I know the piece is not a normal piece of glass to get replacement and Frank assured me they can secure the parts by Monday. I was told it would be ready in two to three hours. I received the first call at 9:21AM updating me that it will be ready at 12 noon because they are backed up. I said fine and rescheduled meetings to meet the new timeframe. I received the second call at 10:42AM, updating me that it needs to be calibrated and will be completed at 5pm. I just rescheduled my whole day and now the time changed again. I was in the area and walked back to Safelite and asked why the time keeps changing, especially for a vehicle that they did the exact replacement a year ago so they should have all the requirements on file. I told them they need to update their system to keep this information, so their techs know what to do, ESPECIALLY for a vehicle that was repaired at this EXACT location before. It gets worse. 11:30AM, I am in a Lyft to home so I take my meetings and pick up my vehicle at 5pm as promised. 11:37AM, I receive a THIRD call, stating that my vehicle won't be repaired today until a specific specialist is onsite to ensure it will be done correctly. I JUST LEFT SAFELITE, 7 MINS AGO, AND NOW I HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER LYFT TO TAKE ME BACK TO PICK UP MY UNREPAIRED VEHICLE. I write this for education purposes and so that Safelite Bethesda can improve their Customer Service. Please get all the information you need before you reach out to your customers.
