There wasn't a line to order and I ordered 4 tenders with sauce and a garden salad right away. I had to wait about 15 minutes for my food. 3.5 stars. We used to get Wings N Things catered at work every so often. We haven't had it in awhile and we saw that this one just opened in our neck of the woods. Offered it as a suggestion to my wife and she was down. I placed our order over the phone and headed on down. We got the "Double Meal" which is 8 strips, 4 breadsticks, carrots/celery and a thing of either ranch or blue cheese. Total after tax was $14.58. Seems a bit steep for chicken strips but they are decent sized and I guess overall they are semi worth it. They don't really discount anything unless you buy a family type meal or above. The "double meal" is the same price as two "single meals". Usually a place will cut some kind of break if you are ordering double the amount of food. Anyways....its small and nitpicky but still....................... I got the bag home and when I reached in, I felt some sauce. Whoever packed the order up did not close the lid of the chicken. The strips were swimming in sauce and since the lid was loose, it seeped out a bit all over the bags of carrots and ranch dressing etc. Not too big of a deal but it is totally preventable if the packer would have just snapped the lid on correctly. The chicken strips were really good! They give you 8 decent sized pieces covered in your choice of sauce. We went with medium and it was a good blend of tangy and just a tad bit of heat. Their breadsticks are warm and brushed with a garlic butter type deal. Tasty enough. I would probably order a few extra bread sticks next time. This is the type of place that you sort of have to crave to really enjoy. It's not an every day or few times a month type spot (unless you really love buffalo wings). Its just a teeny bit pricey for what you get, too. I usually love Epic Wings and the service but now I'm slightly concerned if safety measures are being taken since we're in the middle of the CoVID-19 pandemic and Epic Wings got our take-out order incorrect and although the manager was super nice and offered to fix our order...they asked for us to return our food that was incorrectly bagged. The food had already been brought home and put on our counter before we called to tell them items were incorrect and missing. My experience was not so great here the other day. My co worker and I stopped by on our lunch break cause we were desperately craving wings. I ordered a bone in wings medium plate. The cashiers were very nice and took our order quick. Our order took a total of 28 minutes until it got to us, which sucked because we were on our lunch break and didn't have much time. When I got my order, I didn't realize it right away, but I got tenders instead of wings. I could have let them know, but I didn't have the time to wait for a new plate, so I just ate what I got. Visited Wings-N-Things at 9331 Mission Gorge Rd in Santee today for lunch. I called in my order approached counter paid my money and waiting for order to come up. The lady in line after me had done the same thing. The difference was the young male clerk at the counter offered her a cold drink while she waited, he did not do the same for me. I was angered by the event and tried to figure out why I didn't deserve the same courtesy of a cold drink. We were both women, we both had heads, two eyes and feet. There was a difference, we were different races. I am not being overly sensitive, good customer service is hard to find. Please train your employees to provide the same good customer service to all of your customers. No matter how good your food might be, poor customer service is a valid reason not to patronize your restaurant. read more
