It started out as a spot that I wanted to try because of the cool name, I ended up going back a second time because of how good everything was. The folks out this way are different in my opinion; the service was very friendly and patient. No one's counting how long it takes you to order so take a look at the entire menu before you decide. I try to stay away from the extra sweet stuff but the almond joy latte caught my eye, I must say it was delicious and worth the sugar high. I also ordered the Viking on a Parmesan bagel. The entire thing looked and tasted fresh and it was delicious. I hope to be in the area as often as I can to try more unique offerings here.

What a funky little coffee shop in downtown Port Huron. I regret not reviewing The Exquisite Corpse Coffee House sooner. I forget what I actually ordered but the coffee was good and strong.

THE BEST great roasted coffee beans around, my fav is in the picture. If you can get the beans and grind yourself you won't be disappointed

Such a unique coffee shop with so much character! There are tables, bar style seating, couches and a bigger meeting table so lots of seating to choose from! There's a chess board, books and games! There is also art displayed through out for sale! When it comes to the coffee of course there is so much to choose from! Specialty lattes, coffees and educating you on undertone flavors and where they are from! They also have teas and seasonal drinks! Both baristas were so sweet and busy at work and keeping the place clean! We had a moose tracks and almond joy latte and oh my gosh you just have to try them for yourselves! My moose tracks literally had peanut butter shaken into it!

I really enjoy the fresh roasted coffee offerings here and that it is an independent coffee cafe. That said, two cups of coffee tasted too watery. Prefer a stronger brew with a higher coffee to water ratio.

Delicious lattes served hot! Very tasty! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the products they serve. They were happy to answer questions. Also, this place is very unique and fun on the inside. Check it out!

This place is wonderful. We were intrigued by the name- and of course our love of coffee. We were recommended to go there by a random stranger on the street. It shares a space with "The Golden Rodent?" Same owner- It's an Art Gallery in front and a CoffeeHouse in back. They have whole beans you can buy or order, to grind. Coffee syrups made with kane sugar ( even coconut) which the boyfriend got. For 20 bucks we got.... 2 Espresso's (Which were served with Chocolate covered Espresso beans) 2 Coffee's to go 1/2 Lb Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans 1 Exquisite Corpse Coffee Mug The atmosphere is wonderful. There is a community Table with good book reads. Small tables lining the walls, old fashioned and nostalgic board games stashed in the book cases for patrons to use. We sat at a coffee bean decorated table, drank our Espresso's, ate our chocolate beans, and then browsed the gallery before grabbing our Coffees to go. Note: they have Raw Sugar, and Stevia as a the alternative. Definitely worth another visit- just for the Espresso.

I stumbled across this café while looking for a quiet place to get some work done, and I'm so glad…read moreI did! First of all, the name caught my attention because I'm a huge Edgar Allan Poe fan. I was pleasantly surprised that the Poe theme is clever and subtle rather than overly cheesy. The décor has more of an antique bookstore feel, with fun Poe inspired names throughout the menu. Despite the theme, there's nothing dark or dreary about this place. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the service was prompt. Our waiter was friendly and had some great recommendations. The soup sampler was easily the highlight for me. I've never seen anything like it before! I tried the baja chicken enchilada, mushroom with brie cheese, beef chili with beans, and the special of the month potato curry. I ranked them from favorite to least favorite, but honestly, everything was delicious in its own way. My drink and sandwich with a side of potato salad was very tasty! I finished the whole thing! If you're a Poe fan, the witty menu names will definitely make you smile. The food is good, portions are satisfying, and the prices are reasonable. I'd absolutely come back if I'm ever in the area again to try more of the menu.

Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of the building, the upstairs seating area is only accessible by stairs. Quaint, charming café that serves lunchtime treats, coffee, and pastries. The hot cocoa is divine! I really like the literary/"dark academia" vibes and decor, as well as the many cute birdie knick-knacks roosting about the space. Service was friendly and unrushed, I felt free to linger and enjoy at my leisure. I will make it a point to stop in here whenever I pass through Port Huron! I dropped in during the week and there was zero-wait for a table, although I imagine the place probably bustles on weekends!

This is a cozy, no-frills place with quite a few booths (that are comfy!) and a high ornate roof. I…read morelike that the tables were not cluttered close together and so it would be a great, not-too-noisy place for conversation and working. However, some of the booth seats seemed a little old and torn, and the window area by the booth seemed a little dusty, like it could be neatened up more often. Other than that, we really liked this place though. First, the service was warm and excellent. The staff were great at answering questions about the menu and giving recommendations. Next, the chocolate butter tart was excellent! There are two options of butter tarts (a particularly Canadian treat), a plain one and a chocolate one. Having consulted a server, they highly recommended the chocolate butter tart for chocolate-lovers. The tart sides were delicious, and similar in texture to an egg tart. The inside was gooey and almost like chocolate sauce with a rich buttery base. The inside sauce really reminded me of a Chinese bun we love in Singapore, the liu sha bao or salted egg yolk custard bun. All in all, I highly recommend the chocolate tart for a small but punchy pop of decadence, and it goes perfect to complement with a cup of coffee. Other than that, the peppermint latte was wonderfully decorated according to my peppermint-loving friend (although another said it was definitely on the sweet side). Meanwhile, although my plain latte did not have the best latte art, staff proactively offered to add a variety of powdered toppings (cinnamon, cocoa and nutmeg) that put a smile to my face. All in all, it's a great place to chill and relax if you're not too fussy about everything being perfectly spic and span. As I said to my friends, sipping my coffee with my chocolate butter tart, "this is the life!"

I've come to Mexico twice now and it delivered both times…read more I don't have any photos of the first time, but my partner and I shared five of the six taco options, and by far my favourite were the pork belly and the Chicken Tinga. The second time I came with some coworkers and I had one of the margaritas. It had pineapple juice in it, but I can't remember what it was called... It was just recommended by the server and she was definitely on the nose with that one. Taquitos are good; I liked the beef over the chicken. And I had the salmon plate when I came back I don't know if I would get it again, it was just OK and I don't know if it was worth the price. Overall a very fun place to eat, top-tier for Sarnia. Good vibes, good drinks, good food, great service! Just a little more on the expensive side for someone on a student budget

I'm not sure which aspect of this experience was worse--the food, the drinks, or the service…read more We arrived at about 7:30pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was nearly empty, though it didn't close for a few more hours. We seated ourselves and waited. And waited. After about 15 minutes, a server shows up and gives us menus. We looked over the drink and dinner menus and made our selections--but they weren't going to be taken for nearly 30 minutes. We placed our drink orders (classic margarita and the La Paloma). After 15 more minutes, our drinks arrived. The drinks were mediocre--at best. The classic margarita was essentially a glass of lime juice with half a shot of tequila; the Paloma was the same, but with grapefruit juice. $12 CDN each. The next time we saw our server was another 15 minutes later when our chips and guacamole arrived. The chips were nice and salty; the guacamole portion was extraordinarily small (about an ice cream scoop size) for $10 CDN. With the arrival of the guacamole, we were finally able to place our meal order. They were out of chicken, so we settled on two crispy pork belly tacos, one carne asada taco, and a pescado taco. $6 CDN each. A full thirty minutes later, our food had not yet arrived. Our drinks were empty (there was only one other party in the restaurant at this time). I walked to the bar with my empty glasses to place two more drink orders: the passion cocktail (tequila, banana, cranberry, and orange were supposed to be the primary flavors) and the Envy (a margarita with blue curaçao). At this point of the evening, it's now nearly 9:15PM. We've been in the restaurant for over an hour. Our second order of drinks and 4 tacos finally arrive. Gross is all I can say. - All tacos shared the same stale-tasting, rusty cabbage. It's like the half-off prepackaged slaw mix you buy at the grocery store tossed with a light vinaigrette. - The fish tasted... fishy. Fishy tasting fish is never a good sign. I probably should have looked at the crowd and determined that there wasn't enough turnover to order the fish. Two bites and I tap out on the fish taco. - The carne asada was not that. Instead of being the traditionally marinated and grilled strips of steak that I'm used to at other restaurants, it was essentially stringy, water-logged pot roast. - The pork belly tacos were neither crispy nor flavorful. They tested more like baked pork chop with a hint of bacon. They were dressed with the same slaw mixture as the other tacos. After tasting the Passion cocktail, we asked the waitress if there had been an error. Banana has an unmistakeable taste; the lack of it is quite noticeable. Cranberry juice is red. The fact that this drink was neither reddish-pink or had even the faintest hint of banana told us otherwise. It was the same drink as "the classic." The Envy was at least blue. It was undrinkable, but the color was at least correct. After nearly 2 hours of waiting and shit service, we paid and left nearly all our food uneaten. We walked around the corner to Bad Dog and had a second dinner.
