Visited Seattle for a few days and it's been on my plan to visit this! First saw this place on IG and their version of halo halo intrigued me! Location - north of Seattle, the drive up there is not that bad. Plenty of parking as the place is located in a strip mall. Ambiance is your typical Filipino restaurant with cute Filipino decors. Ample seating inside. Service - everyone's nice and accommodating. Everyone's ready to answer questions about the menu. Fast service, food came out freshly made. Food - everything were good! After being here a few more times, I can say that I love this place! Same great food! Not much else to say! The beef ribs are a little hard to eat, but is delicious! Sisig is crispy and tasty! They need to be more generous with the sauce for the ribs, I only got one small container of the sauce that was barely enough for one rib and had to ask for more. With 3 parties ahead of us and plenty of others waiting around for their food, we actually got our order super quick! 2 minute wait for my Ube cream coffee which was rich and flavorful but not too sweet (highly recommend) and only 5 minutes after that did we get the 808 plate and shrimp bowl. The beef rib we substituted for the chicken less a bit too sweet. My husband wasn't used to that and thought it could have been more savory. The garlic butter shrimp was slightly over cooked and didn't have nearly as much garlic or butter as it should have. Honest rating for the food would be 3/5 but definitely 5/5 for service! read more

However, also note that serving really authentic pork ear and chicken liver sisig in a mass-market, trying-to-crowd-please environment may not sell very well. I think the compromise they come up with -- essentially *only* crispy, sizzling pork belly accompanied by a slice of lemon and a red chili pepper (along with a nod to Hawaii with some furikake-topped rice and mac salad -- works extremely well, whatever you want to call it. The whole menu is delicious. Even their chicken adobo passes muster, and I'm very particular about doing it my own way at home. Tried the original halohalo and, thankfully, they didn't put the beans in there. Tried the Enseamada Cafe for the first time this holiday weekend and I have got to say, this place has some serious "ono grindz!" It's Filipino food but masked behind an Aloha flair. In reality, most food that haole's think and/or call "Hawaiian" are actually from other Asian countries. In the case of the Enseamada Cafe, a lotta Filipino cuisine from the Adobo bowl, the lumpia (what haole's call egg rolls), Inihaw, Sisig, the Lechon (for you haole's: Pork Belly Bites), Halo halo (pronounced Ha-Low Ha-Low, not Hay-Low Hay-Low) and their name-sake, Enseamada (baked bread with a butter layer dipped in sugar). While the Filipino menu isn't as extensive as say, Fil-Cuisine, it has enough choices to give you a moment of pause. Each one needing to be seriously considered. In our case it was best to look at the menu ahead of time (online) so we could be ready once we were onsite. Good thing too because the crowd was nonstop and with limited seating in a small venue, timing was everything. So our order was the 808 Mix Plate, adobo bowl, pork belly bites, regular halo-halo, corn halo-halo, and three enseamada's (ube cream, ube cheese and salted egg). To say that everything was good is a serious understatement. Quality food and in Filipino portions. So if anything, it was too much food (never a bad thing). I was way full, and I never get that full at lunch. The lunch plates were very "Hawaiian" with the side of Hawaiian Mac Salad (which most respectable "Hawaiian" establishments include with all lunch plates or bowls and not as an extra purchase like at the Kona Kitchen), the rice was nicely seasoned with Furikake, and the meat was so good. The Chicken Adobo was excellent! Pinoy made for sure. Reminds me of my dad's adobo. The mix plate, I'm at a loss for words, except you've got to get it. So much meat, all cooked to perfection. The sides of lumpia shanghai, mac salad, green salad and rice helps breaking up all that meat. Pork, chicken, spam, shrimp, beef....it's all good! As for their halo-halo, one of the best I've ever had. It kinda reminds me of the shave-ice they serve at Matsumoto Shave Ice in Haleiwa on the North Shore (actually the Matsumoto Shave Ice is more like halo-halo than it is your typical "shave-ice"). It would've been better if we'd had a sunny 80°, 90° day as it's the perfect cool dessert in that kinda heat. That's why it's so popular in the P.I. (Philippine Islands, not Private Investigator). Service was no joke. As busy as they were, the speed and efficiency of the counter, kitchen and floor was spot on. It's wasn't an army of people, just a handful who were able to take orders and get them out without loss of quality and time , food was hot, orders were getting out. The only reason the line was so long was because people kept coming almost as fast as folks were getting their orders. I have seen less busy places with more staff that were not this efficient, so shame on those businesses and their staff. They had a kinda Costco efficiency. You know what I'm talking about. Now while you won't find Dinuguan or Loco-Moco on the menu, what they do serve up is no question quality as well quantity. You want an expanded "Hawaiian" or Filipino menu, I recommend Fil-Cuisine, Bobby's Hawaiian or Hawaiian Sun. As for the Enseamada Cafe, I think they are perfect and will DEFINITELY see me again. Next time I'm thinking I'll order take out and have lunch at Lighthouse Park in Mukilteo. read more

FYI The utensils and water are self service. The food, mind you, I just return from Manila and Palawan so my taste bud is quite critical and I'm searching for that authentic Filipino taste! Delivery review Okay, I work from home, and this is one of those cheat-meal lunches where I get lazy and order delivery, feel kinda guilty about that, and then end up enjoying the food so much that I don't even care. Enseamada is amazing. It showed up quickly, still hot, and everything was packed well. Tons of flavor on everything. No spills anywhere. Some of this is messy food and you will use either all the napkins they send, or maybe some wet wipes or the sink. Garlic Noodles Slightly overdone but it's hard to imagine them being any better. A little clumpy, a little soft, but covered with tons of garlic and sprinkled with salty cheese to great effect. Narrower than spaghetti noodles, and seasoned slightly differently, but if you've ever gone crazy eating a plate of spag you'll do the same here. I finally had to put it away so I didn't overeat. BBQ Chicken Easy add-on to the noodles. No further menu explorations required for me today. Sauce is a little tangy sweet, mildly fruity. Covered with sprigs of fresh cilantro. Cooked to perfect moist doneness. $9 for 3 grilled thighs. Skin is bright red from seasoning with clearly-visible grill marks. Lumpia This is one of those dishes that's always a treat when done halfway well and turns into a mindless chowfest when it's really good. This one is really good. Not sure if it's house-made; I'd believe it either way, but I lean toward house-made just given how well-executed the whole meal is. Since I was traveling up to Everett, I decided to try a restaurant around the area. The first thing that came up was this restaurant: Filipino + Hawaiian fusion! Coming from Hawaii and feeling nostalgic, I had to check it out! It's located next to Razzals Bar & Grill and Touba Bakery in a small plaza off of Highway 99 in Everett. There's a parking lot with ample parking. My boyfriend and I got take out and shared their Inihaw Plate with Beef Ribs (extra $3) and Garlic Noodles. The food smelled soooo good when we went into the car with it. And the taste and flavors lived up to the smelled!The Inihaw Plate was HUGE especially with the beef ribs! The beef ribs were so big that one of the two pieces was sticking out of the takeout box. Crazy! The beef ribs were soooo tender that the meat practically (almost) fell off the bone. That's the best kind of ribs! They were suuuper tasty too! The marinate wasn't overwhelming and too salty. The accidental addition of the furikake from the rice gave a nice touch to it too. The mac salad was kind of meh. Not much flavor that I'm used to but helped balance the savory and saltiness of everything. The Garlic Noodles was packed into a big reusable takeout container. It didn't give a strong garlic flavor like how I'm used to with many places that make garlic noodles. The flavor was kind of subtle which didn't give much of a 'garlic noodle indication'. Not necessarily a bad thing as it was still addicting to eat. Definitely something I wouldn't be able to finish in one sitting either! I didn't really get much of a Filipino/Hawaiian vibe from the dishes we ordered, but they were both really good and addicting to eat! We also got five ensaymadas to bring home for our breakfast. We chose two ube overload, one halaya, one cheese, and one salted egg. The worker recommended the cheese and salted egg, so I'm curious to how they taste! One enseamada was $3.50 which was kind of pricey especially since they're on the "smaller" side compared to the ones I used to buy, but they looked amazing! The ube overload was uberly sweet. Sugar on top of sugar. Too much for me. But the cheese and salted egg ones were really good! The sweetness was balanced out by the saltiness. So glad I went with the worker's recommendation! I would have switched the meat selection in the 808 to the beef or pork rib for extra $2-3. The BBQ chicken was dry but the one in the adobo was good. Mac salad was creamy but the dressing on regular salad was too heavy. The lumpia, fried shrimp, and spam were good. I also got an ube enseamada. I was expecting filling inside but it's only on top. Best when reheated briefly in the microwave. It's a nice soft bun. A cheese flavor was also available. I love that Filipino food continues to be represented in the PNW! After seeing Enseamada pop on my feed a few times, we were able to stop by on the way back from the outlets. Note: if you looking to actually try their ensaymadas (sweet Filipino brioche buns), you have to get there early! We were there around 1pm and they all sold out. Easy to find parking, no need to find street or parallel parking. It's located near other restaurants and stores. Very small place for the popularity. On a Saturday morning they had about 10 people lined up, and noticed another 10-20 customers while we were there had to take out since there was no place to dine. Great customer service. Staff was Filipino making it more authentic for the restaurant. Before we left, they asked how was everything. Garlic Noodles with Beef BBQ Ribs. Very rich in flavor. Can taste the garlic from the noodles. Delicious! As for the ribs, tender, juicy and fatty. Filipinos loves the taba. 9/10. Ube Pancakes with Macadamia Nuts. Amazing and very unique taste. The nuts is a must when ordering the dish. Wow! Wow! Wow!!!! I hardly ever come up to Everett but I had to pick my dad up from Paine Field. Their 808 plate is no joke! You get so much food for around $16! I got their bbq chicken and my dad got the beef ribs. It's was really tasty! The 808 plate came with salad, Mac salad, 2 lumpia, a slice of spam, two butterfly shrimps and Mac salad. The ensaymada was a little bit dry but it was soft and flavorful, they recommend heating it up for 15 seconds in the microwave so I'll try that. I like the ones with cheese on top like the original and Ube cheese. The Ube tres leches was heavenly and the Ube taste is prominent which I love (some Ube stuff you can't even taste it, but you can with the tres leches) I also got a calamansi green tea refresher and that was really refreshing and the calamansi flavor was perfect. The owner and staff are amazingly friendly and have comfortable seating and plenty of it. I really want to try their Halo Halo but it was too cold and I didn't have anyone to share it with (I got diabetes sadly). I had the Inihaw Plate with chicken, Crispy Sizzling Sisig, Crispy Pork Belly Bites, Ube pancakes, and the Ube Halo Halo. The chicken had a lot of flavor and the pork had the perfect amount of crisp. I have more of a sweet tooth so I mostly went for the desserts and it did not disappoint. The pancakes were smothered in the sauce and was not overly sweet. When we ordered the halo halo I was already full at that point, but it was so good that I just kept on eating it. I highly recommend for the food. Only downside are their hours, I wish they were open on more days or earlier/longer! It was also pretty crowded when I went, so finding a table might be a little tricky on the weekend. This place is FANTASTIC! We arrived 15 minutes before the cafe opened on Saturday and had about 5 groups of people in front of us. Once we ordered the food came out pretty quick! We ordered the 808 mix plate, garlic noodles with pork ribs, ube pancakes, lumpia, picked up 1 of each flavor of the ensaymadas, the ube cookies, and the ube creama coffee. Out of everything we tried I would probably skip out on the ube cookies and salted egg ensaymada next time, cause everything else was more delicious, but you really can't go wrong here! Everything is delicious!! The ube pancakes had this chewy almost mochi like texture, probably the best pancakes I've ever had. Amazing food with quick and friendly service. Got there 5 minutes before opening and I was 7th in line so I felt like that was a sign I had come to the right place. Came here right when they were open and there was already a line to go in! The workers there were all super nice, greeted everyone when they were walking in and just provided really great customer service! The interior of the restaurant was also really nice, bright and vibrant with Hawaiian music playing in the background! The menu was a perfect size to choose from! Not too many dishes and not too little! There was so much I wanted to try for the first time but I went with the 808 Mix Plate(crispy shrimp, lumpia, spam and a choice of either bbq beef rib, bbq pork rib, or bbq chicken and also rice & Mac salad) I went with the bbq beef ribs and they were amazing! Tender and very flavorful! This dish is perfect if you are undecided and want a little of everything. Also I decided to try the garlic noodles, this was alright. Pasta was a little over cooked but very flavorful, you can also add a protein with this too! Also we tried the garlic shrimp too! The shrimps were decent size and it came in a decent portion too. We also ordered two different drinks to try, the first one is the calamansi green tea & lychee refresher. Both were delicious, not too sweet and the calamansi pairs really well with the green tea! And the lychee refresher came with two lychee pieces that you can enjoy with your drink!
