Overchrarging issues are endemic with the greenwood and Georgetown rental locations. If you can't get a reservation at the downtown branch avoid these two like the plague. Georgetown has a serious problem with not honoring reservations and greenwood will tell you one thing but charge you an additional day after assuring you that this is not the case. Had to go through my first insurance claim and Enterprise made the process so seamless! It is nice that Enterprise worked with the auto shop (Caliber Collison) to make the process so easy and stressfree. When I called to set up my rental, they already expected me and knew where I was getting my car service. They were able to get me picked up from the auto shop and taken to Enterprise, which was nice I didn't have to deal with reinbursing an Uber through the insurance. And when you pick up your car at the end, you can leave the rental with the autoshop and don't have to deal with returning it! So nice! It is nice that they all work together and make the process so easy! All the people that were working at Enterprise were so kind and welcoming. Car was nice and clean, but did have a slight cigarette smell in it, I knew I wouldn't have the car for long so I didn't bother to exchange it out but definitely smell the car before you drive off if you will have the car for long read more

We had car thing happen and needed a rental car. Our insurance works with Enterprise so we opted to use them. We didn't have rental car coverage but they did give us a great rate and excellent service. I was especially impressed with Tannis, who picked me up from the auto body shop. We had a reservation for our trip made. Unfortunately my husband booked a day early and they gave the car away. When we came in, the person we talked to said that he would still have a car ready for us, but will need an hour or 2 before it is ready. He said he would call us and pick us up if we stayed in the vicinity. We said ok and decided to brave the cold weather and find something open. 2 hours later, we heard nothing. 8 hours later nothing. Today...still nothing. No call, no update no nothing. I get that the reservation was made a day earlier, but why promise us a rental then? Being that we were visiting and it was the day after Christmas, we were not happy that we were stuck in the middle of a new city not knowing anyone or anywhere to go. If the person was up front about the rentals we would not have waited around. We decided to find our way back to another rental car company that was able to help us. Please remember to call your customers back if you say you will. You can't say one thing and not follow through. My car was stolen when I was in Portland, OR recently so I had to rent a car from Enterprise. I stopped by the Seattle branch on 85th to ask a few questions and was helped by Blaine Relatado. Blaine was very helpful but most importantly he was kind and compassionate that in my opinion is SO important when dealing with the public. My family and I have always had great experiences with Enterprise. We rent from them almost exclusively while vacationing (most recently a 2-week minivan rental in New England during August of last year). Every year, we rent from Enterprise for 2 weeks in the summer, 10 days in April (spring break), and long weekends in AZ or elsewhere. My experience with the 85th Greenwood location had been fine until this week. 5 months back my car was hit by a lady and her Farmer's insurance was covering my rental car cost. Per the Rental Agreement with Enterprise, I was named as the Renter and Farmers Insurance was the Bill To Account. My car took over 3 months to repair due to COVID supply chain issues with spare parts. I was able to finally pick it up and the rental car was returned last November. During the time I had the rental car, three events occurred demonstrating poor service: 1) Enterprise Rental Car had Expired License Tabs: The tabs expired at the end of August and I received a violation while parked in downtown Seattle. I am extremely busy, my wife and I both work, and we have 3 children including a 3-year old. I called the 85th Enterprise branch requesting they send new tabs in the mail. They told me I had to come to the branch to place in on the plates. Nobody offered to come to my residence and add the tab to the plates, thus I had to drive up there to have it done during a busy workday. 2) Enterprise Rental Car had Bald Tires: The KIA Sorrento SUV rental car had bald tires. On dry pavement, the car repeatedly skidded out and much to my kids amusement "burned rubber". During the rainy season, it was a hazard and not safe to drive. My wife refused to drive it. Again, I called the 85th Enterprise branch and informed them the tires were shot. They told me I could come and swap it out in a couple of days when there was more inventory. Again, we are working parents with 3 kids - nobody offered to come and deliver a substitute car to my residence. 3) Enterprise made a $1,365 Fraudulent Charge to my Credit Card. While my car was being repaired, I had an open reservation with Enterprise - i.e. a reservation until my car repairs were completed and then the rental car would be due to return. I was told this repeatedly by the agents at the 85th branch, including the manager Olivia. Since it was Farmer's responsibility to pay, I was assured my credit card on file would not be charged. Therefore, when the most recent extended reservation had expired on October 22nd, I was told by Enterprise not to worry and the adjuster would just need to call in and extend the contract. This had happened in September as well - after I called the Farmers adjuster, the adjuster called Enterprise and took care of it. The Farmers adjusters, like most adjusters, have been poor communicators and I know Enterprise had reached out to get a status on their bill and my car repair as recently as this as November 11 (just before my car was ready and the rental was returned.) However, the Enterprise manager Olivia called and left a voice message last week Tuesday, February 22 (3 months after the car had been returned) that my credit card would be charged $1,365 and I would need to seek reimbursement from Farmers Insurance because the outstanding balance owed by Farmer's had not been paid. Farmers is still awaiting information from the auto shop to approve the claim. Rather than requesting and waiting for this information. I called Olivia back and she shared that all this had been escalated to managers at Farmers and Enterprise but they were still unable to get Farmers to pay the outstanding balance. This was a lie. It became very clear when I contacted Farmers Insurance and spoke with the adjuster that they were merely still waiting for information from the repair shop to approve the claim and pay the balance. This was all news to me. I had no idea that in the last 3 months there was still an outstanding balance that Enterprise was going to charge me for. On Wednesday, February 23, Olivia and Enterprise proceeded with the $1,365 fraudulent charge to my credit card that is owed by Farmers Insurance. I've been extremely frustrated with this entire experience. I ALWAYS go out of my way to only write 5- Star reviews on Yelp & Google when I like the establishment and have a good experience. Otherwise, I don't bother with a review at all. This is my first 1-Star, poor rating review, and a perusal of my review history will confirm this. I will be glad to remove this review once my credit card charge is reversed. read more

I am starting to see a pattern here that makes me think that this place is a scam or just has the worst customer service imaginable. I'm dealing with the exact same situation as CH Y's review below. My wife rented a car from this branch today. She did a walk around for damage and didn't notice anything, the person who was doing the walk around told her to look at the the bottom of the car for any dents or scratches. She saw none. She drove to 1 location (all on local roads), parked in a garage, and then drove back to this enterprise to drop off the car. After she drops off the car, the Branch Manager says that there is a crack in the windshield. This chip was 1/4 the size of a dime. My wife never even noticed the chip while leaving OR bringing the car back. From the other reviews this might sound familiar - Branch Manager said that he'd have to open a claim against it and likely have to replace the entire windshield!!!!!!!!!!!! Like it was mentioned in the other review, any reasonable human would get this chip replaced, but not this Branch Manager. He was also extremely short in his responses and rude. My wife is kicking herself for not inspecting the car better, but something about this branch is wrong. We rent cars a few times a year (usually from Enterprise) but nothing like this has ever happened and we're done with this company. UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO - SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND GO TO ANY OTHER LOCATION NEARBY!!!!!!!! IT MAY WORK OUT OR YOU MAY GET SCAMMED!! Tyler Brook is a nice guy and is personable, but I'm here for a car. The car I got, a chevy sonic, is a lemon I think. Arriving at work I noticed the check engine light on, I had a service call and was nervous driving it. I called them shortly after 8, I was asked if it was running alright, it was but there was a ticking from the engine. Next day had a warning pop up "stabilitrak needs service" or something along those lines. I was told I could keep driving it or return for a hyundai that was in worse shape. This is my first time renting a car, surely not what I was expecting! Update, rained last night now the windows all fog up, A/C is very weak so it takes a while before you can see out. Driving home this afternoon car smelled like a wet dirty dog, engine light on again, unbelievable! I can't recommend renting a car or anything at all from enterprise, the lack of a quality product should say a lot. read more

I had initially called to make a reservation for a 4wd vehicle. After confirming over the phone I arrive only to find that if I want a 4wd vehicle then I will have to pay more than I was told over the phone. Since I was in a rush, I begrudgingly agree to pay more and get in the car to leave to once again be disappointed by the fact that the car smells like an ashtray. After being a loyal customer of Enterprise for 20 plus years of renting vehicles from them I write this review for the Flat out disrespectful and Incompetent Staff at the Greenwood Location. I have been renting from this location since they have been in Greenwood and the current Manger Bryan and his staff has failed to provide us with quality customer service or quality vehicles since the former manager Richard left. Even with the understanding that Enterprise sold most of there fleet during Covid-19 a couple years ago, as they reopened back up for business I expected to pay for a quality, dependable vehicle that I can trust will not breakdown on me in the middle of no where. Not only does this location never have enough vehicles to rent they don't even try to accommodate you for the vehicle you requested. Instead they want to downgrade you to a vehicle that doesn't even meet the customers needs at the time! Having a large family they does a lot outside activities we usually rent larger SUVs but they never hardly have them available and no one at this location has ever offered to look at a different location to fulfill the rental request, they just tell you sorry we don't have that vehicle and offer you whatever they have left from their already limited Stock! And as a loyal customer that rents vehicles from Enterprise very frequently I was even more appalled to see that the Manager Bryan did not know his fleet of vehicles had major maintenance issues i.e. Inoperable seatbelts, power steering, raw tires etc. things they can be Detrimental to the safety of drivers on the road! And too top it off they insulted my wife whose also a Enterprise account member. Bryan the manager seem very comfortable Telling two African Americans that if we were not happy with the service maybe we should end our relationship with them! Really!!!!!! That's great customer service No Accountability! My wife and I are both U.S. veterans who has served our country Honorable and has deployed to combat for Multiple tours to Afghanistan and Iraq. It baffles me when ignorant people chose to use race as a weapon instead of seeing me as a valued paying customer like everyone else that is patronizing your business. Please be careful when renting from this company (and location). My family learned the hard way that this company will gladly milk as much money from you when not careful. At first, we were happy that they (Ballard location) rushed getting a Dodge Caravan ready for us to rent. Adriana did a walkthrough with us. Scratches and dents were pointed out; however, we were advised that these were no problem as they were "not larger than a golf ball." We returned the car to the Bellingham location the following day. Britney (management assistant) quickly pointed out one of these dents proceeded to charge $300 USD to our card within the same day. We called back to re-rent the car or at least ask to hold off on fixing so that a proper assessment can be done and involve our insurance. Britney advised us that they had already sent the car out for fixing and that "Damage Recovery" may charge us further. We proceed to call the Ballard location hoping they would be more helpful. When we asked for the area manager, Cory said that their area manager (Kassy) was "new and didn't have a number to provide yet". The "Damage Recovery" department proceeds to also say that the car is still "under investigation" (despite being a week after the return and fix) and that it might take 2-to-4 weeks for them to determine if more charges are required. I will admit that we should have been more careful and videotaped/documented the initial walkthrough. At this point, we are at this company's mercy for any damages they can simply attribute to us and charge to our credit card without certainty of a fair assessment. Take precautions when renting from this company or look for more reliable alternatives. Will not be coming back. read more

These guys were awesome. I was trying to be cheap and instead of getting a car downtown as I usually do, I went for some crazy Priceline deal in Greenwood. I was 2.5 hours late though (two days before Christmas) so my economy car was gone. They offered me half off a BMW so I took that instead. I ended up paying about what I would have paid downtown but I got a way cooler car which was like a Christmas treat! All the staff were super nice and friendly and they seemed to be enjoying spending time with each other but not slacking off. They were all really well dressed too..!? We literally come to rent a car every other 2 weeks, average twice a month. Branch staff recognize us. there was a female staff called , Alex. She was extremely friendly and nice. Unfortunately there was ONE instinct , that left us a bad experience with Enterprise Ballard Branch. on the 20th Aug 2016 , On the Night 19th Aug before we already reserved the car to ready for pick up at 10:30 am . When we show up on the 20th Saturday 11:00 ish to pick up the car , there was a male asian Staff called "SAM". told us the car wasnt ready , needed 15mins to clean car. We had appt. at 11:30. When we asked , we did reservation for 10:30am pick up , why it is not ready ? this was his answer : Well, we were very busy in the morning. And you guys were even here yet. so.... WHAT! ! I though making reservation in advance means that "item" or "car" should be ready on the time and ready to pick up , otherwise what was the point to make advance reservation ?! We would have accept the delay apologize , but when you made the errors by delaying our time , and throwing ball at us by accusing us to be late ? .. When we made reservation , we had put down our credit card info to reserve the cars. then he said , he was going to discount us for $20.00 from bill. AND guess what ! That DID NOT happen either ! It was ashamed that it turn out the result.. But it Was not a Good Saturday to start our weekend , not mention we were late for our 11:30 appt. read more

My insurance company (key word) set me up with a rental from Enterprise while my car was in the shop. I checked in and Enterprise reiterated that my rental was set up through my insurance company. When I was going through the initial check list, the man helping me starting talking about insurance options and I asked him "Since I have my own insurance (AND MY INSURANCE IS PAYING FOR THE RENTAL) do I need to pay for additional insurance?" Simple question. His simple answer was "Yes." And said it was $12/day. I figured that since my insurance was paying for my rental (my car was in the shop) this would be covered under them. Now any normal, clear headed individual, would think that if you already have insurance, your insurance is paying for your rental car, and you asked if you had to purchase additional insurance, that this insurance was mandatory. Not only that, but you wouldn't think it would be your responsibility to pay that additional insurance. So after having a rental car for a month, what a pleasant 700 EFFING DOLLAR SURPRISE! Turns out, the person "helping" me, blatantly lied to me and cost me $700. Of course my insurance company isn't going to pay for the additional insurance because THEY ALREADY INSURE ME. Enterprise was of absolutely no help when I confronted them about this. They completely took advantage of me as a young female renting a car for the first time. I am absolutely appalled and I will NEVER be renting a car from Enterprise again. You would think a large company like Enterprise would care a little bit more about their customer's and their experience than to steal $700 from them. Not only have I NOT been contacted directly by anyone from Enterprise, as promised by them over a month ago, today I received a bill for the cost of a windshield replacement because of a rock chip so minor my own insurance said they wouldn't replace it but instead said it should be epoxied (like every other minor windshield rock chip). Best part of the invoice? The fact that Enterprise conveniently didn't include in their final invoice the $100 deposit of mine they kept (sneaky!), and cheeky line item costs like $50 for "admin fees." We scheduled a pickup at 9am on a Sunday. They were understaffed, so when I called for the pickup, they said, sorry we can't we only have 2 people in the office. They said they called the day before and offered to split cab fair with me. Problem. They did call me the day before but they didn't leave me a message. These guys in Ballard are the best. My car breaks down all the time, and they're my first go-to for a car to get to work. I don't want to jinx it, but I seem to get awesome cars with them for cheap all the time. I just reserve online, bring myself to the Ballard location, and they are super nice in getting my rental clean and showing me around features I should know about. The more senior members point out where the gas is, and where the seat adjustment, mirror controls, radio, lights and wipers, especially when it's not obvious. And when I need an extra day, I just make sure to call them, give them my last name, and it's all good. Very friendly service, decent vehicles and reasonable pricing. I have no big complaints, but they fumbled a few of the details: *I called to reserve a vehicle and they failed to offer any of the add-ons (insurance, roadside assistance, young driver fee, etc), giving me a firm-sounding quote then doubling the price after I got the package I was looking for. I'm sure this is relatively standard in car rental, but I would rather have gone into it without the expectation of a lower price. *The handle for the passenger window popped off the first time my passenger tried to roll it down. This is more Kia's fault than Enterprise's. *The wipers had not been checked before I got the vehicle, and they were hazardously overdue for replacement. I got caught in a rainstorm south of Portland on my way home went through several stressful hours of squinting through a smeared windshield. *4 days after rental, I'm still waiting for the debit to appear on my bank account. Overall, not a bad experience. Their staff are incredibly friendly and easy to work with, but could use a tighter routine. read more

Worst experience with a rental car agency I've ever had. Was involved in a car accident, the auto shop called ahead to reserve a car for me. The car was reserved under the driver at faults insurance, yet I had to pay the $100 deposit on the car and was assured that upon the return of the vehicle the money would be refunded. Brought the car back when mine was finished at the body shop, and understood that i would be receiving my deposit in the form of a check through the mail within 5-7 days. Three weeks later I called inquiring as to where my deposit was and was told that a box on the computer was accidentally checked stating that my deposit had already been refunded, which it had not. I was told that they would call the Renton office to find out what had happened and receive a call back. My call was not returned. I called back 9-10 hours later and was told that the original explanation was wrong and that there had been a mistake at the Renton office but the check had been sent out a week ago. These stories greatly conflict each other as I live very near the Renton office and it does not take a week and a half for a letter to get a city over not to mention why it was not sent out for over two weeks initially. Called again, now a month later, spoke with the branch manager and was told the Renton office was not open yet but would get a answer for me shortly. I call back 6 hours later and the manager now is out of the office. I have been out of work for the month now and Enterprise has not helped in relieving the stress of the accident. My husband and I have rented cars here on a number of occasions over the past 8 years with no trouble. Recently, we needed a car while ours was in the shop, so I gave them a call to make a reservation in my husband's name. Turns out he (and myself, by default as his wife) are all of a sudden on a "do not rent" list?!? According to the staff person I spoke to, we had a balance due after a rental from a different location dated 2008. The other location never notified us of this balance and it never came up in the 7 years of renting from this location, until just last month? We were never notified by mail, the balance didn't show up on any credit reports, and no collections were placed on this balance. I called their general customer service number who could tell me nothing about this balance and offered zero support. I called this location back to inquire more about it and they couldn't really explain to me what it was for and only offered that it "had been sent over from the other location recently and our names have been placed on this list." Needless to say I won't bother renting from Enterprise again, mostly out of fear that more mysterious charges may appear long after a rental is complete. A rental automobile was needed while a personal car was being repaired. The rented car was clean and in good working order. The customer service and troubleshooting at the NW 73rd St & 15th Ave NW Seattle (Loyal Heights) location were very positive. Darius, the courteous and proactive Enterprise worker at the place, treated a senior renter who had a slight hearing loss with respect and was able to clarify some confusing aspects of a rental agreement and explain options while remaining cheerful and calm. Often during business transactions involving individuals who physically present as elderly, these individuals are condescended to or treated with disdain or with an attitude that results in the senior feeling disrespected or discounted. I would definitely recommend this Enterprise location for its customer service. The only criticism is not with this location but with Enterprise's habit of renting out cars with the gas tank not full. It would be helpful if the company would do as all other auto rental companies do and rent cars with a full tank of gas. read more

Watch the charges from the branch closely! I declined their coverage and discovered they had charged my card for the coverage 2 days after I returned the vehicle. The branch manager, Corey, said they had lost my paperwork. So their default when in doubt is to charge you. Also, I had left my copy of the paperwork on the driver's seat of the car, so they didn't really look too hard to find it. He explained they were "trying to get ahold of me" to determine if I had declined the coverage or not. However, I have no emails or calls from them and I returned the car 4 days ago. He also seemed surprised that I had been actually charged and not just a pending charge or hold. I've used Enterprise many times in the past and haven't had issues, but this was my first time at this location--I will not be back. read more

My car was stolen a week ago and I've had a rental from this business since then. My car was stolen in the morning and my insurance company had me on the phone with these guys (with a convenient confirmation number) by 9 AM. While Enterprise said they couldn't get me a car until 3:30 PM (they had to get one transferred from another lot), they managed to get me one by 1:30 so I could still work half a day. My car hadn't been cleaned/prepped the way a usual rental is, but they knew I was in a hurry and they were busting a nut to get me mobile. By the way, the car was NOT dirty, it just had some crumbs, etc. from the previous driver - no biggie in my book. Steve in the office, was FABULOUS. We decided to rent a car at the last minute for a weekend trip with the family. When I say "last minute," I mean it was truly last minute. We decided to rent a car mid-morning on Sunday, and we were in the office by early afternoon and able to drive up to Deception Pass for some time in the park and an early dinner before heading back home. The customer service rep on the phone was very friendly and efficient, as was the rep at the location who helped us check out our car. We returned after hours and check out was easy - there's a drop box at the front door for the keys and clipboard with a sheet of paper on it for your tag number and info. The only drawback was that it was pouring down rain and the paper was soggy. The next day I got a voicemail from the same person who checked us out saying that the van looked great and clearly stating the charge to my credit card after deposit. Highly recommend! read more

Enterprise advertises, 'we'll pick you up'. However I made a reservation the previous night and when I called for a pickup, I was told it would be three hours wait, so I had to take an Uber to get there. First added expense. Then, I wasn't able to return the car precisely at 10 AM due to a true emergency (piece burned out in electrical meter night before return and I had to wait here for contractor to fix. The fry out in the meter caused all house to lose electricity). Instead of understanding and allowing me to return car at 12:30, they wanted to charge me an entire extra day. When I complained, they acquiesced to charging me for every hour I couldn't return it. Understand they may need this policy to get people to return on time, but this was a real live emergency and they insisted I had to pay extra for the couple hours the house was being worked on and I couldn't get to their office. Customer care, bad. Extra money being made-apparently yes. Use this office of Enterprise again? Nope. I'd like to add here that SHoreline Enterprise, where I returned the aforementioned car, were super responsive to the issues above and called the one at 15th to do a bit better by me. So they picked up the UBER cost and didn't charge me extra two hours it took me to get their car returned due to electrical emergency. Renting a car shouldn't be this expensive. While the car and customer service was what I've come to expect, on this particular day the sales rep didn't go over anything on my bill. Listed in the bill was a fee of $125 for returning the car to the nearby airport. Had anyone explained the $125 fee, I would have happily returned the car to the original location to avoid it. How is the airport fee justified? Seattle's airport is just 22 miles away from the Ballard branch. Even If I was charged for full day that's still nowhere close to $125. The gas tank was full when I returned it. Even if the car had to be delivered to another branch Enterprise would still be money ahead. Their "airport return fee" is not justified in any case. I've been using Enterprise for my car rentals for several years. After this, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more
