Review Visit: March 23rd, 2014 So just how EPIC! is Epic Burger? Well, not all too epic, actually. My dad and I came here after visiting Shedd's Aquarium and were hoping for some really EPIC!! food. What we got was decent food and some unsatisfied taste buds. Now the food wasn't terrible. But it wasn't EPIC!!! It was just a bit too greasy and a bit light on flavor. We ordered a meal each and the total was about $17-19, so not bad for two people. But 5 Guys is way better, IMO. That is a great burger place to go. SmashBurger even. Those are EPIC!!!! Epic Burger.. not so much. Maybe it will be EPIC!!!!! for you. Maybe not. They have locations all over the Chicagoland area, so if you do want to try it for yourself, they are not too hard to find. There are actually too many locations for me to list without this blog post becoming super long.

I hadn't been to Epic Burger in years, but I decided to stop in after an afternoon of shopping. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who took our order. My sister and I both ordered burgers, fries, and Pepsi. The bill was about $40 for the two of us. The burgers were well proportioned, flavorful, and tasty. The toppings were fresh and plentiful. My sister ordered hers with cheese and bacon. I opted to keep it simple with lettuce, tomato, and various condiments. The fries were so plentiful that neither of us finished them. In retrospect, we agreed that we could have shared a serving. We dined in and found the location clean and comfortable. I'd visit this Epic Burger franchise again for sure.

My first time trying Epic burger was probably what I expected. The burger and fries were just fine for a fast food restaurant. The space was clean and fairly empty for a Saturday afternoon. I would not go out of my way to come back but I also wouldn't be against coming back if a friend suggested.

I've been to a few epic burgers around town and as per fast foot goes it's pretty solid for the price range and quality. I usually go for the classic epic or the cowboy. They have been pretty consistent with how they prepare their burger nice amount of caramelization and charring on the burgers and good toppings. It always comes out like the picture and the fries nice and crisp with different options as well. Service is pretty fast and consistent. Never had wait. Nice and casual place to get a great burger.

Big fan of the sweet potato waffle fries; they came with honey mustard which was very good. The shake was also a bit above average. Burger was fine - nothing crazy but decent. Service was quick, only waited 5 minutes or so. They give you a number and you can go sit down and they bring it to you.

Beyond burger that I took home. Not bad!

It feels slightly upgraded from a true fast food burger joint with their panera bread style ordering system (place your order and payment up front, take a seat with your number anywhere, and they bring your food out to you). While I do enjoy their burgers from time to time, it is a bit on the greasier side. Fries are okay, a tad bland and sometimes seem to go soggy quick. In terms of offerings, a burger (single or double), a turkey burger option, a chicken sandwich, and a veggie burger (beyond meat patty) are all available. They do allow you to pick and choose toppings, with some additional options for cheese, bacon, and a fried egg for an addition up charge are available. For sides, regular fries, sweet potato fries, or a side salad are available. Overall a simplified menu with just a handful of options and ability to customize to your liking is what they aim for. I seem to find myself coming back for their beyond burger from time to time. While I wouldn't say it's the healthiest of foods you could consume, it does bring some satisfaction knowing that I've eaten more veggies for a sitting. Anyways, all around a good option to keep in the affordable meals rotation. Service is quick. Place is usually clean and doesn't seem to ever get too crowded. 'Til next time, cheers!

The Little Bad Wolf isn't just a story... it's a phenom dot com restaurant that you NEED to visit! My family and I visited after a Saturday Cubs game and luckily, there were still a handful of tables available and we were promptly seated. The staff were super friendly and provided excellent service! Almost everyone at our table ordered the Wolf Burger after hearing my sister and her husband rave about it. When our orders came to the table, we were all PLEASANTLY surprised at how beautifully stacked and dressed our burgers were. A triple stack of patties, topped with cheese, bacon, a fried egg, crispy onions, and housemade pickles?! That's a recipe for delicious success right there! The Wolf Burger was indeed SCRUMPTIOUS! My goodness, I am still thinking about it two whole days later and how I can't wait to revisit this restaurant and try some more of their menu items. An honorable mention goes out to the delicious fries on the side!! They were the perfect cut, well-seasoned, and out-of-this-world. I HIGHLY recommend Little Bad Wolf to all folks looking for a delicious experience! The burger is sensational, the environment is impeccable, and this is a great spot if you're going on a date or out with friends.

Lunch - we all got burgers and we all thought they were absolutely fantastic. It wouldn't be fair to compare to another well known for their burger establishment in town wink wink; but the Dearborn burger was very very respectable and...came with fries which were perfectly fried and salted. My son loved them. The burger, cooked incredibly well for a medium. Still juicy. The bread, pickles, sunny side up egg and bacon all lent itself to a well balanced burger. Does it reach the heights of some other spots? Not as much - BUT This would be the best burger in most large American cities. Would highly recommend for a good lunch. The only strange moment of the night occurred when our server snapped at my teenage son while he was ordering. It's a loud restaurant, and she abruptly yelled at him that she couldn't hear him and needed him to speak up. My wife immediately called it out, saying, 'That's very rude,' which seemed to snap the server back to reality. The rest of the meal was completely uneventful, and despite that momentary lapse, I would still go back.
