Please be aware that this company is a real scam, please avoid this company they sent a technician to my house by the name of Jarren, after the job was supposedly done, he showed me that there was some mold in one of the vents I was supposed to pay for job$608.00 that was scheduled initially, and he mentioned that they will be an additional $800. to clean the vent and to remove the so-called mold then he called the office he reduced to $1100.00.the next after he left my air vent was running non-stop. I made several calls to let them know that I had problem with the air vent they never bother to called me back I was told that I was going to receive an invoice with details for everything they did I never received any email. I was busy in my office call and said no need to do it. He pesters. Just to say something which he will reject. I say ok "Do for $150 for both" . Thought he will reject but he agrees. After the work I am showed $300 .. I said I agreed for $150 for both not each.. In English Both means together not seperate. Also the time he took to clean is max 10mins I am now not even confident if the other work was done fine. My neighbor had used this company to have her air ducts cleaned. I wasn't sure how I felt about using them based on all the negative reviews but I'm glad I went ahead. Brian arrived early and was respectful about removing his shoes and cleaned each vent thoroughly. He explained any questions I had with knowledge and patience. He took before and after photos of every vent and return. I couldn't believe some of the stuff that came out of the vent including a beer can. On the phone I was told the cleaning cost $287 for a single unit plus tax and was charged for that. For additional services, you get a price on the spot and can decide to get it done or not. I answered a flyer in Valpac from ENVIROGREEN cleaning that offered a "summer special" to clean your air ducts for $9 per vent. Sounds like a good deal, I thought. I have 7 vents in my ranch-style house and one return. The 'technician' came, went to the attic to perform the work, then presented me with a bill for about $530! He showed me a picture of a dirty filter (it appeared circular) after he cleaned two sections of it and said they'd order the filter and when it comes in to call them to install. A few weeks later a filter comes in the mail, it's flat and rectangular about 16"x25". I finally called them back, eventually, 4 days later a 'technician' comes, goes up in the attic and installs the filter. That was it...all for $530! I priced a similar filter on Amazon and they go for about $60. So my 'good deal', $9x7=$63 + $60 came to $530! Avoid Envirogreen like the plague! read more

I used envirgreen cleaning for my duct work and dryer vent they were here on time. the gentleman arrived introduced himself and proceeded to bring his equipment in stated he was just going to go outside and take a little break. he then completed all work that I had requested. then they tried to sell me another $1500 in cleaning for my AC units which I declined I spent about $300 this was on this past Saturday I've had to call them twice they did not hook the dryer vent back up and there is now a noise coming from one of the returns a rattling noise. They have someone coming out tomorrow Thursday between two and six and I hope to have both issues resolved and then I will re-write this review. Don't Use this company. They start by saying 9 dollars a duct and before you know it they find all kinds of problems with the system. They don't clean the entire ducts as they claim. The put on a big show for big money. They claim to send you all kinds of video etc. and that is not what happened to me. The "Technician" claims he is going to clean your dryer duct and only takes the cap off the outside wall of the house and pulls out what he can easily reach. I needed a Saturday so I book 2 weeks in advance. they sent me a text to confirm that they would arrive between 8 and 9 am. On the day they were supposed to come, I waited until 9:30am and called to see where they were. The guy who answered the phone was so nasty and told me that they rescheduled my time. *TALK ABOUT A BAIT AND SWITCH OPERATION* It was that time again to have my air ducts cleaned so I decided to reach out to several different companies. Upon calling Envirogreen Restoration (located in Westchester County NY), I spoke to Kevin who informed me of same day availability. He asked how many vents I had in my house and I told him 15. He gave me a price of $160-$185. All was set and they were ready to come service. Kevin informed me the service tech would arrive between 12-3pm and then he called to let me know that they were caught up (understandable) and wont be here until approximately 4pm. The service tech Alfred arrives at 4:15pm goes throughout my home and then comes back and tells me that the price is $290.00. I asked why and was told that Kevin wasn't aware of the 2 units. First of all, I wasnt asked about any units (only vents). I said for argument sake go ahead with the work and so I signed off on this price even though I wasn't happy. Alfred (the tech) then comes downstairs to grab my attention and says he needs to show me something. He shows me the 2 units upstairs and tells me theres growth on one and black debris on the other. Alfred then states he has to get me new pricing. He goes outside for 5 minutes to call Kevin and he comes inside to inform me that THE NEW PRICING ALTOGETHER IS $1,300.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only was I given 3 different prices but I was told that Kevin was unaware of the 2 units which he didn't ask about to begin with. So what was the tech going to do to the 2 units for $100 extra? The cost was to clean and if it wasn't then that should have been made clear. This business is questionable at best. My parents are elderly and had their air ducts cleaned less than 6 months ago- the technician came in and sold my parents $1000 worth of unecessary services. When I called to get an explanation the company tried to pin it in on the company that was here a short while ago. I would encourage anyone to avoid this company at all cost- they do not care about providing you any expertise, if they did, they would have informed my parents that there was no need for the service at this time. In addition, the original quote was roughly $500 and the technician appears to have persuaded my elderly parents to spend an additional $500. We woke up the next morning with no heat. The house was 46 degrees with a young child in our home. It was no coincidence that upon completion of our duct cleaning our furnace was burning and we had no heat. They refused to take responsibility and the owner, Michael would not return any calls. The technician was extremely nice. He was polite and respectful. As for the rest of my experience, a nightmare. I received a coupon in the mail in Bergen County. I see this company is based out of NY. I called to schedule an appointment. I was specific in asking that there would be no commitment after the person came in for a "free estimate" as per the coupon. I was reassured that there would be no pressure to commit. On the date of the appointment, I received a higher estimate than expected. I politely declined service and asked if I could call back at another time to schedule now that I knew the price. The tech put me on the phone with Joe "the manger". He was rude, obnoxious and acted like he was doing me a favor. He said things like, "you should know how to count your vents". He told me he allocated hours for this. What happened to free estimate? Customer service was unbelievably lacking. He insisted I proceed or never call him back. He kept saying this service was discounted. Yea Joe, that's why you send coupons? For a discounted service? Had I been dealing with the tech, I would have likely gone through with the service . Beware of using Envirogreen for AC duct cleaning and would warn anyone considering using them. I paid nearly $300 to have my AC ducts cleaned and they were filthy after the cleaning. They spent more time trying to sell me unnecessary services for another $1,000. I declined the additional services and inspected the unit myself that evening. There was no mold and certainly not a need for a $1,000 cleaning. What I did discover was that return vents I did pay to have cleaned were filthy and covered in a thick layer of dust. read more

One should carefully evaluate using this organization: 1. Tools and technology: The people showed up with a drill and a huge vacuum with a hose attached. They would insert the drill an arms length plus the length of the plastic drill bit and can only clean perhaps 7 - 8 feet. If your vent is longer - it does not get cleaned or they may attached an extension. While there the extension broke and they told me I had not dust or debris in the vents so not to worry about it. The vents were not necessarily cleaned. 2. Additional Services: Be aware they run ads in different print mediums - with different prices. The net net is that what appears to be a low cost can become very expensive in a very short period of time.......also you may have 3 'vents' a few feet apart and using the same duct work - you should negotiate with them so as not to get charged triple for the same duct work. 3. Upselling: They removed the cover of the air circulator and attempted to sell me a service to brush the rotors with something akin to a toothbrush for 20 mins and wanted to charge me $250.00. They said I had mold on the METAL blades...didn't make sense. 4. Care and cleanliness: I indicated the need to keep things neat, they still left hand prints on the walls where they removed vents. I had to clean up after them. You might consider working with a company that has different equipment and cares about cleanliness. There are also youtube videos that provide informative information about how best to clean vents and get the job done to capture all debris in the system. read more
