Ray quickly responded and not only offered a better price; but seemed to be very knowledgeable about our system. He came to our house and was able to get the old unit working temporarily at no charge and further impressed us with his knowledge. I felt we could trust him and ordered a new boiler from him and also a new gas hot water heater as it was near the end of its life. We put a deposit on the parts and when they arrived he and an assistant installed them. Their assembly work was excellent, he skillfully adjusted the new units and all is now working better than ever. We will use him going forward and highly reccomend him. TR

I told her to call M&M for a second opinion. she told them what the other company said, yet Nick looked at her system and replaced a $150 part. that was 4 years ago and it's still running great! M&M just recently replaced my entire AC system, it was dead and over 30 years old, with an amazing system. I never knew my place could be so comfortable in the summer. Now each customer is own their own to schedule and must be home when the service person comes. I made an appointment for a preseason tuneup, which was scheduled six weeks out in November, and missed the service person window, fined over $100 for not being home (later retracted), and rescheduled for February, three months late, despite purchasing an expensive service contract, which includes the tune-up costs. Kaufman offers incentives to new customers, but treats theri long term customers with distain. After I wrote the review above, I received a note and call from Kaufman, which resolved my problem within a few days, including am apology, so I accept their apology and change my rating.

I called Almonte Heating and Cooling after SCG turned off my gas because of existing gas leaks…read more SCG could not determine where the leak was and said to call a plumber. Christian and Jonathan from Almonte called back and came out within a couple hours to complete an air test. It was determined there was a leak in the main line and in the lines going to the dryer, hot water heater, and stove. He sent me a proposal within an hour after leaving my house, on late Friday afternoon, on what the price would be to replace the existing pipes that were leaking. He was even so kind as to switch his schedule on Saturday to come to my house because there was no hot water. They came Saturday morning and were done within 4 hours. I was able to call and have SCG come back and turn on my gas on Saturday. I cannot begin to tell everyone what started as a nightmare turned out to be a Blessing because I found a great plumber!

No accountability for their mistakes…read more They arrived and their truck accidentally ripped all the cable and phone wires off my house, tore the mounting bracket clean out of the shingles, I had wires hanging from the pole on the street to the lawn still partially attached to the house, but hanging low across the driveway for days. Celco just left and said good luck. I had no Internet for a few days, spent hours on the phone with both frontier and optimum to come clear the wires off my property and free up my driveway. The tech who did it was very apologetic and I tried to be cool about it, mistakes happen, but when I tried to get the company to take some ownership of this, they showed their true colors. After two heated phone calls and them denying any need to address this at all, they grudgingly offered me $75 for the time and damage. This was just a fraction of what they charged me and not at all proportional to the damage and effort required to remedy their mistake, which they admitted to.
