The food is good if you're looking for a late night or early morning breakfast, we've been here quite a few times since it's convenient for us when we don't wannna cook after work. The ambiance of this place is cozy and friendly nice cute little diner. The service is great and super nice but other than that don't get the chicken lemon rice soup it's not chicken lemon rice soup it's a lie

Pancake with meat Mushroom Swiss Burger with french fries (came out unseasoned, s&p on the table)

In terms of food, this place is a 1/5. Ordered a mushroom swiss burger and got uncooked mushrooms and half melted cheese. Couldnt taste anything but onion, after removing the onion it didn't improve very much either. Plain patty with no seasoning or flavor. My wife got pancakes, i did not taste them but just off appearance i wouldnt of. Palest, saddest, looking pancakes ive ever seen. She says her bacon was 5/5 though. Our Service was standard "coney-island" esq. Come out, take your orders, bring food out, refill drinks once. Dont expect a conversation or to be treated like a customer, the workers are machines to just bring out food. Finally we get to the ambiance. Ive lived in New Haven my whole life, and have seen many places rise and fall around this area. Main street grill gets props for being the cleanest ive ever seen! Clean tables, floors and bathrooms. Cute christmas decor is up right now. MY ONLY GRIPE IS THAT IF YOUR GOING TO LOOP THE SAME CHRISTMAS SONG FOR 30 MINUTES AT LEAST MAKE IT A GOOD ONE!!!

Food served cold TWICE. Eggs raw in omelette once. What's so hard about making sure it's hot before serving it.

Food-wise, it was a mixed bag but mostly good. I ordered a chicken wrap and that was the miss for me. The chicken was kind of shredded and just not great, so I wouldn't order that again. My son got the donut waffle which was fine, but the real standout for the kids was the pancakes. Three big, fluffy pancakes on the kids plate and they were legit good. The fruit sides were excellent too. Fresh berries, not sad afterthought fruit. My husband's omelet looked amazing and made me realize I probably should've stuck with more classic breakfast food instead of a lunch item. Service was friendly and patient. It was a little slow, but it was a busy Saturday morning and it looked like our waitress was covering a whole section by herself. Getting the bill took a bit, but it felt more like opening growing pains than bad service. Overall, great atmosphere, solid breakfast options, and a place I'd totally return to. Next time I'm going full breakfast menu and skipping the wrap for sure.

We walked in and it was very busy. The hostesses were smiling and polite. We asked to sit at the bar and they were happy to accommodate us. Our waitress, April, was an absolute pleasure. She gave us suggests on what to order. We settled on the breakfast burritos and a chicken bacon ranch omelette. We both really enjoyed both. Oh and a delicious homemade cinnamon roll. The portion sizes were huge and we both ended up with large amounts to take home. I also ordered a morning Spritz which was gin, raspberry smash and sparkling wine. It was ok. But I would go with a traditional mimosa next time. I joined the loyalty program as well. We really loved it here and will definitely be back!

Our waitress never came to the table to check to see if we needed more tea. The lemon curd and crème fresh comes in small plastic containers that should never be used at tea. I love visiting tea rooms wherever I travel, and this one is truly special. The scones were some of the best I've ever had, I was thrilled to learn they even ship them to Las Vegas because I'll definitely be ordering more! The cucumber sandwiches were absolutely divine. I could have eaten ten of them. We also enjoyed the Queen's Greens Salad, which was as colorful as it was fresh and flavorful. Our tea selections were wonderful. The chamomile with vanilla and honey was soothing and fragrant, while the Paris black tea with its hint of caramel was rich, smooth, and absolutely delicious. What made the experience even more memorable was the warm, welcoming service. The staff made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The tea room itself is simply charming--a beautiful Victorian home built in 1875, overlooking the water, with so much character and charm. If you're looking for a truly delightful afternoon tea experience, I can't recommend The Pink House Tea Room enough. It was one of the highlights of my trip, and I can't wait to come back!

The ambiance is definitely nice -- it's the kind of place you'd want to sit in, study at, or hang out for a while. But once you actually get to the food and drinks, it's a different story. The service was okay. Everyone was friendly, but it took way too long for my order to come out -- especially considering all I got was avocado toast. And when it finally arrived, it was the blandest avocado toast I've ever had in my life. Zero flavor, no seasoning, nothing special about it at all. Their matcha was honestly bad, just not good at all. The boba was probably the best thing I had, and their coffee was just alright -- nothing worth going out of your way for. Overall, TAP Café feels way overhyped. The vibe is cool, the space is cute, but the food and drinks just don't live up to the aesthetic. If you're going for Instagram pictures or a chill place to sit, it works. If you're going for flavor or quality, it's disappointing.

Ambiance: Nice. Casual with a tiniest bit of upscale. Nice buildout. Service: very friendly. Had the feel of a neighborhood place with better trained serves. Food: Very good! They have a bunch of cute outdoor seating, so we asked to sit out there. Rachel was our server and she was great - very friendly and attentive! I ordered the Avocado Scramble, but I made a couple of modifications. Unfortunately they forgot to address them, but Rachel took care of that right away and the dish was very good. My wife had the Eggs Benedict, her favorite breakfast dish. She said it was very good and she particularly liked the potatoes that came with it. One final note (and this was not reflected in my rating): the seating in the outdoor section is pretty tight and a couple with a large dog was seated next to us. I'm not a big fan of people bringing dogs to restaurants, but if they are well behaved, I can deal with it. Unfortunately, at one point this dog got excited by a dog coming by on the sidewalk and jumped up and started barking at the others dog, just inches away from me. It was quite startling and its owner was not particularly apologetic. With such a confined space, I think this establishment may want to reconsider whether it allows dogs in their outdoor seating area.
