It started out as a spot that I wanted to try because of the cool name, I ended up going back a second time because of how good everything was. The folks out this way are different in my opinion; the service was very friendly and patient. No one's counting how long it takes you to order so take a look at the entire menu before you decide. I try to stay away from the extra sweet stuff but the almond joy latte caught my eye, I must say it was delicious and worth the sugar high. I also ordered the Viking on a Parmesan bagel. The entire thing looked and tasted fresh and it was delicious. I hope to be in the area as often as I can to try more unique offerings here. read more

If you want a fresh roasted cup of coffee they roast coffee in a small batch (2-3 pounds) roaster all day. Because of the roaster the smell of coffee surrounds the building outside. It's such a cozy, cute place in there. Clean, aesthetic, service is relatively good, and it's a great place to study or do school-work at. Their coffee tastes real, and a good quality. I order whatever's on their seasonal menu. I recently ordered the Apple Pie Chai, which turned out to be amazing. Though I ordered their Maple Pecan Latte, and there was no maple or pecan in it. Such a unique coffee shop with so much character! There are tables, bar style seating, couches and a bigger meeting table so lots of seating to choose from! There's a chess board, books and games! There is also art displayed through out for sale! When it comes to the coffee of course there is so much to choose from! My partner and I love this coffee spot - the staff is wonderful and always so helpful. We're vegan and they always help us out if we're not sure a seasonal drink or pastry is okay for us to try. The baristas have even pointed out honey in some of the drinks, which they've swapped for agave! The staff is awesome! Aside from the fantastic staff, the coffee is great with seasonal & classic menu items and we love the ambience of the whole place. It's a well-designed "underground" vibe, perfect for a casual cup of joe, cute coffee date, and right by the water if you wanna sip and stroll. They also do small discounts for bringing reusable mugs/tumblers, which of course I love as a little vegan - it's a great and easy incentive to reduce paper/plastic waste. If that's not enough, they also rotate local artists' work in the main seating area, which is a wonderful way to support the community and individuals over big corp. This place is wonderful. We were intrigued by the name- and of course our love of coffee. We were recommended to go there by a random stranger on the street. It shares a space with "The Golden Rodent?" Same owner- It's an Art Gallery in front and a CoffeeHouse in back. They have whole beans you can buy or order, to grind. Coffee syrups made with kane sugar ( even coconut) which the boyfriend got. For 20 bucks we got.... 2 Espresso's (Which were served with Chocolate covered Espresso beans) 2 Coffee's to go 1/2 Lb Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans 1 Exquisite Corpse Coffee Mug The atmosphere is wonderful. There is a community Table with good book reads. Small tables lining the walls, old fashioned and nostalgic board games stashed in the book cases for patrons to use. We sat at a coffee bean decorated table, drank our Espresso's, ate our chocolate beans, and then browsed the gallery before grabbing our Coffees to go. Note: they have Raw Sugar, and Stevia as a the alternative. Definitely worth another visit- just for the Espresso. read more

I have been eyeing this coffee shop for a while now, but it is so close to the Raven that I always head to the spot where I know I will be pleased. This weekend we have had the opportunity to be in the area two days in a row, so we took a chance on trying The Exquisite Corpse Coffee House. We will be back. Raven, they give your mochas a run for the money.....and I never imagined These words would leave my mouth as Raven is one of my two all-time favorite mochas. I am a dark chocolate fan and a purist when it comes to coffee and chocolate flavors. The mocha is sweet but tastes like deep chocolate, not syrup or chemicals. The sweetness blends well with the espresso flavor rather than overpowering it. The foam makes it creamy and rich. Perfect. The dark chocolate covered beans are offered to customers as samples with their purchases. You must try them. Get a 1/4 pound bag to go. We have had their sweet potato cookies and muffins. Tasty but not awesome. I do like the freshness and look forward to trying other varieties of baked goods. The shop is very cozy and exquisitely decorated as it blends seamlessly with an art gallery. Very appealing. Wifi available from the shop they own next door. Limited seating. Move over Raven and Caribou. There's a new kid in town. Now one of my top three mochas. read more

We stayed in Port Huron for 3 day to visit family in the area and discovered this eclectic and quaint cafe in downtown Port Huron. We found the staff working each time we came to be very welcoming and helpful in selecting the blend we would enjoy. They REALLY take their time with each customer. We appreciated that. I ordered hot pour over one day and the rest of the days, a latte or an iced coffee. All sugar free and each of them were very much enjoyed and flavors, not masked. We ventured a few doors down to another coffee shop and ended up tossing and coming here instead. No comparison. This place would so well in San Diego...hint hint. ; ) read more

The staff was super helpful when I asked for their recommendation for a single origin coffee, as I usually go for specific roasts. The Brazilian was so good as a pour over, and I also bought a bag of it. I will definitely go back, and highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for local, craft coffee. read more

3.5 Stars - I started with a quick bite at the Raven and decided to check this place out to get something sweet. The cafe has two entrances (one on Huron and one on Water) and a very open feel design with a lot of natural light. Unlike the the Raven, this cafe was more of a true coffee house. There were people of all ages sitting around chatting and there are tons of board games for patrons to use. I ended up getting the sweet potato muffin and a latte. Despite the cool pictures of lattes, my latte came without the fancy designs. I was a bit bummed, but it was still tasty. Overall, a very nice coffeehouse that looks perfect for a after meal drink or for a day of studying. read more

I got to interview them for work, and it was really inspiring to see how much they care about their work. I had to see for myself, so I stopped in for a cup of coffee, and it was impeccable. Maggie told me about how they roast their own beans and what she has learned so far-- and it shows in the product! The coffee here is legit. If you like house roasted, single origin beans, this place is for you. Cool vibe, but not hipster for the sake of being hipster. They do french press and pour over (not sure about other methods.) There are blends, and a full assortment lattes, espressos and teas available as well. I was here to study and kill time; this place seems like a nice place to hang out for the locals. An older man sat behind me and listened to an infomercial for a solid 15 minutes WITHOUT headphones and at full volume. When I passed by him to return my cup and plate I noticed that he had a full page of notes. Aside from that weirdness, this place was great. The coffee was good and available with soy milk, the soup of the day was a vegetarian chili, and the donuts looked great. When the chili was ready, a cute girl brought it over and even apologized for buttering the bread without asking if I was vegan. I am only vegetarian but I really appreciated her dietary knowledge and apology. The bread was kind of hard, like savory biscotti, but it went well dipped into the chili. It's a very nice cafe with vegetarian options, worth a visit. read more

Best latte in port huron! Best interior too. Unfortunately though, they share their wifi with several other businesses, so the signal strength is very very low. I wish they would get their own wifi - then it would be my new spot! So until then, I'll be going elsewhere to get work done. Only 1 type of baked good being served.
