What a cool bar restaurant. Located in a old fire house it offer quaint indoor dinning and a patio to enjoy the outdoors. It's seems like it has plenty of free parking behind the building and across the street in the public parking lot. I ordered The EHouse square pizza from a friendly server over the phone. When I arrived all the staff was very friendly , probably a great place to grab a beer or two. The EHouse pizza was good, pepperoni, bacon and tomato's. The crust was crisp and crunchy. Maybe cooked a little fast, the top had a nice crispy crunch but the interior topping like the pepperoni could have been done a little more. Still this was a good pizza and for the cost the small was generous portioned, enough for 2 maybe even 3 people. At $10 it was a good deal. The blt pizza is something I want to try next it looks fantastic in the pictures. read more

Always good food! Friendly atmosphere. we love their pizza ! But they have other good things on their menu (sandwiches, burgers, etc).

Absolutely love Engine House. I am gluten free and I have to say that the GF pizza here is one of my favorites of all time. It's not super thin tasteless like many other places. They also offer GF buns for burgers and sandwiches. I also enjoy their salads including their Michigan salad. My husband really likes their deep dish pizza and their burgers. If you're there when the train goes by they give out free jello shots. I hate jello shots, but it's nice that they do that! read more

The food is good. The atmosphere is nice. It's a good to get away for the night if you go with the family go earlier but if you want date night, go a little later. The service was good too. read more

Visited recently and the atmosphere was wonderful. I had the white flatbread which was delicious and the crock of French Onion Soup. The soup was honestly too salty (for my taste) so I did have to add a half pack of sugar to counterbalance but besides that the meal was delicious as a whole. Our waitress was very kind and attentive but I felt very rushed during the entire meal which was off putting. Will definitely come back a different time of day and try other menu items for sure read more

It's one of our faves! Best calamari around. Every time we come here, we end up ordering 2 of the calamari apps (just for 2 people), lol. My go-to is always the Seared Ahi Tuna (light seasoning). Hubby almost always gets the Brisket Dinner when it's available. The brisket is braised in Vernors VERNORS!! Being from MI, we know all the benefits that Vernors offers. The food is delicious, ice-cold beers and the friendliest staff. read more

Going into this I was expecting more, the sandwich's bun was undersized, and wish was toasted , but I digress the onion rings were cold and honestly I was hopefully some flavor on the rings but unfortunately it was Bland. The chicken was juicy but overall a great sandwich but sadly could use some improvement on presentation. read more

Pizza here is one of the best around. Their salads are good too. Good food and good vibes!

Food is amazing. From scratch cooking with amazing specials. Love the short ribs, garlic mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus. Ribeye is a great quality, wish it were larger only so it would be easier to cook to a medium rare. Veggies are cooked from fresh. GF buns/pizza. From whole meals to a burger you can't go wrong. Great environment. Welcoming staff. A great overall place to dine as couples, family, friends or solo. read more

Update! First time back since the plague and it's still wonderful. Even more so in nice weather as they have updated their outdoor seating area with cute tables and red chairs, and a nice tent canopy to keep the sun out of your face. The calamari is still the way I like it, in strips not rings, and the pizza is delicious and crunchy. So happy to see them still thriving! read more

Good food and good service! Loved the vibe of the restaurant. Will definitely go back again when in the area.

I have come here quite a few times over the years. They have a few dishes that I really like, and the service is usually really good! The layout is kind of weird, and it can get packed in there. It's a great place to catch watch sports and get a good meal. read more

My fiance and I go here quite a bit, this last time we went, Sunday the 2nd wasn't the best. We switched it up and got something new this time. We were frankly disappointed. I got the burger and he got the Alfredo and meatballs. We didn't finished our food unfortunately bc we couldn't handle it. We did not complain but once we got home we both had extremely upset stomachs. The waitress was amazing! The food not the best. We still love this place as it's become our favorite for French onion soup! read more

So we are trying to get in some new spots before the shut down. I have driven by this spot for years. I used to work at "St Joseph's East" when that was the name of the hospital. Always wanted to come in her and never did. But we did today. It is a repurposed fire station. We loved the atmosphere! The service was just...meh. Nor great. The food was just ok too. We both got the Monday lunch special. Cup of soup and half sandwich for me. He got a cup of soup and Cobb salad. Bother were fine but nothing to wow me. Nothing was bad. Just don't think we would come back. read more

The food is done right! Great atmosphere and service! Fish and chips were really good. Last visit I had, there was a parmesan pork chop special and it was fantastic! This is the perfect place for a meal, meet up with friends, and have some drinks! read more

Soup was amazing. I had mushroom and my husband had the chicken pot pie soup. Burgers were huge! Delicious

They do a good job with the food and the drinks are solid as well. Prices are very fair and the service is usually very good. I like the pizza and pasta; my wife says the cobb salad is amazing. It gets very busy in the evening, but if you come around lunch time on a weekend you can get a seat right away. Definitely worth a visit! read more

I very much enjoy the pizza. Pizza is my favorite food so it is easy for me to pinpoint stuff I do not favor with a pie. It was definitely good. First time I went there they made me an extra free pizza because two slices for my small got dropped when they were putting it In the oven. Very delicious and good compensation. Also went there last night. Nice server, fast service, good pizza again. Only thing was they forgot to put the grenadine in my coke but came around and gave everyone Jell-O shots who wanted one. Good food, nice service. The looks of the place has a lot of decor but not cluttered. Good sized establishment. read more

Their food Never disappoints. Sometimes crowded, with no seats left. Has an outdoor space that helps in pleasant weather

Our service was wonderful. Our server was very attentive without being intrusive. She brought me water refills as I have a dry mouth condition that requires lots of water with my meals. She didn't even know that so that was pretty amazing for me. The food came to our table piping hot and delicious. The mac and cheese was the best I've ever had in a restaurant. Green beans perfectly cooked. I had the walleye special. Perfectly breaded but was a little bit dry, still delicious. My boyfriend had the Ahi tuna cooked rare. He says it was fantastic. He also loved the mac and cheese and green beans as well! Thank you for a great meal and service! The ambience was also very pleasant and comfortable. We'll definitely be back soon! read more

Out and about decided to stop. It will be a destination eatery from now on. So impressed with the elevation of bar food to something special. We had soup and appetizers but I wouldn't hesitate ordering anything on menu It's the kinda place you trust to get it right. Service also was perfect Great place can't wait to go back. read more

This is my first time! I ordered the pan seared fish lunch it was very tasty I will be returning

Great atmosphere, polite waitress, and I didn't feel unsafe here. The appetizers are great! Especially the potato skins.

Always a good time at the Engine House! Management and staff are friendly and accommodating. Our group of 11 was seated in their nice, new, back patio area. Highly recommend asking the host or manager if you can be seated in there when dining as a group. As returning patrons, we appreciate the Engine House tradition of being given jello shots when the train comes along. Choo choo. Thank you. read more
