We experienced months of delays, inconsistent communication, and repeated excuses. When a sauna finally arrived, it was the WRONG MODEL and missing parts. Do not purchase from Enlighten Sauna. I have personally dealt with them for over 2 years attempting to recover refunds owed on cancelled orders. They acknowledged the debt, agreed to a structured payment plan, and only one payment was ever received. The second payment bounced due to non-sufficient funds (NSF) and the third was never made. A fourth transaction was also never reimbursed despite their acknowledgment. We tried every private avenue to resolve this -- payment plans, formal legal correspondence, and repeated opportunities to make it right. Every commitment went unfulfilled. N Mich had alot of snow this yr and the hybrid sauna had trouble keeping the temp up without the digital panel alarming and shutting power down. I wanted remote control of the stove, so I contacted Harvia-USA, Enlighten had sold me a unit not authorized or certified for US distribution. Stove and infrared both work fine, so far, - but unfortunately because of the digital control box, there is no way to set this stove up for remote phone activation :( which is very very disappointing. I'm now, moderately happy with the unit overall, it works and looks nice. Cedar wood is attractive and consistent appearance. Used professional home building crew for assembly, two half days time. I've have had some water seepage around speakers, and wouldn't be surprised if I had some mold in roof space like other posts. The door transom isn't angled, so in the winter - water builds up and eventually refreezes so the door can't be opened with out a rubber mallet and chisel to 'gently' remove the ice dam from the door to get it the unit. Door magnets don't keep door secure in winds over 12-15 which we get off the bay, I added stronger magnets-neodymium, problem solved. This past winter that was 5 or 6 times and I was gone for 6 weeks of it. New pics" If I had it all to do again, I'd but from a local shop or have one custom built. We've had our 3-person sauna for eight years. My wife loves it, and it still looks awesome in our backyard. It gets a lot of use. The LCD panel is starting to get a bit hard to read, so we decided to replace it. The support from the Enlighten folks was excellent. We simply sent a few photos of the electronics under the sauna bench and the LCD panel and they identified new electronics which have been updated since our sauna was built. I had high hopes for this sauna, but unfortunately, the experience has been incredibly disappointing. Not long after installation, the exterior of the unit began to warp, change color, and even show signs of rot. I reached out and spoke to Armand, who assured me he would take care of the issues. Despite many promises, there was no follow-through. Instead of honoring the warranty, Armand told me to pay for the repairs out of pocket and said he'd reimburse me once I sent the invoice. I did exactly that--but after multiple calls and messages to both him and customer service, I received no response and no reimbursement. I wish I had looked at reviews more closely (and seen the F-rating on BBB) before we ordered, as it seems like we are lucky that we did actually receive a sauna after months of waiting. But that's when the problems started-- there was shipping damage and missing parts (the heater) and their customer service became completely non-responsive once they had received that final payment from us. We got the Diamond 5 Slope Hybrid outdoor sauna. The "hybrid" is an infrared sauna that has been hacked up on the interior to install a traditional heater as well. We had to purchase our own traditional heater ($975) as there was no response from Enlighten when it was missing from our delivery. I have requested a refund for this expense and as usual no response or inadequate response such as "we will review". The manual that came with the sauna was poorly written and did not have the correct electrical wiring information for the model that we received. We were told one circuit would be adequate but our electrician said that that would not be code compliant so we had to have another installed. It has been a really bad experience to have spent so much money and then been given no support, from the same people who were very eager to take my calls during the ordering process. Yes, my Sauna was just out of the three year warranty. But I vetted this company along with others before purchasing for our home in the foothills of the mountains in Washington state. Two years ago we had 5 feet of snow in 48 hours. I had to dig my sauna out to use it! Every year I would call and get help with maintenance assistance. Water leaking through the windows, varnish buckling etc... I was a bit miffed about the problems so soon after purchasing but grateful for the help. Then this last fall. The roof completely failed. My husband, just to get through the harsh winter put a tarp over the roof. After the snow thawed this spring he realized the roof was completely rotten and had to remove it. That's when I called the company for help. I sent photos, many photos. When we moved the sauna away from the house the back of the sauna was buckled due to water intrusion. I was asked to get a quote for repairs and did and sent it in to Enlighten. Quote was $6900. It was basically a redo. That was May 26th 2025. I was told someone would phone me back within one week. NO ONE EVER DID. I was kind and patient. Today I received an email that basically said "sorry, you are out of warranty. Thanks for choosing Enlighten, have a nice day" Please make sure and do your due diligence if you live in a very wet and rainy area or a mountain and snowy area. You won't fare well. read more

Delays, passing the buck, screwed up accounting system, shipment given to someone else, so we had to be back ordered, delays, no shipping data when fully paid for but waiting on truck for weeks and weeks. Once it arrived (see photo) 10 boxes were not numbered in order like the instructions clearly stated. So we had a HUGE area with all of the contents of the boxes opened up, a pickup load of packing materials removed from the area, and four people (with seven college degrees combined) unable to identify what was what part, where to begin, etc. this is NOT a DIY project. This was light manufacturing. If I knew then what I know now I would buy another brand, and pay an extra $1k for them to assemble and test it. Electrician had to re-work as instructions were wrong. Had to replace ENTIRE circuit breaker box, add circuits, pull wires, then un-pull and replace them due to incorrect instructions. Yes, we had to pay for copper twice - not recommended. When you need assistance you have to make an appointment with "engineering" 72 working hours in advance, then they are not engineers. They seem to be sales people who have maybe, perhaps seen them built before. Electrical DOES NOT MEET CODE! Sauna modifications had to be made. Imagine drifting off to sleep in your new sauna, only to be woke by the smell of smoke? That is what would have occurred. I originally purchased an infrared sauna in June 2024 from Enlightened Sauna through their website enlightensauna.com. I was told 6-8 weeks for delivery. For months, they kept postponing the shipment saying that it was in route, but it was never delivered. Finally by November 2024, I asked for my money back. they agreed to refund me my money, but to this day, I have not received my refund. I've left multiple emails and phone calls. Initially, They would respond, but now they've stopped responding to me or a very long delay in response. On the rare occasion, when they do respond, they tell me that they're looking into it or that it was going to be sent the following week. The refund never comes. When I contacted my bank (Chase), they said that they couldn't do anything about it as far as fraud goes, because it was bought with a check and not through a credit card purchase. At this point, I've been waiting since November 2024 when I was told I was going to get a refund. I purchased it almost a year ago in June 2024. They owe me $7063.01 for the sauna. I've tried getting a hold of their addresses doing a business license search to two different cities that they say they operate out of. The first one was Burlingame, California and the second one is out of San Francisco, California. When I do the business license search, to start a small claims lawsuit, there is no record. I feel that I've been defrauded. I believe they don't plan on refunding me my money. When doing a research into this company, there are a lot of complaints for the exact same issues. Customers are not getting their saunas, and when they are asking for a refund, they are not getting their money. I'm not the only one this is happening to. Challenges first: I almost went with 4 stars instead of 5 because of the length of time required for shipping. However, given my personal knowledge of international shipping challenges in my business life, and after seeing the sauna arrive in an extremely well thought-out and engineered crate, I appreciated the care and easily forgave the time required. Result: a beautifully crafted and surprisingly easily assembled sauna that worked perfectly right off the bat and is a joy to use. Critical note: open all the boxes first - to make sure you locate included instructions. Mine were under the ceiling panel - which, even though the box was opened, was one of the last panels used - so I didn't find those instructions until more toward the end when we lifted it up. I will say the build instructions downloaded from the web site could be more comprehensive, especially with respect to the electronic connections, but simply looking at the cables with their various connectors - it was obvious how it all went together. You basically can't do it incorrectly. Also - if I had the instructions shipped with the unit earlier - it would have been easier; but like I said - no problem putting it together on what seemed obvious. In hindsight - I would say the construction was very well engineered. The quality of the materials used is outstanding. I am proud to have this in plain view next to our pool. Close inspection reveals good attention to detail and high-quality materials. Inside the benches are comfortable and the function is intuitive. I bought this as an outdoor sauna for use in Utah where we get significant snowfall. I will post another review early next year when it has been subjected to multiple feet of piling snow. And in the meantime - we will enjoy this beautiful addition to our yard. (I'll also respond to some of the negative reviews - which seem to be about responsiveness. While I agree the team at Enlighten is probably understaffed from a logistics standpoint ... whenever I engaged with any of them I could tell they cared and were doing what they could to get the sauna to me. If there are damage issues - I'm sure they would work with you. As noted above - mine was pristine and well packaged. Although the whole transaction was challenging, the fact that Jacob reached out and said how can we make it right made the difference! The sauna itself works well and it is the most competitively priced one on the market. With all the Covid issues with shipments from China it was hard for their service to be as it was with my previous purchases. All I can say is wow. It's amazing how many times you can hear your sauna is being shipped out "next week". It arrived to their warehouse almost six weeks ago and they said it would take 1-2 days to process and would arrive to us in another 1-2 days. Every few days we call back and there has been some delay, but it's not their fault.. It's our fault for not understanding that they are understaffed and there is a huge process to ship our a sauna. We have only been going off of what they tell us is happening, and then when it doesn't happen we are in the wrong for thinking it was going to. Our salesman, Sam, tells us one time frame then Elvira tells us another and then Mark says that they are both wrong and gives us a different ship date.. all which have passed multiple times. We finally got ahold of Mark and he was extremely rude on the phone. He wouldn't let us speak and kept talking over us when we were asking to cancel the order completely. We finally did cancel the order but guess when the money is being returned.. Next week of course. Now I'm glad we didn't get the sauna because of how their customer service is. If we ever had a problem with it, we have no confidence that anything would be fixed. We were also trying to find out where these saunas were manufactured. Their website only says that the wood comes from Canada, but these are made and manufactured in China. Buyer beware! Unfortunately I have to agree with many of the negative comments here. I purchased the Rustic 2 model. It worked fine for the first year but late last year the power supply blew out (my electrician said I was lucky it didn't catch fire). I also had power issues with the Ionizer and Chromotherapy shortly after I bought it. I've been waiting 4 months now for the new power supply and keep getting told it's on "backorder". Not only that, but instead of sending out a tech they expect you to do everything yourself. Overall I'd rate the overall craftsmanship as not great. The factory finish was uneven when it came, with some areas not covered completely. I tried to refinish it but it came out blotchy as I will need to completely sand it down and refinish it again. It also takes a long time to warm up and there is no remote to turn the unit on if you wanted to warm it up while on the drive home. 3 things to think about with these folks. 1- the outdoor sauna needs to be coated 2-3 times a year if in the sun... most of the hardware on the unit rusts in less than 6months, and the rot starts in 12 months. So simply this is NOT an outdoor sauna. 2- There is really NO organized way to get spare parts; immediately after the warranty expired the controller stopped working, and I have been texting back and forth with a nameless tech to get an answer on parts availability and after 4-5 weeks we still can get anything ordered.. frustrating. 3. I received this sauna in boxes that were damaged. The roof was broken and not shingled correctly, all boxes were damaged, there were scratches all over the side walls. Mark, from Enlightened Sauna, came to the rescue and resolved this issue for me. They refunded me money to have this fixed. Talk to Mark if you have any problems! read more

These guys are really really hard to deal with. They are great at collecting money but they are terrible at communicating. We probably called 20-30 times before we got help.
