Beyond the beautiful flowers themselves, customer service with Jess at Epoch was great. Starting from the beginning email communications, Jess provided a very thoughtful and artistic 30-page proposal based on my initial description of what we envisioned for our wedding. It was clear from the get-go that Jess is super detail-oriented and and really cares about her work. Following that, Jess was very accommodating when it came to specific requests we had. For example, gardenias are a significant flower to me and she was able to incorporate it into our overall design even though they couldn't be added to my bridal bouquet. She also made suggestions based on her prior experience working at the venue and from a professional point of view. She wasn't pushy when it came to adding more florals and let us make the decision ourselves. Lastly, we ran into issues with returning all the rental items (hurricanes, bud vases, ikebanas, etc) and Jess was extremely understanding when it came to settling on a price to replace the items. As a customer, this is the type of service that really differentiates good and great businesses - Jess's intention wasn't to gain from our loss, and she prioritized our relationship over the monetary value and I think that's what makes her stand out. So TLDR; if you're looking for beautiful flowers and also a wonderful experience, go with Epoch! read more

When it came down to florists, I was searching far and wide on Instagram. I didn't want to reach out to big name florists who already have a following and really wanted to support a woman-owned, small business. I stumbled upon Epoch Floral Atelier and really took a chance on them. They have a fairly small following on social media, little reviews, and I wasn't able to get a feel of their previous work due to the lack of photos on their website and social pages. However; I took a chance and immediately felt Jess' warmth and kindness the moment we hopped on a call to go over what I had envisioned. There was a connection and level of trust developed and my husband and I went with it, and I'm glad we did. Jess came back with a proposal and really listened to everything that I had asked for, right down to incorporating kumquats or calamansi in the arrangements, which is a fruit that my Dad has long-time grown in our backyard. Jess has been extremely responsive throughout the whole process. She offered styling advice on how to set up the tables to accent the flowers, provided the option to rent items, and even accommodated our changes to the initial order. In planning our wedding, I didn't really think through location and the distance our vendors would have to travel. Jess and her team came all the way from Campbell to Vallejo and delivered in a timely fashion. It's a lot to ask for, but they did it without hesitation. The florals came out beautifully! I felt like I was walking in a meadow of spring blooms and it's exactly what I was going for. Jess and her team did a phenomenal job and was sweet to offer extras like boutonnieres for my brother-in-laws and extra flowers for our photographer to shoot in the flat-lay detail shots. My one piece of feedback is to provide a list of all the rental items that will be in use well before the wedding. The email I received was sent on the day of and I was away from my phone for most of the day. By the time our wedding ended, all that we accounted for were the remaining bud vases and the white urns. Everything else, we didn't know was part of the rental until we had viewed the email. Thank you, Jess, for creating art for our wedding! read more

Working with Jess for our wedding was amazing! She is super easy to work with, understands your vision and honestly gets "it". She made the whole wedding planning super easy when it came to flowers and design. My wife loved every bit of it and now she is trying to preserve the wedding flowers so we can have them forever. Thanks Jess for taking so many of our calls and questions!! Great price as well! Highly recommend! read more

Epoch captured our vision for wedding florals perfectly, building and expanding on our initial ideas. We loved how beautiful, whimsical, and unique the arrangements were, and the wedding party had fun picking between the boutonnières and bouquets. read more

Jess did an amazing job as my florist and was able to transform my very poor description of what I wanted into reality. The initial phone call with her was helpful in getting to know her and to describe to her the look and feel I wanted for the church and brewery. She also gave me several price options when her first proposal was over budget. I was absolutely enamored by my bouquet. It was lush, beautiful, and so unique. Many of the flowers used at my wedding, I had never seen before and it was such a lovely surprise upon entering the church, then brewery. She's easy to work with and the brewery manager complimented her on how helpful Jess and her team were. I had booked her friend Kelly, from Soyi Makeup and Hair, and Jess was kind enough to share some of the flowers from my wedding with Kelly to place in my hair for the ceremony. My only tip would be to inform Jess if you want to keep any of the flowers after the wedding. She had taken away the larger more expensive pieces without asking and I would have loved to keep them in my living room to enjoy. She explained she was trying to help the brewery clean and should have asked me what I wanted. Other than that, I would highly recommend her and her team. Before her I didn't realize how much I loved flowers. read more

Jess made my absolute dream wedding florals come true! After our initial consult, she sent me a beautifully pieced together PDF of her ideas/vision for the florals which must have taken her so much time. We discussed any changes, and then signed the contract. She was extremely responsive, flexible, and understanding throughout the entire wedding process which made my life as a bride so much easier. On the day of the wedding, she was there early and had her set-up process down to a schedule. I have to say, the florals were absolutely stunning and had my guests asking for the name of my florist. I feel that her work was truly worth more than what I paid for and I appreciate everything that she did so much. I don't know how to give more than 5 stars but I would if I could! read more

When we started planning our wedding, we considered doing the florals ourselves to try and save money. Then, our makeup artist referred us to Epoch Floral Atelier, and after looking at Jess's work we decided to go with her. It turned out to be a fantastic decision - everything was so stunning that it made the idea of doing the flowers ourselves seem ridiculous in retrospect. All the arrangements, including table garlands, bouquets and boutonnieres, ceremony arch, dessert and welcome tables, and sweetheart table were beautiful, complemented the venue and décor perfectly, and made the whole scene look like a fairy tale. Why do we think it would have been insane to not work with Jess for our wedding? For starters, our venue allowed for a very limited setup time - under ninety minutes. Jess managed to set everything up in the limited window of time with just a couple of people that she brought to help her. This actually helped us save on costs, because she assured us that we did not have to hire more staff from the venue to help with setup - and she was completely right. She and her team finished decorating the entire space (which was quite large!) well before our guests arrived. Furthermore, Jess was also extremely respectful of our budget. When we discussed flower preferences, we mentioned that we love peonies. Jess let us know up front that peonies would be out of season during our wedding, and that they are one of the more costly flowers. On the day of the wedding, however, we were shocked to find what we thought were peonies in the bridal party's bouquets! When we asked about them, Jess told us that they were actually garden roses - but the ones that she had picked looked so similar to peonies that we would never have known the difference. I was so touched and grateful that she was able to make my vision come true even though it had seemed impossible. We were also super pleased with our wedding party bouquets and boutonnieres. The bouquets were incredibly fresh and full but still light and easy to hold. The boutonnieres were very elegant and held together very well throughout the entire wedding. Jess also provided a brochure instructing us on how to hold the bouquets and pin the boutonnieres on different types of clothing, which was extremely helpful. She even added an extra boutonniere into the final package that she delivered to us, which was a godsend because we ended up needing it! All in all, we couldn't have been happier with our decision to hire Epoch Floral Atelier. Jess totally transformed our venue into an elegant storybook setting and we're so grateful to have worked with her for our wedding. (photos from Inloveness Photography and Soyi Makeup) read more

Designed flowers with a Costco price tag. Had some flowers delivered for my mom for Mother's Day. Usually when I ordered online flowers they come in this tiny little basket and the flowers are all banged up by delivery. Epoch definitely took extra care; the arrangement were huge, flowers were healthy and vibrant. Mom was happy 10/10. Will use again. read more

had a traditional Korean wedding at my church a month ago. Jess was very detailed and easy to talk to during the consultation and she asked all the right questions regarding colors of my Hanbok, the wedding styles that I like and our wedding color themes. She gave me good suggestions on having a floral hair ornament to make my look complete. The floral hair ornament was lovely and I was happy that I took her advice. I told her that I am petite in size and I didn't want a big bouquet as I worried that the bouquet would be too big for me in my wedding pictures. The bridal bouquet turned out to be perfect for me and it was cute but still beautiful with all the flowers that I like. I also love the centerpiece that she made for my sweetheart table. It was very stunning with a lot of flowers and everything matched with my theme very nicely. At the end of the day I got many compliments on my look and how everything went well together. I am really happy that I chose Epoch Floral Atelier to be my florist on my wedding day. Thanks read more

First of all I am not the kind of person who gives comment everywhere but this time I really want to thank the designers from Epoch Floral Atelier for helping me to pick a bridal bouquet for my sister. It was about 2 months ago I ordered a bridal bouquet for my sister's elopement. I knew my sister wanted her wedding ceremony to be simple and casual but at the very last minute I wanted to surprise her with a bouquet in her favorite colors. However, I had no idea what to order or the current trends or styles and I didn't even know where to begin with!! The only thing I knew is that my sister likes purple so I just honestly told Jess and Kelly that I wanted a purple bridal bouquet but I don't know what style my sister would want. The designers were nice and kind to me. They showed me bouquets in different styles and I am very satisfied with their patience because I was very indecisive at the time, only 2 days away from the wedding!!!! They also thoughtfully recommended me to add a boutonnière for the groom and it was a great idea. I felt very relieved right after I talked to them because I knew I was taken care of in the right hands When I showed the couple their bouquet and boutonnière they were more than happy with them. The flowers were fresh and everything was really beautiful. I would never imagine a last minuet bouquet could be this beautiful and my sister even kept the flowers for a week after the ceremony. Epoch Floral Atelier is the best for indecisive people like me read more
