The manager Gina was not interested in my backstory. She said she couldn't fix my rate when I know that's a lie. Hopefully this brings awareness to the corporate culture at enterprise.. You would think someone would be open to helping me but no just passed around like a hot potato & being price gauged along the way. Thanks ENTERPRISE! Supposedly corporate escalated the matter & sent me here. But with a higher rate.

Book 2 cars, just in case they will tell you that the first car you reserve is not available or have an engine light on.

When I picked up the rental car, it was clearly not cleaned--as shown in the attached photo of the cupholder, which had dirt, crumbs, and even a piece of trash left behind. On top of that, the car had a bad smell that made the ride uncomfortable from the start. To make matters worse, when I returned the vehicle, I was told the gas tank wasn't full, even though I had filled it completely just before drop-off. I was forced to drive back to the gas station, waste more time, and take a video of the pump clicking off to prove the tank wouldn't accept more fuel. Absolutely ridiculous. Between the poor cleanliness and the unnecessary hassle with the gas, this was one of the worst rental experiences I've had. I expected more from Avis.

I have been to this Avis twice and on both occasions they had no cars. The first time I had a…read morereservation only to arrive and told they had no cars available. Thus I had to drive to Riverside and pick it up from another Avis. The second occasion I had rented a car from Avis at the Ontario Airport. About 30 minutes into my rental the cars started to smoke and the AC went completely out. I phoned Avis and was directed to go to the nearest Avis office. Upon arrival again I was told there were no cars available. Their advice was to drive an hour back in traffic to the Airport to exchange it. Go here at your own risk. I would have given zero stars if available.

Every single charging session was clearly documented with time, location, cost, and a photo as proof. Most of the time, I charged the vehicle at home. The total charging cost was about $151, but HERZT charged me more than double that amount without any explanation. Their bill did not match my records at all. I called their customer service several times to dispute the charges, but no solution was offered. The attitude I received was essentially: "If you want to rent from us, you have to accept our terms." No explanation, no itemized breakdown, no accountability. I ended up returning the car today. Seven years ago, I had already noticed that HERZT tends to overcharge and sneak in fees. I gave them another chance, and unfortunately, nothing has changed. This time, I made sure to clean the vehicle carefully and took photo evidence before returning it. At this point, I would not be surprised if they still try to add a cleaning fee out of nowhere. My advice is simple. Go to Enterprise instead. I have rented from Enterprise for over 15 years and never had a single unpleasant experience. Their pricing is transparent, and their service is reliable. I underestimated just how unreliable HERZT still is. I will never rent from them again. If Enterprise is not available, I would rather ride a bicycle than deal with HERZT again. Seriously.

Enterprise put my wife and me in serious danger twice and then brushed it off with a $100 credit…read more On August 13 while my car was in the body shop, I rented a Tesla Model Y from the Riverside Enterprise. The manager admitted the only Tesla available had tire issues but reassured me after checking with another branch that this one was good to go. After waiting over 45 minutes the car finally arrived. Within days I discovered the car was leaking air so badly that I had to constantly refill the tires just to keep driving it. On August 16 I called to report the issue. The same manager told me not to worry and said he had a brand new Model Y with no problems. I swapped cars, only to have this so called safe vehicle malfunction almost immediately after leaving the lot. While driving home on the freeway, the car suddenly went haywire. The emergency blinkers came on by themselves, loud alarms blared nonstop, multiple error messages flashed across the screen, and then the accelerator pedal went limp. I had no choice but to coast onto the shoulder of a busy freeway where my wife and I were stranded for nearly two hours as cars sped past. When I called the manager during this emergency, instead of offering real help he transferred me to roadside assistance. After the tow truck arrived I was instructed to follow the car back, but because the Riverside location had closed I was sent to the Ontario Airport branch. There, management told me they had negative inventory and acted like they could not provide a replacement. After another hour and a half of waiting I finally left with a vehicle that was a clear downgrade from what I had paid for. When my wife returned that car the Riverside manager offered nothing more than $100 off the booking and promised to follow up with me personally. No call ever came. No real apology. No accountability. Enterprise gave me not one but two unsafe vehicles within three days, knowingly put us at risk on a busy freeway, wasted hours of our time, and then treated the entire ordeal like a minor inconvenience. Customers deserve safe cars and responsible management. We got neither.
