Short: Great selection of movies (dvd) and Cds. For those who love physical media. Staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, good experience. Visited 4th of July weekend '22. I walked in with a friend, since she was looking for some CD albums. When you walk in, there are music and movie posters on the wall for sale. The whole place gives off a certain cool vibe, which I liked. They have very organized shelves, of DVDs and CDs. In the back were also vinyls. For the most part, it was spacious enough to stroll slowly and search for discoveries. Overall, it is a nice store to browse around and find something you might have needed or wanted, especially if it isn't directly in print nowadays.

Found these gems; 5 DVDs for $10? Yes please!

Great place to look for reasonably priced games and movies. It's nice to find some obscure movies you can't find elsewhere.

Great place to buy games and consoles. But, this new Groupon I predict will NOT be accepted by your fans.

I stopped by CD/Game Exchange as a last ditch effort to score several second-hand PlayStation Move controllers.

I've been coming in here for years and never had a problem. I really enjoy coming in here, and no trip to Valley River Center is complete without a stop into Game Stop. Employees in here are fantastic. They are always helpful and typically check to see if I need anything as I'm looking around. Sometimes when they are super busy, I'll have to go hunt one down. But obviously when they are busy, I can be patient. So I'll tell them when they are done with whatever they are currently doing for another customer, I have questions, so come find me in the store. Which they have no problem doing. You just need to tell them that you need something, so they are aware. They are always more than willing to help me find whatever I need, answer any questions, which I typically have, especially when I come in here on my own without my husband. The store is tiny, and can easily feel cramped if there are a lot of people in here. They have a big product selection, I love that they sell used games, which are in good condition. I have never had a problem with a used game I've bought here. I know they always ask you if you want to buy a warranty, which is like $3. It isn't a bad deal, but I've never needed it, so I rarely buy it, unless I buy games for my nephew. For a 7 year old, I think the warranty is actually a great idea. They don't carry obscure or old system games. It's mostly for newer consoles, Xbox360, Xbox One, PS4, the newest DS, ect. It's not like you'll find original Game Boy games or anything like that here. If that's what you're looking for, go to a used game store that is local, not a corporate store. I've only bought a warranty on a game once, and it was simply because it was a gift for my 7 year old nephew. Which pretty much means he can destroy it and still return it and have it replaced. They put some sort of sticker or something on the case, and explained it to me. The important thing was I didn't have to worry about a receipt for my sister in-law, if she needed to return it for my nephew, and she could return it in Salem, where she lives. Which isn't a problem. Obviously they have a good return policy, being anything can be returned to any Game Stop store, no matter the location. Which makes buying gifts with the warranty a great thing. I dislike that they answer the phone while they are talking to you, but with only a couple employees, they do have to multi-task. It's annoying, but they are just trying to do business, and will ask the customer on the phone to hold because they are with customers. So it's not like they get distracted by the phone. Will I return? Absolutely! I have never had a problem in the store. Even when they are busy, I never have to wait long to have someone help me, and they are always super friendly and knowledgeable.

In fact I got text saying i owed a few dollars in late fees. Text sounded a little snarky .I responded to him right away and a told him I would come pay the fees the next day- I told him I was terribly sorry for the oversight. I got a response right away saying thank you for my understanding. If you have a late fee - just pay it. It might not be much but if everyone owed a dollar it would add up real.quick.. The organization of the movies is odd to me... BUTT....you can ask an employee to help and they are always willing to. Like I said- I love this place!

I need to see the box. Look at the pictures on the back and really weigh my options. That's why I love this place. I can rent games for all systems. I can rent DVDs and blue rays. I can choose from a physical selection instead of virtual. They have it all and its close to home. Hello instant gratification. The real bonus isn't the selection and gratifaction. It's the prices and customer service. The employees will bend over backwards for the customers. Reserving games and movies to make the customer happy. The prices are so affordable. Rent a game for $4 for 3 days. And for a dollar a day after that you can re rent for two days. This place is amazing. I can only hope that it weathers and stands 20 years from now.
