We have not been to this café in a while. We decided to try them again. The food tasted very good and fresh. The coffee was good, but not sure I would get this specific cappuccino again. The spiced brown sugar taste I think is what threw it off. The service staff was extremely helpful and friendly. TAP Café has a chill, aesthetic vibe that honestly seems to be the main thing keeping people coming back. The ambiance is definitely nice -- it's the kind of place you'd want to sit in, study at, or hang out for a while. But once you actually get to the food and drinks, it's a different story. The service was okay. Everyone was friendly, but it took way too long for my order to come out -- especially considering all I got was avocado toast. And when it finally arrived, it was the blandest avocado toast I've ever had in my life. Zero flavor, no seasoning, nothing special about it at all. Their matcha was honestly bad, just not good at all. The boba was probably the best thing I had, and their coffee was just alright -- nothing worth going out of your way for. Overall, TAP Café feels way overhyped. The vibe is cool, the space is cute, but the food and drinks just don't live up to the aesthetic. We were given breakfast menus, and when we came to order at counter, we were told they stopped breakfast and now are serving lunch. UGH. Why were we given breakfast menus? Just a wonderful place to stop for coffee or tea. Has a great menu for a snack or light meal. The food is always fresh and delicious as are the coffees and teas. Fast friendly service and wonderful atmosphere on the side of the Saint Clair river. Highly recommend this place, I try to get there once a week. read more

I was in the area so I decided to stop in and grab a drink. I decided on the coconut caramel latte and it was pretty good. I should've looked for something more coffee forward, I honestly thought coconut and caramel were going to be syrups. I was not expecting a full on Frappuccino. But regardless, it tasted great. I had not said a word about food but was immediately informed the kitchen was closed when I walked in. They've got some interesting items sitting in the cooler and they also have Ashby's ice cream here. The place looks great, it's quite large and you can't beat the view of the water. Stoped in for a quick snack. Got the pretzel sticks and a chi latte. Pretzel sticks were fine. Nothing special. Late was also average. A little too sweet. Would like to go back to try some other things on the menu. Was a good size and lots of room for seating. Atmosphere was also nice. I don't understand why Saint Clair doesn't have just a PLAIN (NOT fancy), fairly priced, SIMPLE SANDWICH SHOP! There's a Subway in town, but I'd prefer something a tiny bit more upscale, like a butcher shop-deli/fresh bread bakery. It's so ez to do. Offer simple sandwiches on freshly baked bread or on {warm crunchy mini rolls -2/3 the length of hot dog buns}... all made fresh daily... i.e.- ham & cheese on rye, roast beef & cheese, hand carved turkey, lettuce, tomato & bacon on freshly toasted bread. 1/3 - 1/2 lb. of GOOD QUALITY fresh meat cooked in store ham, turkey, roast beef. NOT a skimpy meat sandwich containing over-processed, low grade, crappy meats & over processed, highly salted cheeses, served on GIANT OVER SIZED BUNs. I don't want a 'bun sandwich' or a 'bun hamburger'. Price should be anywhere from $6 - $8.50 depending on how much meat is ordered. Tuna fish or egg salad w lettuce on toasted bread $5. I visited this location on a Thursday around lunchtime for a cup of coffee. I ended up purchasing a specialty iced coffee and a personal pizza, actually! Both are delicious! They have a full menu of hot and cold coffee drinks along with smoothies and cheese. Oh also sodas as well. They also serve sliders, personal pizzas, sandwiches, and bakery goods. The pizza is actually pretty delicious. Also the atmosphere is very cool and seems like a comfortable place to hang out for a little bit if you need it to do some work or catch up with friends. There is a parking lot in the back and there is street parking in the front close to the water. Will definitely come back here read more

The Lavender London Fog was very good. Also had breakfast there while visiting from Washington. Had the Avocado toast both times, the Mediterranean was my favorite! My husband had sausage and cheese bagel, also very good! read more

Haven't been here in a year. Came in for coffe and late lunch on a Friday about 230 pm. They said the kitchen was closed but have an extended special menu for trivia night. I ordered half caf coffee blend and a TBS ( Turkey bacon and Swiss) on a toasted Asiago bagel. The coffee was decent enough and the sandwich was just ok. The bagel was rock hard stale and the bacon was just ok. The bagel was toasted but the sandwich ingredients (Turkey, tomato, Mayo, Swiss cheese etc) cold so the sandwich overall was stale and cold. The staff was friendly. It's a nice coffee shop but iffy food makes me think twice about eating here. I would come in again for coffee and dessert. read more
