Ventured here from LI to meet up with a friend and her boyfriend. My friend lives in CT, so it's a good halfway point. The restaurant is in the heart of the Bronx's "Little Italy." There were a lot of options, but I am so happy we chose this place. It's fairly large and a very pretty restaurant. We were seated right away and had a reservation for 4. Service was quick. We all enjoyed our food. My friend had a few snafoos with her food, but they were all fixed. My friend and I are gluten and dairy free and they were very accommodating. This was a huge plus. My friend and I started off sharing the tri color salad. It was a perfect portion for two to share. The guys each got a salad as well that they enjoyed. My friend and her boyfriend both got the lamb chop, they loved it. I got the branzino special. It was deboned very well. It was nice and tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband got the pork braciole. It reminded him of his mother's cooking and he really liked it. The food was delicious. Service was pretty good and the wine selection was as well. We also got espresso shots that were good. I wouldn't go running back only because it's an hour away from me, but it in the area, I would go back again. I recommend it!

We came here on a Sunday and luckily didn't have to wait. We tried the old fashioned, Enzo calamari, shrimp francaise, and chicken parm. The old fashioned was delicious but a touch on the sweeter side which was expected as it was a maple old fashioned. The Enzo calamari was definitely different from your usual calamari and was a nice change. The chicken parm was perfectly cooked. This is a great spot which had been there for years. Looking forward to trying more of the menu.

Great experience at Enzo's. We had my daughter's baby with us and they were very accommodating. I was shocked at how big the restaurant was. It looks a lot smaller when you are at the entryway. Food was very good. Loved our Caprese Salad. We got 4 other dinners and shared family style which was a great way to go.

I came here with my family on a Sunday afternoon for lunch after going to the NY Botanical Garden. We ordered the fried calamari, the Zuppa Di Pesce (shrimp, calamari, clams, mussels, lobster tail with linguine), the Cinque Sorelle pizza (pancetta, smoked mozzarella, pesto, cherry tomatoes, roasted red peppers), and the veal parmigiana (breaded veal cutlet with spaghetti). The portions were huge, definitely shareable and still plenty for leftovers (lunches for the week, score). The seafood pasta was really delicious, had a lot of fresh seafood and definitely had great value. The calamari, veal parmigiana, and the pizza were good as well. We also had tiramisu and creme brulee for dessert which were tasty as well. Service was great, no complaints. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Came here on a Friday night with a large group 7 people and they were able to accommodate us with no reservation. This is a classic Italian restaurant all waiters dressed in black suits. They catered to our table right away immediately serving us drinks. They accidentally gave me a martini with a twist inside of a dirty martini and fixed it with no issues. The food was very good and portions hefty. We tried many things the pastas were both off the charts. Chicken francese was one of the best I have ever had. The truffle mushroom pizza was so good and their crust was fluffy. Overall a great hidden gem.

Went to Arthur Avenue with a friend on a Sunday and made our own little "food crawl." We started at Cosenza's Fish Market, then headed to Bronx Beer Hall inside the Arthur Avenue Retail Market, stopped by Calabria Pork Store, and then had lunch at Enzo's. At Enzo's, we started with a glass of the Montepulciano (only $12) and ordered the appetizer special: polenta with spicy mushrooms. It was tasty and something a bit different. For mains, we split the broccolini and the sausage lasagna. The portions were huge, the broccolini was beautifully cooked, garlicky and flavorful without being too bitter, and the lasagna was a generous slice with a great balance of cheese, meat, and pasta. The entire meal came to about $60 with tip. We were far too full for dessert, but all the options looked great. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

The food was so good. The waitress was very knowledgeable and the service was excellent. All the staff was very friendly and polite. We will be returning to Enzo's and bringing friends and family. The ambience was very nice as well.

Last night i went here with my family for my dad's bday. I wanna give it 3.5 stars. For appetizers, we ordered fried calamari, clams oreganata and seafood salad. For main course, i ordered Rigatoni Bolognese, my nephew ordered Margherita Bolognese, my bro ordered short rib, my dad ordered a fish dish which ended up having bones in it. I tried the pizza also. Rigatoni Bolognese: The sauce had lots of meat but was a little on the saltier side good basil flavor, the pasta itself tasted very fresh. Margerita Pizza: Sauce was good, good basil flavor, Outer Crust had good char, but the bottom was a little too soft. Clams oreganata- eh, nothing to write home about, not much clam. Seafood salad- Not bad, good mix of seafood. Fried calamari - pretty good, light, crispy but fluffy/airy. The mvp of all of the dishes. Overall: it won't be my first pick of the area and is more along the lines of I'll go if my family forces me, but i won't go without them because there's better places nearby. It's not bad, but it's not great, it's just ok.

We came with two big parties after we moved in our frosh kids at Fordham. They were able to accommodate our party of 20 but in two tables in unfortunately two separate locations. Service was patient and friendly. It was a busy Sunday night. The food was top notch. Didn't get pics of everything, but the wine and food were flowing. We had a good dinner and appreciate they can accommodate us. We'll be back!

The resturant is quite nicely decorated and typical Italian white table cloth. The food was okay, my favorite was the fried meatball. The carbonara was a bit too greasy and didn't really have much flavor.

All 5 were very happy with meal and the price was very nice as well. Apps to start were the burrata, the calamari, and an eggplant dish, plus the free bread and olive loaf they give to begin. Really enjoyed every one but the cheese burrata was a smoked something not sure what but not the usual cheese, still great just a heads up. The eggplant was ordered by our vegetarian and we all tried it was wonderful. Dishes were all pasta themed, not on purpose, the pesto gnocchi was the best imo. All good, that one was just a standout. My lasagna was fine nothing special, wife's pesto dish was unimpressive. My kids ordered better dishes. No drinks to review, we didn't like what was offered. Beer menu was very poor, but that's pretty standard for an Italian place so no point deduction.

    Vodka dry Martini... yum!

We had a wonderful afternoon shopping on Arthur Ave then had a lovely time at Enzo's. The reservation was honored on the same day- a Saturday and the table was wonderful for the 5 of us... attentive service and the food was DEE-LICIOUS! The portions are ample, the sauce is amazing (we bought Enzo's Vodka and Marinara sauces). The polenta was firm and grilled. And they sang Happy Birthday... great place to celebrate!

Came here for a late lunch (after 1:30/nearly 2pm) on a Sunday and didn't have to wait at all. But it was bustling so it's probably prime time earlier than that. Food here is really solid - nothing wrong with anything that we got. We really enjoyed the margherita pizza (tho it's not thin crust, but still very tasty crust), the eggplant parm + pasta, and the pesto. Their red sauce is really good as well. It has a bit if a suburban Italian restaurant feel to it. It's quite nice and homey and feels like there should be lots of regulars coming back

Period…read more If you want to know what real New York City pizza is supposed to taste like, stop looking and get to Louie & Ernie's on Crosby Ave. This isn't just a meal; it's a Bronx institution. The Vibe: Old School & Authentic This place is as "old school" as it gets. It's located in the basement of a house, and walking in feels like stepping back into 1959. There are no fancy decorations or "artisanal" gimmicks--just the smell of fresh dough and a gas oven that's probably seen more history than most museums. * Pro Tip: It is CASH ONLY. Don't be that person who gets to the counter with a card; come prepared. The Pizza: The Best in the Bronx I've had a lot of pizza, but this is easily the best in the borough. * The Crust: Paper-thin, perfectly salty, and has that signature "Bronx fold" with just the right amount of char on the bottom. * The Sausage: This is their claim to fame. They use huge, fresh chunks of sausage that are packed with flavor. It's heavy, it's greasy in the best way possible, and it's legendary. * The Sauce/Cheese: The ratio is perfection. The sauce is tangy and bright, and the mozzarella is creamy and never "rubbery." The Service The staff here are exactly what you want in a legendary neighborhood spot--friendly, fast, and no-nonsense. They keep the line moving, but they treat you like a regular even if it's your first time. Verdict: 10/10. It's simple, it's classic, and it's the king of the Bronx. If you haven't been, you're doing NYC wrong.

Pugsley's is not easy to find but definitely worth seeking out.
