in early March of this year 2026, I took my bike to Orlando on vacation with me. I had been struggling with a sprocket chain that came off the gears often. When I drove to a trail nearby, my condo, my sprocket chain fell off as I took my bike out of the car. I tried to put it back on, but I couldn't get it on. I searched online for a bike shop nearby and found this shop although on the Google map it was called David's World of Cycles. I drove there and walked in, and Felix asked how he could help. I told him I had an old bike that needed a sprocket chain repair. He came outside and helped me take my bike out of my car and took it inside. He took a look at it and call me how he could help and I told him I'd like to get a total repair because my bike was 11 years old and needing several things. I needed a new back tire, the brakes needed tightened, the derailer needed replaced, and the seat needed tightening. He gave me an estimate, and I wanted to pay in advance so he typed my name into his computer and to my surprise, my name and info was already in there. He told me that his shop was it Trek bike shop and that my bike was a Trek brand. I had no idea. My name was still in the computer from where I had bought my bike in Virginia 11 years ago. I felt like my bike had found the mothership. Felix was very encouraging and said he would try to fix my bike. It took a couple days, but it was a beautiful when it was done. When I went back, Gus helped me put my bike back on my bike rack. I found the staff of this bike shop to be so friendly and helpful and I was so very grateful. This place is amazing for bike, tuneups or for purchasing new bikes. We hadn't had our bikes serviced since our purchase so we needed to get them serviced and road-ready. Jonathan (manager-owner) was extremely professional and clear in what needed to be done for each bike. They hoisted the bikes and Pointed out the specifics of the service. They were so transparent and set the expectations of what the costs would be. No surprises. Rebecca was also extremely informative, friendly, and spent time with us to explain the bikes that were available, and the accoutrement that we could place to our current bikes. When my wife picked up the bikes, Rebecca assisted, and even explained how we could better utilize our bike transport rack. Service!!! Thanks to my fellow Yelpers, based on THEIR reviews, I took my old dusty Mongoose to David's for a tuneup. I am sooooo glad I walked my bike all the way past the other shop on Edgewater and over to David's! The folks here are low key, easy going and they know bikes!! I don't need a lot of glitz and glam, I just need my bike to be in top condition. It's truly a service-oriented business. YES, they have a GREAT inventory off bikes, including ELECTRIC ones you can test drive!! I asked about an upright recumbent, but they don't stock those. They did have several of the ground level models that looked very enticing and when I am ready to get one, David's is the place to go. They also have a good assortment of bike accessories and they post their service price options right on the wall so you get no $$$ surprises when your bike is ready to roll! They told me they were backed up, but my bike should be ready in a week and they called me just three days later to say it was good to go. I checked out and they made sure the seat was perfectly adjusted before I pedaled cheerily into the sunset in charming College Park. read more

From the second I walked in until the second I left, I knew I could count on this team for all my family's biking needs. Bought a 24-inch Trek for my son and an accessory which they installed without asking. I asked if they had any discounts or specials and they asked me if I had a trade. I actually did and they offered me triple the amount for my trade that the Clermont Trek store offered me despite me having purchased the bike I was trading from the Clermont Trek store originally. We've been to 2 other locations and this one is our favorite. Mainly because of the service. Everyone here is kind and helpful. We came a couple weeks ago. They are only allowing 2 pairs of customers at a time. A large space, but It is easy to find things. Almost a year ago now, I bought my Trek road bike. More recently, my helmet (shown in picture). The shop is adhering to social distancing and allows only 4 customers in at a time. Be careful of times you decide to visit you may be waiting outside of up to 30min... but once you get inside they have a great selection of Trek bikes from fitness to Off-road, to cycling attire and accessories. I love this place and I love how nice everyone who works here is! I have been looking for a Bike for the past few months. I live in College Park and have been to the Bike Shop over in at the Lake Ivanhoe area. They weren't very friendly there. I had also gone over to the other shop on Edgewater with the "Orange" and while that place was friendly, everyone seemed so busy that no one really took the time to ask me if I needed or was looking for something. I stopped in on a whim on Saturday 10/2 and met Darrell. He greeted me right away and asked me if I was looking for something in particular. I explained to him what I was looking for in a bike and took me over to look at a few bikes. He took the time to pull a few bikes out of the wall and have me sit on a few. He even took them outside for a test drive. No one at any shop had even asked me half of what he did. Not only did he do it, he took the time to recommend a few bikes and take them out for a ride. A the end i ended up taking a Marlin 5 in red that he had one of the techs adjust for me. That was it. I knew I had found what I wanted and it fit like a glove! I don't know why the other places never bothered to ask me anything and one place just had grouchy people. David's not only made a sale, I have already told many people about my experience. These guys are so helpful and knowledgeable. They came to my home and fixed a flat tire on my old cruiser bike in record time! All I had to do was send a photo of the markings on the tire and their tech brought the right inner tube and replaced it. He even raised the seat a bit to fit my height. Been to the Wildwood store several times hoping my experience would improve. The location is close to my home, so I was really hoping things would work out. Each visit I came away disappointed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the pricing for repairs. The reason for my visits was to tune up and replace a front tire on my Trek FX and to also purchase a new bike. I was quoted over $300 for the repair work on one visit and refused on another visit because staff said they couldn't get a tire for the bike. I fortunately found another retailer who had/installed a tire and completed the tune up in one day all for $100. That's called excellent service, folks. Regarding a new bike? Forget it, the staff did not even try. Yes, I get that inventory is low and wait times for special orders are long, but staff did not even try to help me find a bike that I would like. I'm working with the other retailer in this regard because at least he cares and is willing to try. I worked in retail for over 20 years and know a bad one when I see it. Like I said at the outset, DWC in Wildwood is a disappointment and it's too bad because I really didn't want it to be. read more

After a very rude encounter down the street at another bike shop ,I will not be stepping foot back into by the way, the experience at Trek was the exact opposite. I was treated with respect and a valued customer. The original issue would be fixed but other issues arose when we looked closer at the bike. Instead of rude comments, I was presented with options to fix the issues. This is how you treat customers. Not everyone is a high end bike rider and knowledge as such. We were sown the issues. The first thing you'll notice as you approach this College Park bike shop are the comfort bikes lined up out front. It's clear that their increasing popularity has bicycle stores taking notice including this one. Once inside, you'll notice everything you'd want to see--rows of road bikes, mountain bikes, children's bikes, helmets, accessories, and an area for bike maintenance. It wasn't particularly busy when I was there which was good for the gentlemen who was there and needed assistance because he got it right away. The selection of bikes was pretty good as far as brands go. The range of prices was also pretty good. If you wanted a top of the line bike or an average one, you'd be able to walk out of there with something. There are a few other locations around Central Florida and the west coast, like Tampa, so if you can't make it to one here, find your way to another store. read more

BUYERS BEWARE!!! Dishonest business practices that fraudulently acquired personal data without fulfilling orders. Having made my first online purchase with a confirmation of product availability in stock, I relinquished substantial personal information including name, address, credit card numbers, etc. Approval was issued, an order was placed. The following day an email was received from Ray, notification that my order was canceled. He indicated all products ordered were available but not at the warehouse, yet in stock at their storefront locations. For that reason he was Unwilling to fulfill my order and issued a refund. Suspicious, deceptive, possibly criminal. The refund is not the point, it's they acquired my information without shipping product that's available in stock. Are they in the bike business, or stealing personal data profession? Think twice before conducting business with these shysters, I'm not bitter, though I am very concerned, as so should you. Every time I ride my bike I think anew of how much I dislike David's. Last time there I paid them more - in advance! - than I paid for my bike new; $280. The new tires went bald in no time. In my 60 years I've never had a tire go bald. One of the new tubes was defective and leaked at a seam. I couldn't bear for them to have my bike for another 2 weeks ago so I replaced it myself. And I just bought new tires on line. Adding insult to injury, they didn't fix one of the major problems I took it in for: A derailleur that slips. read more

I was recently in the market for my first bicycle & made a pit stop at David's World Cycle to check out their selection. As soon as I walked in the door their staff greeted my party, made sure we knew where we could find what we were looking for & pointed us in the right direction. David's has a huge selection of road, mountain & hybrid bikes. Pretty much any type of bike you can think of. I was in the market for a Cruiser (SO cute right?) & their staff walked me through all the intricacies of the various options they had in stock, as well as the accessories I could add like baskets, removable carry-ons, etc. I wasn't wearing the right shoes so I couldn't test drive one but I was told if I came back with sneakers they'd let me take several of the bikes around the block to check them out, I loved that option. In all, I really enjoyed my experience at David's. The reason David's gets four stars instead of five is because the bikes are a little pricey. As I compared prices throughout several bike shops in town David's was on the higher end. Other than that, great selection, nice store, good staff! read more

Amazing repair department. The tech performing my service was very knowledgeable and quick in his repair and walked me through the entire process of what was wrong with my bike and how to fix it. A previous bike shop had incorrectly done my repair and wouldn't take full ownership, but these guys came to my rescue. And the icing on the cake: the repair cost half as much as it did from the previous shop. I will certainly be returning back here should my bike need more service. read more

I have purchased two bikes so far from David's world cycle and both experiences where extremely pleasant and accommodating. The second bike was for my wife and we had an incident with the bike that was an honest mistake and could have happened to any business being that nobody is perfect and accidents happen. That being said David's World was hands down the best customer service I have ever received in correcting the problem and truly being sorry that the incident even happened. They went above and beyond to make sure we understood how valuable a customer we were. Even with a personal note from the owner David himself. You rarely see customer service like we experienced in the world today anymore. Even though a mistake was made, the response to that mistake by everyone at David's cycle we interacted with is why they have gained customers for life! I will never purchase another bike or equipment from anywhere else. Took two bikes in for tune ups. A Trek I had bought used for $200 there and a Townie that I bought new. They charged me $450.00. $130.00 for parts and $320.00 for the maintenance. Really feel ripped off. The more I think about it the angrier I get. Service is way over priced. I could see if I had a $4000.00 bike, but ridiculous service prices. Will not be back and will spread the word in Maitland. read more

David's World on Edgewater drive had a large selection of mostly road bikes but also tri bikes, mountain and hybrid varieties. I was in the market for a tri/road bike and was pleasantly surprised to see that they had several tri bikes that would fit me. Unlike some bike shops located near a trail the only place to test ride is on a somewhat uneven College Park road. The employee I dealt with was distracted by phone calls and other customers but did allow me to try several bikes. It took a while because he had to add pedals to each bike before I could ride it. There was something off about the guy too... I can't quite place my finger on it but he seemed very dry. Not really unfriendly but he didn't give me a lot of confidence either. Maybe it was his level of distraction. I didn't have enough time to finish test riding the road bikes and plan on coming back soon. The reason David's gets 4 stars instead of three is because they had one of the largest selections of triathlon stuff I've seen, anywhere. For a bike shop I found that pretty impressive! read more

Given that I've lived in the Central Florida area for nearly 14 years, and in the downtown Orlando area for about 1/2 of that, it's quite surprising I only just visited David's this past weekend for the first time. But given that, I can definitely say I'll be back in the future. I went to David's to pick up a packet for a race I was involved in, and needed to get a few things as well: the front tire for my mountain bike adjusted; a helmet; and a water bottle mount and bottle. I was able to get all three successfully and was quite impressed with the turnout of service. One female sales associate in particular was extremely nice and helpful. Unfortunately, I don't remember her name and wasn't smart enough to remember it at the time. The guy who fixed my front tire, while helpful and did a wonderful job, wasn't quite as "nice" or friendly, but oh well.... I've typically shopped at Orange Cycle just down the street from David's in the past, but will certainly become a patron of David's for any of my cycle needs from now on. read more

Went in for a comparison, left with my 1st road bike! (On order, that is.) I'm new to bicycles. Well, cycling as an adult for some real speed. Last month there was a big sale at the other bike shop. I saw something that interested me (mind you, I've been browsing for months) but considered it important to try out the different sizes. I'm 5'8" and wasn't sure about the size. It was so crowded because of the sale, we went down to DWC. The staff that helped us there were so into cycling and really knew their stuff. We took a lot of time, tried a couple of bikes. and compared prices. I was a little apprehensive at first, but they really are nice. They know that the bikes are quality and the most important job they have is to be able to answer any question I had. I ended up falling in love with the feel of my Trek Alexa. It rides oh-so smooth. I may or may not have wrecked a couple weeks ago, and they fixed my brakes right up, free of charge. They're so great! I hope to run in to them at RAGBRAI! Definitely my home bike shop for as long as I live in College Park. read more

I hardly ever write online reviews; however, I felt compelled to give these guys a great one. An issue arose after I needed a repair done asap... A part that didn't truly fit the bike was ordered and was unable to be installed. I was on an incredibly tight time constraint and instead of me leaving without the problem solved, they made it right. Jude and Eric went above and beyond to help me out when I needed it. Hands down, these guys offer the best service in the Central Florida area. I will never go to another bike shop for as long as I am an Orlando resident. read more

I am 70 years old and when I was in my 20's I raced bikes competitvely for 35 years I had the bike hanging in one place or another over several moves pretty much all that was left was the Reynolds 531 frame. I had some campi parts that I purchased in my 20's that were now classic parts still in the original boxes " new record" crank. side pull brakes two set of hubs with fiami rims, finger tip shifter ect I took the whole thing down to davids essentially in a box Richard took over the restoration and along with a new brooks professional seat and some odds and ends Richard hadn't seen most of what I had in many years and enthusiastically rebuilt the bike for me from the ground up it came out awesome, I get many compliments on the bike as it is a one of a kind it looks fast standing still. I cant thank Richard and his staff at lake mary from raising the bike from the ashes like the phoenix read more

Tip. Go somewhere else if you want help with anything bike related. Needed some clips put on my bike shoes. I bought the clips there, showed them where to put them. It took the guy 10 minutes. $25 dollars. Wow. Other bike shops would have just put them on or charge a smaller fee. I spend hundreds of dollars on this sport. You would think they"d want to build a relationship with their clients. read more

BE CAREFUL! Dave's was selected to ship a used bike to me in California. I called to emphasize that great care should be taken to protect the bike from damage during shipping. I was especially concerned that packing the front wheel next to the downtube might result in damage to the bike. I package and ship many bikes myself. Typically, if great care is not taken to protect the bike, the front wheel axle may gouge the downtube. I was VERY disappointed to receive the bike with fresh gouging and scratches near the bottle cages on the downtube (see photo). I certainly am disappointed that Dave's showed such inattention to care in packing the Giant XTC (i.e. human failure strikes again). read more

I wish I could give "6 stars". I went to the Orange Blossom Orlando shop in a panic. My mountain bike needed a new gear shifter and I had planned to attend the Santos Bike Festival in 24 hours. Jose dropped everything to look at my bike and after 45 minutes advised that a new part was needed, but not in stock. He located the part at another store and said he would pick it up on his way to work, tomorrow morning. In the end my bike was in prefect condition and ready to go as promised. The store is fantastic and I have never had such great service. While waiting for my repair I noted other people attend for advice and each person was greeted with respect. If I could give it one quarter of a star I would...I didn't realize until he had finished with one wheel that he was quoting me the price per wheel. So he wanted $52 to replace two bicycle tubes!!! Since he had already done the one I got him to knock off seven bucks and do the other one. After I left I called another bicycle shop and inquired on what they would charge... Would have been about $25...don't go to David's world cycle unless you want to be ripped off! read more
