We were so grateful to find these guys! They gave us great advice and offered amazing, fast service for a fraction of the cost you'll find elsewhere. When our car mysteriously and randomly wasn't starting, we took it in to be checked out. Unable to find anything at first, they told us what they suspected (a dying starter) and didn't charge a penny. When our starter eventually gave up the ghost we took it back to them for a replacement and they had our car ready within a few hours! I hate to be giving this place such a good review cause I don't want them to get so busy they can't get me in their schedule when I need help again haha. But my engine light turned on one morning and after calling a number of other businesses (they all said things like, "Can't get you in until next week Thursday" or "It'll take $150 just to diagnose your car") I called up Engine Dynamics and the man just said, "Yeah bring it in after we get back from lunch and I'll take a look at it." When I got there and he looked at it, which only took a few minutes, he told me what was wrong and that I should go get Sea Foam to clean my engine out and that if the light didn't go out that I should come right back in and he'd replace the part. I had a head gasket blow on my way into Provo from Colorado for what I thought would be a short visit with my family. After weighing my options and calling many shops in the area I decided to put a new engine in my van and have Engine Dynamics do the work. Robert explained the process and cost and the work moved forward and all seemed well. After picking up the van and attempting to drive it home it began to overheat. I brought it back and Robert and his two sons Mitch and Tony did everything they could to get things running perfectly. It turned into a bit of a fiasco and took weeks to Iron everything out. The engine had over 215,000 miles on it and the vehicle needed many other repairs. Never did they get angry or annoyed by the frustration of the situation. They bent over backwards and went far beyond what any other shop would do to get me back on the road back home with what limited funds I had left. Robert and his Son's are excellent mechanics but also honest, kind and decent people you can trust. They charge much less and do more for you than any other shop I've ever dealt with and I've dealt with many. I'm grateful to be home and grateful for the hard work and extra mile Robert, Mitch and Tony did for me. I would now like to take the time to leave a thankful and most appreciative review of Engine Dynamics in Provo Utah. A quick back story to give you an idea of my desperation. July 24th My Father, Brother, My two Daughter and I set off from Temecula, Ca. for a 16 Day Jeep trip down the Continental divide Trail (From Canada to Mexico on dirt trails)......it is an epic journey through some of the most beautiful country we have! DAY 1- my Jeep a 99 Cherokee 4.0L had overheating issues. My brother and I began replacing parts on the side of the road at what seemed to be every exit from Barstow to Cedar City, Utah . DAY 2- I limped the jeep into Provo and spoke to a guy about recommending a shop to look at diagnosing the last issue I believed was causing the overheating (the head gasket). He quickly recommended ENGINE DYNAMICS. With our 16 day epic journey in jeopardy I showed up at ENGINE DYNAMICS as soon as they opened. Here begins my review- The owner, was friendly and professional. He was very understanding of our situation. In fact his Sons (who also work in the shop) are Jeep Guys!!!! The owner told me that he would do all that they could to get us back on the trail. They jumped on my jeep, diagnosed the issue (the head gasket), sent the head for testing and to be milled, and buttoned it up in 24 hours. ENGINE DYNAMICS got us back on the road in record time! I joked that they could be a #Bajapitcrew. The Jeep ran like a champ the whole trip. Overall, the shop is small you might even pass it while looking for it. It is an unassuming older building. But, inside you'll find....three awesome, respectful, professional mechanics. They truly are concerned with doing what's best for you and your vehicle. I work at a mechanic shop in Arkansas so I'm fairly proficient at diagnosing a problem with my car. After going to another shop and having them fight me about what the problem with my car was I brought it here and they quickly came to the same conclusion after cycling through the AC and noticing that the car would almost shut down whenever the AC compressor would kick on. They showed and explained exactly what was wrong and what they did to fix it. They did not fix what was not necessary but did fix was was going to cause me problems in the future. At first we were careful since it was a smaller shop than the bigger ones around our house, but we soon realized that Robert and his boys really do go ABOVE and beyond what any other mechanic has ever done for me. I've gone to several other mechanics over the years and found a few good ones and several not so good. Now I've found Robert at Engine Dynamics and he is the BEST. My daughter's car threw a rod and destroyed the engine. We checked several mechanics and heard everything from it couldn't be fixed to it wasn't worth fixing to it would be over $4,000. She was heartbroken and then someone suggested we call Rob at Engine Dynamics. Within a few weeks Rob found her an engine with really low miles, replaced the engine and got her back on the road for half what the next lowest bid was. Her car as never run better.
