The employee diagnosed my problem and told me what I needed and nearly rang up the part. He told me how easy it was to do "But check it out on YouTube first". I had to run home for something and told him I'd be back for the part after I checked out Youtube. Turns out, the part he indicated wasn't the issue, but a part connected to that part was. Big crack in a hose that went to the recommended part (Emission Vapor Hose). When I went back to get the part, they, unfortunately, didn't have it in stock and it would've been some days until they got it in. He gave me a recommendation on where to grab it. Kind of like "Miracle on 34th Street"- "We don't have it, but you might try Gimball's". I found the part and got it installed easily and my car's now running fine. The clerk didn't have to do that, but it was very cool of him to do so. To the Mgr.: while this might've meant a sale for you guys, it gained even more customer loyalty from me. That is commendable. This store has always had great employees and I've dealt with them pretty much since they moved into the Thomas Lake Albertsons (now Safeway) lot. They always have what I need, and if they don't, they'll tell me where to get it. In 2026 where so many places don't have service to write home about, these guys do. Thanks O'Reilly!

The adaptor was $7.68 and it is not as strong as the ones made for impact guns. The parking lot is a little small. The parking lot for the auto zone down the street is much easier to find parking in. Advanced auto parts on evergreen way has a huge parking lot. So if you have to tinker with your car a little, that one has plenty of space. I forgot my wallet! But luckily I was able to pay with Apple Pay, thank goodness.

I had just bought the car from a private seller and unbeknownst to me, it had only one working light (yes, I know, I should have checked, so there's a free PSA). Anyhow, we got to AutoZone about an hour before closing and we were helped by Paul. I fully expected to just pick up the lights and we would install them ourselves. Paul generously offered to help with the install of everything! Because I had three bulbs out, it took a good amount of time. It was cold, and dark, but Paul was really kind about it. He was friendly and as he helped us out, he shared how much he enjoyed working on cars, coming from a long line of mechanics. Really, he went above and beyond helping us out. It looks like AutoZone supports their team members with Professional Training -- get this man a mechanic's license! I ordered 3 item and had the expectation that it would be ready within the hour or so. Well, that didn't happen, and it was getting close to me having other errands that I needed to get to that morning. I decided that I've put off hitting the road waiting on Autozone, to get my order ready. So I decided that I would pop into the AutoZone to see if my order was ready, even though I never received a confirmation. I entered the store, greeted aggressively, and explained that I placed an online order, prepaid for pick up. This is 2:00 PM mind you, He then get in the computer, verifies my order and then precedes to fill it, only after I just showed up. This tells me, that the online orders aren't an inclining of a priority, nor was there an acknowledgement of the 3 hrs of the order being place, and fulfilled only because I actually came into the store to get what I paid for. Of course, I received that confirmation email that my order was ready for pickup after I showed up to retrieve my purchase.
