Went in there with my buddy to get information on a orbea gain ebike and felt like the shop was very judgmental never were we given a try on the bike to see if we wanted to proceed and i actually knew more about the bike than the the first rep next thing we know my buddy gos to see the items in the shop and the rep could not take his eyes off the cameras sadly this is where we are at today we both have over 15k in bikes and was simply looking to purchase an e bike i guess we will have to take our interest to another shop that will respect and honor all customers regardless of what they look like here are my two bikes and i own my very own business and would never treat anyone like this read more

Avoid Dalton at all costs. His voice message box is full (of complaints I'm sure), once the money has transfered, expect to be ghosted by him. I needed my bike in 2 1/2 weeks for a ride I was going on, he promised me I'd have it, he blew that by 5 days, had to cancel the ride. Wanted hard ware on my new 3T for a carbon fiber seat, promised, not received. Wanted Chris King bottom bracket, I was willing to pay for, he said he'd have his mechanics install, never happened. Fulcrum rims, he said came with the bike never happened. The $2,000 Discus wheels with Chris King hubs I paid for turned out to be $1,000 7 year old design wheels with junk 3T hubs. This is the 3rd bike I've purchased online, the first 2 bike shops appreciated my business, got my order right and the bikes arrived 2 days before promised. If you're expecting customer service, go elsewhere. I will be getting my money back and highly recommend Dalton go back to selling used cars, time shares, or cemetery plots, something he's more qualified for. read more

Five stars for the coffee bar. After riding this is the place to come for coffee. The cappuccino is excellent. Nice to sit and watch everyone running, riding or walking on the trail, or simply enjoying the breeze off the lake. Always look forward to the coffee after a ride. read more

I was looking for a spoke wrench for my bike they told me they don't sell them, I then asked if they service bikes he stated they do. Brought my bike in to the service guy, he asked what's wrong told him spokes need to be tightened he asked we're I bought the bike told him online he stated they don't work on internet bikes. Buy somewhere else. This shop owner does not care and is horribly rude if you're not buying a VERY expensive bike. Also, Kids and wife's not welcome apparently... Jerks I've never experience am more condescending staff and owner... well, ever. I've always wanted to stop in this place, but never really had a need. Finally decided to ride to the coffee bar they have attached. (* which apart from the bike shop is phenomenal ) After my coffee I decided to go look for a set of new wheels for my and accessories for my stand up land paddle board and as well as see if they had any bike options for my wife and kids who need the upgrade. A bit of browsing without as much of a hello from the owner and staff member, who all but looked at me as if I was going to steal something. They only have super high end bikes on display. I finally asked if they had a catalog or any suggestions on beginner bikes for my wife. Just shaking his head no and not speaking it appeared not. So I asked about kids bikes or something that would fit them... same shaking his head no with out a word. Lastly I needed a set of new tires for my bike and I asked if they had a new wheel set or tires that would fit and the same condescending head shake without uttering a word. I said ok and went back to the coffee shop to exit. I asked the coffee barista if they had the name of the owner so I could offer a suggestion about the staff... he pointed at the same man I was talking to and said, that was the owner. I am stunned that this place is still in business or that any shop owner would that such an attitude with Clermont trail riders and waterfront patrons. Maybe I'm not the triathlon clientele they are looking for, but no reason to treat people with such disrespect. Needed to have my older bike checked for brake problems. I stopped by another bike shop in Clermont and they told me they were only fixing flat tires and could not look at my bike until 4 weeks because of being backed up. I decided to stop by Epic Cycles World in downtown Clermont and see if they could check my bike. They were very friendly and told me the cost of a tuneup which was similar to the other shop's cost. I asked how long it would take and they mentioned about 4 days. I was glad to have someone check the brake problem. Roman contacted me when the bike was ready and when I picked the bike up it was repaired with the brake problem fixed. They also checked everything else and cleaned and lubricated the chain. While we were there we saw some new bikes that were super light with aluminum frames and we decided to purchase. Roman helped my wife and I decide on the sizes that we needed and we were very pleased with our decisions. He is extremely knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. My old bike rack for my car was also upgraded with a new Kuat bike rack that they sold me which is much easier to use. We were able to sell our old bikes and bike rack the same day we posted them for sale. The buyer for my old bike was glad I had it tuned up which helped to sell it. I would highly recommend stopping by and seeing what Epic Cycles World has to offer and relax in the atmosphere in the Energy Lab cafe. read more

Wow! I can't believe the other reviews are talking about the same place. The guys are great at the Epic in DT Clermont. I have been in a handful of times, and no I don't ride a "Lamborghini" bike but MTB and e-bikes. Some of the maintenance I am unfamiliar with, like truing wheels, and they have always shared their knowledge when it is an issue I can fix myself or let me know the best options (price vs. quality) when something needs to be repaired or replaced. I have always been greeted warmly as well, and never treated like a "Clyde" even though I don't race and I'm well over my ideal weight. And it should be said that Epic and its employees are advocates for the rights and safety of all bicyclists in the greater Clermont area. I've seen them at the meetings in the council chambers. read more

I'm giving this bicycle shop a one star review. My wife and I came in to the store a little over a week ago. We are long-distance runners and we just got finished a 13 mile run. I was going to grab some nutrition and maybe check out the shop's coffee bar. I am a very experienced cyclist and actually managed 2 retail bicycle stores for about 20+ years. I've never walked into a bicycle shop and experienced a total disregard of my presence by every employee in the store. My wife and I were walking around looking at some of their higher-end bicycles. We were talking about bicycles out loud and the girl who sat at the counter completely Ignored us. We walked right by her and she didn't even look up from her computer. Another employee wearing a apron walking around the store walked right by my wife, excuse himself and walked right around her without saying hello or asking if we needed help. We then both walked back towards the coffee bar and there was a gentleman standing behind the counter and again he did not say hello, greet us or ask us if we needed anything. Also please note that there was only one other customer in the store at this time so it is not as if the employees were busy helping other people. What has finally led me to leave this poor review is the fact that I sent the store an email through their "contact us" information email address and explained how disappointed I was in the experience in the store. This was over a week ago and I received no response from my email. I would most definitely not suggest shopping in this store. read more

Epic Cycles is just beautiful - it's like a bike museum with lots of great products. Had a bit of a bad experience however. I took my Litespeed in for 3 things: new bar wrap, concern about a slow leak in the rear tire, and an estimate for what it would cost to change one of my shift levers (the model that is on there now is no longer made by the manufacturer). Roman showed me where the bar tape was, I chose one and he scanned it at the register. I was later quoted between $250 -$300 for a comparable gear shift lever. I explained that I didn't have the money to do that repair AT THE TIME and that it would have to wait. When I picked up the bike, I failed to check the job on the bar wrap but later noticed what a poor and uneven job was done - including the use of a gray trim tape when I had selected an all black tape. The ends were finished with what appeared to be an electrical tape and one side was loose. The left side of the wrap was not finished properly at the bar tubing opening so it caused the end cap to fall out and of course, was lost. I took it back to the shop and was told by Steve - and I quote - "You didn't want to spend a lot of money so we used some leftover tape from someone else's job." I was well aware of the cost of the tape as I selected it off the shelf and saw Roman scan it at the register. To use tape I hadn't selected and then to be told it was because I didn't want to spend a lot of money is - well, this is wrong on so many levels. In all fairness, Kenny re-did my bar tape at Epic Cycles and he did an amazing job. Not sure who did my wrap job initially but definitely ask for Kenny if this is something you need done. read more

Pretty cool bike shop with some (excellent) rare brands! Think of Ferrari's and Lamborghini's. The staff is helpful and willing to work on prices. I bought a pair of Zipp 404 carbon clinchers at a price I couldn't afford to pass up. On the weekends, Epic Cycles throws down awesome group rides through out the hills of Clermont. If you want a challenge, ride with the Group A guys. Just bring a fresh pair of legs and get ready for a hurting! I always recommend them to everyone and anyone. Been visiting this shop since they opened across highway 27 in 2008. Now they are moving to downtown lakefront Clermont on the South Lake Trail this Fall, for which I can't wait! Super knowledgeable guys that keep me rolling. High end international brand bikes, only wish they carried a high end domestic, Specialized S-Works for example. Won't hold that against them because they carry great accessories. They're expert Campagnolo mechanics too. Great Sunday group rides that traverse the hills of Lake County. Once downtown, they'll certainly continue to be the number one shop in Clermont. Future is bright for this business. read more

Epic Cycle is a prime example of what a local bike shop should be! From the moment I walked in the door I had Roman's undivided attention and he was willing to help in whatever way possible. I spent over an hour with Roman the first visit talking about my needs in my new road bike. He didn't try to just put me on any bike and get me out the door, like many other shops in the area had tried to do. Rather he spoke to me about different advantages and disadvantages of certain bikes and different components of the bikes in detail. Roman knows his stuff! He asked what my budget was and made sure to stay in that range, rather than offer me bikes almost twice that which often happened elsewhere. Epic Cycles was my last stop in my search for a new bike and I am certainly glad I stopped in. Roman's helpfulness, professionalism and knowledge helped make this decision very easy.
