It was a nice and pleasant late lunch. The chicken inasal thigh was huge, like Costco style huge. The garlic rice serving on the side was nicely huge as well. And the cookies and cream ice cream from Lopez Island was a nice palate cleanser for dessert It is unfortunate however that the flavors didn't meet my expectations. The chicken inasal was baked, not BBQ'd on an open flame. The meat was so thick everything on the inside tasted like any other baked chicken, which was also happened to be dry/tough/hard in some places. And I couldn't taste the garlic in the garlic rice. All in all, not a bad meal by any means. I'd like to come back to try the calderera.

Clean restaurant and staff are very friendly and prompt. Bulalo is my favorite! The pansit is good too! Definitely coming back and have bulalo again.

We called ahead to order a few dishes to go. Later found out they were out of those dishes. Not sure why they didn't know this when we called. The food was ok, not the best filipino food we've had. Since theres not a lot of filipono options in the area we will be back to give them another try

I'm not sure why this place has such low reviews! I ordered take out from here and thought food was delicious and prices were fair. I wouldn't drive out of my way for this place, but if you're in the area and craving Filipino food, you should come in. We got the beef kare kare ($19) and pancit bihon with crispy pork ($19). Both portions were plenty generous. The kare kare had a nice serving of eggplant and bok choy, which were perfectly cooked. The tripe and meat was delicious although the latter was on the very fatty side. Bathrooms are clean and parking lot had plenty of room.

We came here during the old ownership and did not like the food or service, so when we heard the owners changed we decided to give it another try. The service is still extremely slow we were told our order would be out in 15-20 minutes, ended up being 40 minutes. The lechon kawali was good but the amount for the price was not worth it, my wife had the sinagang and complained it was flavorless and wasn't worth eating also the rice was extra charge. Too many other good Filipino spots around to waste our time and money here. Cannot recommend and will not return

New Filipino restaurant in Arlington! I was very sad to hear that Strita Kitchen closed and the owners moved back to the Philippines. Luckily, the location was taken over by another Filipino restaurant! Lots of classics on the menu but went with the lechon kawali, beef kare kare and sinigang pork belly. Lechon kawali was freshly fried and crispy. The soy vinegar dipping sauce makes this! Beef kare kare was made with beef shank so you get little bone marrow treat! The house made bagoong adds some much needed funk to this! Sinigang with pork belly was really excellent! Sour and savory! There were many things I wanted to try on the menu but sadly were not available which i chalk up to new opening growing pains. The location in a non descript office plaza way out of the way does not make easy for people to just stumble upon so make the effort to find them!

Food - even-changed of ownership, quality, and taste of the food is still excellent. Service - still the best. Mike - server is very nice and excellent service! Ambiance - little changes from the previous owner (strita), still best spot here! Craving for Filipino food this is the place to go.. huge portions and reasonable price. Clean place to eat and of course, delicious! Masarap , manyaman!

It's located in the corner of a warehouse type complex with a more pick up/to go service. They offer an array of frozen and made to go items, but ended up going with the pork lumpia and pineapple rolls. Service was very friendly! It cost about $10 for 6 lumpia rolls and $6 for the frozen pineapple dinner rolls. Still recovering from the sheer goodness of the lumpia! Perfectly cooked and flavored - they were crispy and anything you could ever want! Would def come back to try their other items.

Wanting to support our local food vendors we bought a platter of Lumpia and Hum Bao to nosh on today. I could hardly contain myself in the car it smelled so good. I knew about the Hum Bao when I saw one of my buddies munching on one a while back. The Hum Bao we have was baked to a nice golden brown. I like the steamed ones as well and I think that is an option there. I'm definitely going to avail myself of the plate lunches once things open up in Island County. Right now only one person is allowed in the lobby at a time and there is no outdoor dining option at this location. Cristy is diligent about sanitizing between customers and she cleans the touched surfaces between customers. Front door included. I look forward to patronizing their place in the future.

I come back to this restaurant per request of my parents. My dad likes coming here for their chopsuey. The vegetables are fresh and cooked perfectly. I have ordered sinigang, bicol express and their kare-kare. All the entrees come with servings of rice (2-3 portions). The dishes are meant to be served family style so that you can share the dishes. They have a little sauce bar to pair your food with your favorite sauce whether that's soy sauce, vinegar, etc. The only reason why I give this place 3/5 stars is due to the owner's attitude. I ordered a lechon kawali kare-kare and lechon kawali was brought out, no kare-kare. When I mentioned to her that the order was incorrect, she argued with me that is what I ordered. I told her that we did order it but she must have not heard us. Instead of trying to mitigate the order, she continued to argue with us that we did not order it. It took another worker to pull her aside to prevent her from arguing with us further. We could hear her keep trying to justify that we did not order correctly. The worker tried to offer the correct order to us, but we declined. We did not want to argue any further and just eat our meal at this point. The restaurant looks in good shape and has good Filipino food. They could use improvement on their service. We will likely be back per request of my parents but otherwise I would avoid if I don't need to eat here.

Every time I visit, I pick up a fruit or vegetable that I haven't tried before. Today it was a small Korean melon with bright yellow skin. The guys who work the fish counter are personable and knowledgeable. The man who helped us made a good suggestion for the type of fish to use in a soup, and didn't grumble when, near closing, he had to start up the equipment to cut it for us. The parking lot can be busy but I just choose to park farther away from the door. Also, try to go during an off hour--the veggie section (and the store in general) can get crowded. I suggest stopping by the deli section at the front of the store to see what treats are available. Last time I tried a tasty steamed cake wrapped in banana leaf. Another tip is to jump on specials as soon as you see them. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up an entire pack of oxtails for 1.99 a pound. I went back a few days later and they were gone. I still bought oxtails, for up to $2.00 less a pound than other stores. Lastly, double check the expiration dates on prepackaged foods. Every once and a while you'll find one that is past it's prime.
