Every time I come here, there is an issue, but for some reason I keep coming back, giving them the benefit of the doubt. This weekend I am turning 50 and going on a whale watching road trip to Orcas Island. I reserved my car ahead of time, then solidified all my other arrangements - round trip ferry reservation, ferry tickets, hotel room, whale watching tickets, etc. My reservation to pick up my car was for 8 AM, they called me the day before to confirm and asked me to come in at 10 AM instead since they had so many people picking up at 8 AM. I jokingly said that's fine. As long as there is actually a car there and the gentleman laughed and said yes we definitely have a car for you and I explained that I have had many issues with them in the past every time I rented and that this trip was very important, so I wanted to make sure there would be a car there. The freeway was closed and traffic was really backed up so I called them and let them know I was going to be closer to 1015 and they let me know that they were still looking for a car for me. When I got there, the lobby was full of angry people, waiting for cars, all who also had 8 AM reservations. The two people working were "very very sorry" and repeatedly explained that it was the system, there was nothing they could do, it wasn't their fault, etc. etc., the system just overbooked. They pretended that they were calling all over the place trying to find other cars, but all they were doing was standing there, making excuses and shrugging their shoulders and telling us not to be upset with them because it wasn't their fault, while telling new people arriving that it may be a "little wait" but they will definitely get them going in a car. The whole time they were also calling people who were continuing to be able to make reservations online to pick up cars today, so they had to keep calling those people and cancelling those reservations. As cars started being returned, they kept giving them out to other people instead of me. And when I questioned them about it, they said they were giving them out in the order that people got there, even though he specifically told me to come in at 10 o'clock, which he was completely unapologetic about, so they put me at the back of the line. The manager, Mike, was extremely rude, sarcastic, and condescending. I did not raise my voice, I did not swear, I did not say anything, rude, offensive, or demeaning In any way. I simply asked logical questions just like everybody else, and got a huge attitude for it in return. They offered absolutely nothing other than you can just sit here and wait indefinitely and be patient and be quiet or you can leave. If we miss this ferry, I will be out almost $1000, wasted my three days taken off of work, and ruined my 50th birthday. and they couldn't CARE LESS!!!! read more

Just like the commercial... Enterprise picked me up (from Toyota of Lake City). My service advisor provided a rental car while my car was in the shop for all of Black Friday (11/24/17). From the person who picked me up and the two service counter folks this AM...very friendly, professional service. Kudos to folks who can be so upbeat the morning after a major holiday. Received a Chevrolet Malibu with Oregon plates for the business day (around 830 am). But note: vehicle had only 1/4 tank of gas to start, relatively clean except for the ton of pine needles along the trunk groove, $100 hold on my credit card, and I authorized $20 deduction from the hold for an 'oops' coverage. I learned that lesson after two incidents with rentals from other companies. $20 is cheap versus the cost of random, minor damage or a full totalled vehicle during the rental period. I returned the car directly to my service advisor at Toyota of Lake City shortly before 5pm. Nice wheels, another nice way to evaluate new features in newer makes/models. Just a reminder how much I prefer Enterprise over Hertz, Budget, or Avis. read more

This is the only location I will go to. Had to deal with the mill creek location this time and they are horrible. I showed up on Saturday at the lake city location for my rental and my car was not there. Mill creek location was to bring my car down before my reservation and they never did that. The person that was working offered to drive me up there because it would be faster than waiting for them. Since he was the only one working I said I could drive up there. The lake city location employees are always super helpful and nice. Also they don't lie to you like the mill creek location does. read more

Why five stars? Because Connor was a SUPERSTAR. He was kind, calm, and proactive, and went above and beyond, including making calls to a couple other locations (and did ultimately find me a car). Very friendly staff at this location. Pick up was extremely fast and the car return was expedient as well considering how busy they were at the time. They had contacted me ahead of time to confirm my reservation details and the car I rented was in great shape and drove well. Leo was particularly helpful during pick up as he explained all of the features on the car and helped me pick a vehicle that best suited my needs. Later on the return I saw him washing a car so it looks like the staff at this location do everything! read more

I'm not surprised that this particular location received lower marks than the other branches. It appears that there are some poor business habits at this Lake City location. I made a reservation with their centralized reservation center because no one at the branch picked up the phone. The reservation was made Friday for a Monday pick-up. I called at 8:30am to be picked up for my 9am reservation. The manager said that they can't pick me up because I live outside of their pick-up zone, but that I should called the Bothell office to make arrangements. Hmmm, I made the reservation, now you want me to call another branch to set up a pick-up in the opposite direction I'm heading? I don't think so. Where is the proactiveness Mr. Manager? If you knew that my location wasn't in your pick-up zone, then why didn't YOU call the Bothell location & YOU proactively tell me that you took of my reservation so I wouldn't be inconvenienced. I was so irritated because this is the 2nd terrible experience I received from Enterprise. I made my reservation with Hertz instead. They picked me up in 15 min & the earned the income. I told Mr. Manager at the Lake City Branch that I would like to provide valuable feedback to their Area manager. Haven't received a call yet. Maybe they're checking yelp. They should! I came in on a Friday because I was told the Lake City office rented Cooper Mini's. I was interested in driving one while my "other" English car was in the shop for a scheduled service. I understand completely when a specific car isn't ready ad hoc, however, my interest was the following week. The Assistant Manager, Alicia Norstadt, told me that she would call on Saturday with availability. (gave me her card) Of course there was no call. I called early Monday and indicated I'd be in at 4pm that afternoon. I arrived at the prescribed time. No Mini... I was told, only after filling out the paper work, that the car was about 30 minutes away. I went to Starbucks for 45 minutes. Came back and guess what... No Mini... After an hour, with no coordination with me at that point, I was told I could have the Impala on the lot and they'd deliver the car later that night and change out with the Impala. Well I suppose I could have accepted that, but frankly, on 4 occasions they chose not to communicate the situation with me, so I wasn't in the mood. My entire purpose was to DRIVE A MINI!!! I put one star so you don't think I forgot to rate. It's really zero... Never again will I rent from Enterprise. p.s. I tried to feed back to the home office, but fancy that! Their website didn't process my e-mail through their automated system. More wasted time along with the approximately 3 hours already. read more

I recently saw a commercial for Enterprise Rent-A-Car where they stated ... "We'll pick you up." and then it got me thinking ... No they don't! Last week my car was in the dealership due to a break-in in a common garage (whole 'nother story). My insurance told me to go to Enterprise for my rental while my car was being fixed. Called Enterprise days prior my appointment to 1) reserve a time and have them pick me up at the dealership 2) have an SUV or mini-SUV so that it's similar to the type of vehicle I have (plus it's necessary to have for work). Called them again the day-of to verify that someone was going to pick me up. Well, after waiting for Enterprise in the freezing cold and rain for over an hour at the dealership, I decided to call my friend. Thank God she was home. Got picked up by my friend and headed to the car rental. Once there, there were no apologies - nothing. Fine - I just wanted a car at that point. Oh ... but they didn't have my car ready. In fact, Enterprise had to drive me to a different Enterprise location to pick up the car. Wouldn't you think that they'd have one of their drivers bring it to the location the customer reserved it for? AND, to top it off, they didn't have the mini-SUV or SUV that they said they'd have. The car received was dirty. A quick vacuum would have made it a world a difference but that was asking for too much. Oh, and did I mention that when one of the associates was checking out the condition of the car there was a knife in the middle console area? Yup! He tried hiding it in his hand by holding it blade-side and chatting. Go else where for car rentals. I've dealt with Enterprise prior before since this is where my insurance tells me to go and it's always been consistently disappointing. My family and I have been renting from Enterprise for several years. Overall we have had great experiences renting vehicles and eternally grateful until we visited this location. My wife and I waited for 30mins just for someone to help us. When we were greeted by the employee "Chris," he immediately looked us up and down and sized us up. I was taken back by this initial interaction but didn't let this get to me. I remained calm as he proceeded to inform me that my original reservation was not at the location and the possible upgrade was going to be over $200 more than my original reservation. Not only that, he proceeded to tell me that his original quote was another $50 over because I estimated my return time to be 3hrs later and it was cost me another day. I asked him to work with me bc I felt all of his quotes were excessive and proceeded to show him the online prices to back me up. He threw my paper aside and said there is nothing else he can do. We immediately left and rented a vehicle from a nearby Enterprise location in Lynnwood. That transaction was smooth and effortless like it has been in years past. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS!! Other Enterprise locations my be $10-$30 more but it is worth it to avoid the price gauging and headache these guys serve up. read more

Afterward, Enterprise bungled communication with the shop and wanted to charge me directly. When I called Enterprise and asked them to sort it out with the shop, they told me they were going to send me to collections and affect my credit. read more

OK, I will say on the plus side, the Lake City location does have cheaper prices than the other Enterprise locations in town. And I was able to reserve a car online and pick it up when I reserved it for and everything, so that's fine. And I found the first experience of renting from them very pleasant. But the second time I tried to reserve a car there, I called in to see if they had any kind of specials, and they said they were out of cars. I noted the website said they still had cars, and they said "Yeah but if you reserve a car through the website and show up, there won't be any cars." Um, say what? If I reserve a car on the website and there are no cars, that would be an issue. Also the guys who work here all look like they escaped from the same fraternity within the last 18 months. First, the car is does NOT compare to my vehicle...but that's what the insurance and Enterprise said. Horn did not work, smelled like cigarettes, had no bluetooth, like I asked to have. The car was in horrible condition, was not even cleaned! Trash and not vacuumed. Will never get a car from them again. read more

Pick up was good and on time in the car I was renting. OK experience, but not good. Lady misread gas tank at 7/8 when it was really 5/8. Since I couldn't read it over her shoulder I didn't notice until I drove off the lot. Had to turn around and go back to get it corrected. Couldn't use the bathroom because an employee was locked up in it for at least 15 minutes. Only one bathroom for customers, employees? Car was nice and clean. A Volkswagen Passat. Solid customer service. Chibare (sp?), the branch manager, was really friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Great management really makes a difference in the customer experience, and he understands that. I ran over to Starbucks to grab a coffee while my rental was readied - he comp'd my drink for free and was super friendly throughout my experience. The assistant manager, Rich, is also a good dude and the entire experience was overall, fun. My Mini Cooper was in the shop for a repair, and there were no loaner Mini's available, so they sent me across the street to pick up a ride from Enterprise. The only vehicle available was a truck, but it was alright - I've been smashing speed bumps like a madman in my Ram 1500. Somebody had mentioned earlier - yeah, they were out of cars to rent. Which might not make sense for a rental car service. However - overwhelmingly awesome customer service is something we really need to support, and this branch has it on lock down. A+. read more

I'm really sad to see all the negative reviews, because...I've not only rented once, but TWICE from this location. The first time was last year for a little road trip and I dealt with Niko (who was also there the second time around! I like it when there are employees I recognize); I had voucher for an upgrade which went smoothly, and all went well. The second time-the manager Ryan helped me-and he was very polite and professional. Looked up my card # and was very friendly. I just got a regular ol econ model-but it was this cute little boxy car. Everything went smooth again-although I might add, that I've noticed not only with Enterprise, but with all car rental agencies-make sure you come at the time you say you are, or call if you'll be early or late. It seems that this place has an issue with running out of cars, which seems strange to me for a rental car service. Anyway, the people that work there are friendly enough and worked hard to get me what I needed....after a 30 min. wait (which I was kinda okay with, but not really). Again, you rent cars...you should have them available. However, they were good at working with me on an after hour drop-off and working with my insurance company...at least to this point, still waiting for that cash back into my account for the tax on my insurance plan. In summary: if you can check ahead and make sure you have a vehicle waiting for you, all should be well....if not, you run the risk of waiting or being shipped all over Seattle to find a ride. read more

What can I say?? These guys really saved my day. I needed a last minute rental after my truck broke down (again). They had me in and out and on my way in no time. Jennifer was really nice and really went out of her way to help out. This is the 2nd time they have really really impressed me. Last time my truck was in for repairs, I wound up needing to keep the rental for more than two weeks. Without me even asking, they reduced my rate from daily to weekly and saved me SO much money. tl;dr: make sure you exam every detail before driving the car out of the lot. ------ Found a good deal through Priceline and actually got upgraded from a compact car to a small SUV for $5 extra/day. Unfortunately the car (2016 Jeep Compass) didn't equip with anything that's on par with modern technology. No bluetooth, rare view camera, aux etc but can't complain for the price. The pick up and drop off process took no more than 10min total. The associate (Scott?) was easy to work with and didn't try to hard sell me their insurance. But definitely check everything before you drive off. The gas tank was only half full when I picked it up. Had I not asked, I would've totally filled it all the way for return. read more

Since I don't own a car, I have often enjoyed the perks of the weekend special offered by Enterprise. Having just moved, this was my first occasion to rent from the Lake City location. Not a fan, and here's why: - I found the staff to be much less personable than at the other two locations I have frequented (Lynnwood and Capitol Hill). - Gas indicator was at a 1/4-tank when I rented the car, meaning my first stop was a gas station before I could begin my planned travel. - Car seats were FILTHY. Very heavily soiled. It didn't appear that any effort at all had been made to even spot clean the seats. It was quite embarrassing when my travel companion was about to get in the car. - Car's lighter didn't work, so I was unable to use my travel charger. Phone battery died mid-trip, causing a slight panic as I was depending on the GPS to get me where I needed to go. NOTE: The pick-up and drop-off were perfectly timed and much appreciated, especially after I decided at the last minute to keep the car an extra day! I'm keeping an open mind, and hoping that the experience I had was a fluke. I'll find out next week when I rent from this location once more. read more

I was waiting for a call from them for the survey but it never came. Too bad because it was going to be a 1/5 rating anyway. They probably won't even see this but I will leave it here anyway. Let's start with the worst things they did to the not quite as bad but still not ok things. The lies. I called and asked about a pick up and was told the shuttle would not be running that morning. I asked when it would run because I wasn't in a huge rush. The guy tells me they are super understaffed today so there will be no pick ups available all day. Fine, I'll walk 1.5 miles there, that's...ok I suppose. But when I get there, what's the first thing I hear? The guy telling another employee the shuttle is out right now picking up 3 people and will be back soon. WHAT?!?! I walked ~30 minutes to get there because the guy decided to lie to me? That might possibly be the worst customer service I have had in my life. A straight lie to my face. Very unacceptable. Next problem? $100 deposit which is fine, I understand. But my bill is $152 which, if I remember basic math, means the cost should be $52 but somehow, I was charged $80. While researching the company, I read on their website that all cars come with a minimum of 1/2 a tank of gas, but when I get the car? 3/8ths full. I agreed with the assessment on the paper, but this location seems to think they are above the company rules. Smaller problems I had was I could not connect to Bluetooth because it was full of prior customers phones and seemed to have been locked so no one else can add their own phones to it. Also, the back seats had dirt on them. Not a big problem, but it shows that employees here aren't very through at their jobs and don't really clean the insides of the cars after each use. My wife and I dropped by Enterprise courtesy of insurance after a car accident. Seemed kind of disorganized, although friendly. Received a car that was still nasty after a hasty cleaning. I usually rent from Enterprise in Portland and have received good service, so I was more than disappointed with the service at Enterprise of Lake City. At Christmastime in Portland last year, I rented an intermediate car, but all they had was a big fancy truck. I realize it was the holiday so I took it, and they charged me the intermediate price- it was $86 for four days. Including taxes. At Christmastime this year at Lake City in Seattle, I reserved a full size car, but was given a mid size car and charged the full size price, $395 for six days, including insurance. Not being familiar with cars I didn't realize it was so small until we tried to have our guests get into the back seat- then I discovered it was actually a midsize car according to what they listed online. They refused to charge me the appropriate rate when I returned the car, and couldn't explain the discrepancy between the charges in Portland and their outlet. I will go back to Portland, but I won't to Seattle. Just checked my credit card statement. Even though we were charged $395 a week which is way more than their online quote, & even though the gas tank was fuller when we brought it back than when we picked it up, they ran an additional charge of $32 for who knows what? read more

I got a Toyota Corolla; it was an ok car; as always the seats were uncomfortable for long driving (too soft, no lumbar support) but the car drove fine. Severely understaffed on weekends. It took me an hour from walking in the door to getting my car. I was the only person in the place. The poor guy had to answer 20 phone calls and in between clean cars and get them ready. When I inspected the vehicle there was a little bit less gas in the tank then what was reported. I went back in to let him know since they charge north of 5 dollars a gallon and the representative rolled his eyes and threw his hands in the air. I get it, he is frustrated, but not really how I wanted to be treated. When I returned the car the manager was there, and he was receptive to feedback. So at least there is that... I got a great deal on the rental car so would probably visit again, but overall not a very positive experience. read more

Had a bad experience at first, problem with prior payment arrangements though an online company and getting double charged for insurance by online and enterprise. Lol was already having a bad morning. Enterprise didnt budge on their kindness and politeness and we're extremely patient and willing to work with me. Ryan and the team at Enterprise saved us! We had a reservation at SeaTac with a different company. When we showed up at 11 at night, the staff had bailed leaving only cheesy hand written 'we're out of cars' signs. No text or call to let us know. No one on staff to apologize. Shoddy! We grabbed a lift to town and made a reservation with Enterprise. They also ran out of cars (holiday thing I guess) BUT scrambled to get us and a bunch of other stranded travelers into cars. They even drove my husband to another location to pick up our car. I also overheard them actually making phone calls to people they couldn't help and offering them other solutions. Brilliant! The whole office remained calm, professional and friendly to all of us customers despite the pressure situation. We had a great trip in a great car and Enterprise is now our first and only rental choice. read more
