Mike and Jeff were great. I have an old (20+ years) Jacuzzi Spa. I had a leak so I first called several spa places for potential repair help. One group sent a person who looked at the old spa and said to replace it. I told him no, but let me know the problem-he said replace the pump plus other things, but won't say that it would solve the problem. My tennis friend had been using Spa Technicians for more than 10 years and highly recommended them. I called Jeff and Mike came over within a few days. he checked the entire spa and parts and said that there was a small crack in a part and had to find a supplier for the 20+ yr part. He did find it, put it in within a few weeks (part took time to get here). SPA works great. They stopped 3 times to make sure everything was working. What a legit phenomenal experience I had with Mike and Jeff. Jeff returned my message and from the same day that we started communicating, he provided clear expectations on what the issue could be and potential pricing. We just bought a house and the hot tub that came with it wasn't heating. We knew nothing to hot tubs and both of these gentlemen were incredibly nice and helpful with educating us. We had internal leakage in our (older) hot tub and decided to bring in an expert. The leak had caused corrosion on the motor, and had also corroded the bolts holding the motor to the tub base. The motor/pump needed to be removed and replaced. In reality, this was a quick job and it was difficult getting pool/spa repair companies interested in the work. That's when we found Spa Technician. We contacted Spa Technician mid-week, and messaged with Jeff. Soon we heard: "how about Friday?" and we were given a time window. Mike arrived within that window and completed the work. I have been using Spa Technician for years - all after having had exasperating experiences both managing my spa myself and using other experts. I've done it all. Changed a pump with a solenoid that no longer fit the contours of my spa shell - forcing me to switch my master and slave pumps. Balanced my own water with both bromine and non-chlorine based sanitizers. Pumped and cleaned the spa and removed all kinds of stains. In the end, these guys are just the only ones to hire for maintenance. If only all companies were like Jeff and Mike. This father son team wrote the book on technical knowledge when it comes to spas. They'll tell you if your water is balanced, optimize your pumps and heating elements, deal with any kind of leak, and service you with reasonably priced parts and service. It's a miracle these guys have been able to prioritize me when I call, because I can only imagine they're busy. But they always show up with a smile and unlike the moron who made a bad comment about those guys, these guys are respectful and fun to interact with. One other thing important to me. While I'm not a total novice, I know they've always priced their services and parts fairly because the bills are always less than what I expected. A few months ago they instantly diagnosed that my non-operational HotSprings problem was due to my 220 breaker. I have had a small spa for many years and have used Spa Technician 4-6 times to fix problems that I could not. Up until yesterday I have been happy with their service. But yesterday when I called them about a persistent leak that I could not fix the owner, Jeff, got into a rant and was very insulting to me. Jeff, asking a service man, whose time I am paying for, a few questions is not "harassment" or "hovering". Describing a problem that I cannot fix is not "whining". You DO NOT get to rant at and insult a paying customer even if you are having a bad day. There are other companies in this area servicing spas and I will start be using one of them. These guys are great. Prompt, reasonable, willing to work with you on a problem and the what's needed. We have a 1 year old Jacuzzi tub which we installed about 12" below grade, then with the bad storms over Christmas the electronics flooded and no power to the spa, breaker trips, etc. Had an electrician look at it, determined problem with the tub, had the dealer/service looked at it, they said that the installation caused the flooding and voided any warranty and gave us a large estimate. Called SPA technician and they were great on the phone, responsive, out the next day, did not need us at home. Worked with us, and got me up and running for about 60% of the estimate from the dealer. I can't express enough how impressed I was with these guys. This review is based purely on their level of integrity and honesty. I called up and in very simple terms left a message on what was wrong with my hot tub - "I went to get in and pushed the jet button and nothing worked". Jeff asked a couple of other basic questions and offered to come and take a look (he told me I didn't need to be home) and he said he would let me know. I've got a large dog at home and that really wouldn't work. Before I could try and set up an appointment when I could be there he troubleshoots on the phone and tells me what I most likely need to do is replace the internal fuse. Who knew it had an internal fuse? Then he walked me through how to change it and told me if it didn't work then I could call and schedule a service call. A $7 fuse later and with a pre prayer before throwing the breaker - boom, everything all good! I'm not sure what a service call would be; but, it's alot more than the $7 fuse. So for that Mike and Jeff - thanks and you've got a customer for whenever we need something down the road! read more

Back hurts, go out to the spa and surprise, it is 75 degrees, arghhhhhhhh. Water flows but no heat. Call Jeff at Spa Technician, he comes out quick and then fixes our issue, faulty pump (in the rain I might add). Then he shows the hubby that the wiring is too light for the load and fixes that too...whew (the spa came with the house so we had no background on it). Fast service, very knowledgeable and local. As good as it gets!! The heater in our spa stopped working - not good. Called Jeff, the owner, on Tuesday, and scheduled an appointment with Mike, their field technician, for Thursday the same week (they even had an opening the very next day as well). He showed up on time, took a quick look at our spa and identified the issue (broken relay). He took the circuit board to their shop, repaired it, and reinstalled it - all at the same day.
