Well done! Returned…read morefrom a brief vacation only to find our central HVAC system essentially non-functional/hanging on by a thread. Since our HVAC company of nearly 20 years no longer does residential work, was left with the task of expediently engaging a new provider--something often easier said than done in this post-Covid business climate with lots of remote interactions, long wait times and equipment bottlenecks. Astacio/Sila proved more than up to the task: 1. Offered to show up for an initial diagnostic check within 24 hours 2. Managed to come to terms with me on two new heat pumps, one attic air handler/back up electric heat and one propane furnace with one conveniently scheduled, same day appointment as the service call 3. Came back for the install on the next business day (sales appt was Fri; install commenced Mon) 4. Got the job done in 2 days instead of the promised 2 1/2 5. Let the premises clean, with all new systems running well Net, net: Least expensive? Probably not. Most professional/knowledgeable/timely/accommodating HVAC company I've dealt with both personally and in a business capacity? Absolutely! Look forward to using them for our ongoing service/equipment needs.

It does not verify the information after you give it. The tech had to call us to ask us where the house was, and then we had to tell the tech to correct the email address. The tech suggested a number of things to do, all bundled with a video inspection first. I opted for just the video inspection so we could determine the issue. I informed the tech that there might be mastic in the line. He did the video inspection and informed me that the camera hit some solid at 23' and that the next step was to dig up the pipe. Which is a large, expensive project. He told us that he would send the video and proposals. Almost 1 week later we have yet to receive anything. We called back on Tuesday and repeated the corrected information and were promised we would get the copy of the video and the proposals. I called again today and was told it would be escalated for attention. I did some work on this. I used my little 25' snake and paid out all of it, past the 23' mark the tech said was the point where it was blocked. I then rented an industrial snake and a penetrating head for it from Home Depot. After paying out more than 50' of its 100' snake it hit a blockage, then penetrated it and the system drained immediately. So far the only nice thing I can say is that the technician was nice. But that's about it. They are very expensive, non responsive to issues, and missed the mark completely on what was wrong and how to fix it. I will not be doing business with them again.

When I called them, their rude representative claimed their GPS said he was at my house for one hour and 27 minutes. Then she hung up on me. I then check my Ring doorbell camera and got the video evidence. I wrote the company and then got a call from a "manager" who claimed their rep didn't argue with me and they were fixing it. Watch out for these crooks. If they're willing to scam me on my first small bill, imagine what they'd do to you if you did a big project with them. CROOKS. Update: Subsequent to the original post, Jeffrey F from Arctic Mechanical wrote a reply to my post, inaccurately characterizing the events, but more importantly, listing my name and home address in his reply.
