This place has a great atmosphere with quality coffee and good service. I will be going back again not only due to these things but also for the reasonable price! In the summer they have a river side view and events going on what seems like a weekly/monthly basis. They even sell unique sauces jewelry and T-shirts! read more

Endiro Coffee - Captures Sandwich with the Ugandan take on fries! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Aurora, Illinois

The coffee is fantastic but the food service is spotty. Sometimes seem they don't have enough staff to keep up with orders

Really great coffee, just one small issue... First, the positives: The coffee was great. It was smooth, rich, creamy, and didn't taste burnt like Starbucks sometimes does. The barista explained how their beans were fair trade and they have their own direct farmers, which is great. Prices were fair, I wouldn't say it cost any more than Starbucks, in fact maybe even cheaper. The staff was friendly and inviting and the atmosphere was nice. Problem: I went to the cafe to get a regular mocha for my mom and I, and I wanted to get a sugar free mocha for my type 1 diabetic brother. I was hoping, like at other cafe's, they would have a few sugar free syrups so my brother could partake. Unfortunately, when I went in, there were no sugar free syrups, only some sugar free packets. So, I ordered a cappuccino and added sugar free packets to it. It was still good coffee, but not as chocolatey and sweet like a mocha. The barista was accommodating and told me the store is fairly new and that they would talk to their boss about offering sugar free syrups in the future. I really hope this happens. Diabetes is becoming more of a problem nowadays. Everyone I know has a family member with diabetes. And people with diabetes obviously need to monitor their carb intake, but when carb intake is carefully monitored, diabetics can still enjoy some sweets. My brother loves mochas, he had a long day, and it sucked when they didn't have any sugar free chocolate syrup. If there was a sugar free option he would have been able to enjoy a rich, chocolatey mocha while staying under his carb limit. He still liked his cappuccino, but I could tell he was disappointed a bit. My suggestion would be to bring in some sugar free options. Sugar free chocolate syrup, and some sugar free coffee flavoring syrups like hazelnut and vanilla. I know buying more product isn't cheap, but I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated and attract more customers. Not only diabetics, but anyone watching their sugar intake. I hope to return in a few weeks and enjoy more coffee, hoping to see some sugar free options for my brother and others like him. read more

Great atmosphere. There is room upstairs and downstairs i. Can't wait to eat here in summer alongside the river. Service was friendly . My Americano had great flavor. The Aurora Cheesesteak sandwich was tasty and fresh. Balsamic dressing on the salad was delicious. I will be back. Thank you for complimentary Snickerdoodles. I'll begin this off on an awesome not & say the coffee & food I did receive was absolutely amazing. Vibe on the inside is very neat & nothing like anywhere you can find nearby. Always open to support a small business. However my big gripe with this place was my service was god awful. It took about half an hour before we received our order & 20 minutes before that to have someone talk to us. If this place would like to grow & flourish the biggest improvement tip I can provide to you guys would to be improve the speediness of service without sacrificing quality. read more

Upcycled, comfy and delicious coffee spot. I had the steak and eggs, cappuccino and pumpkin spice muffin. I can see myself coming here to hang out and chat over coffee. You can easily come here with clients for a good brew and have the option to grab a real meal as well. If you like bacon, give the bacon topping a try on some toast. I will be back for that for sure. They appear to be outdoor pet friendly as well. I Will take them up on that with my Labrador in a couple weeks. read more

This brand new café is going to be phenomenal! Their soft opening was just on Friday and they are still training staff and tweaking their menu. their staff were super friendly and considerate. Their coffee was really very classy, and tastefully presented. they sold out of the sandwich I ordered, so give them a little grace as they work through the quirks of opening full time. this is going to be the new hot spot for coffee or a nice meal in downtown aurora! read more

Love this lil gem downtown Aurora. It's about what they stand for and vision to help the farmers of Uganda, the children, mothers and fathers. Coffee was good. The place is two floors very home feeling and inviting. I think the sign needs to be a brighter color so we can see in the morning. Our barista Jane was wonderful, informative and kind, she was immersed in her job as well as the vision. We will be coming again :) read more

I like what they're about, I like how they donate, I just wasn't crazy about the food or coffee. Iced coffee a was too bitter like it had been over steeped, food was ok. You might really enjoy it but it was just ok for me. Decor and atmosphere is great so it's a nice place to meet someone. read more

They forgot to put coffee in my coffee. I ordered a cafe mocha with coconut milk. 20 minutes later I got my drink and immediately knew that there was no espresso. I had received chocolate milk. They agreed that there was no espresso in my drink, and made me a new drink, this time with regular milk. I had been there for so long that I didn't feel like asking for another drink. Endiro is usually my favorite spot, but today they let me down. read more

I've heard a lot of good things about Endiro -- and for the most part I'd say they live up to the hype. I stopped by for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It's a very quaint little place in downtown Aurora. The aesthetic and general vibe is very pleasing. When I entered I was asked if I was dining in or taking out and then told I could take a seat anywhere and that there was also more seating a floor down. I decided upon the lower level patio, as it has a pleasant view of the river and was breezier. My waitress was very kind, although she did not give me her name. The service could have been a bit faster, but it was during lunchtime so I wasn't terribly upset with the wait. I decided upon an aeropress coffee, which wasn't very hot when it was served to me. I also ordered the avocado toast with an egg. It was delicious, but also room temperature when I received it. Perhaps this was because I chose to sit on the lower level patio and it took a bit longer to bring down my order. I do plan to return and I will probably sit inside upstairs and hope that the food and coffee is hot. read more

Haven't gotten a chance to try the food yet but the coffee was amazing! It's a bit tight of a space but airy & bright with the big windows on the first floor. We will definitely be back! read more

Endiro Coffee - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Aurora, Illinois

I LOVE the layout of this coffee shop! What a great location being right off of the fox river. There's an upstairs and a downstairs seating area. Along with a deck and a patio for outdoor seating. There is plenty of room for privacy and some peace and quiet. The coffee was great also. I had a Nepali style chai latte. This is fitting due to the large population of Nepali refugees in Aurora. The latte had just enough spice and sugar to it. They also roast the coffee in house which is always a good sign as long as they know how to profile roast for the specific single origin coffee. This is a place that I will be revisiting in the near future with some friends. What a great addition to downtown Aurora. read more

We wanted to try Endiro, as we've been by a few times and it smelled good. We went for breakfast as we both had the day off, and it was beautiful so we chose to sit outside. We opted for a couple of regular coffees, and were disappointed when they were both quite chilly when we got them, but drank anyway. We ordered our breakfast and waited quite a long time....about 20 minutes, and never saw the waitress in the meantime. We weren't in a rush, so wasn't a big deal, and we were the only ones downstairs, so it was peaceful. Sadly, both meals arrived cold. He had steak, I had waffles and eggs. My eggs were like ice. We aren't complainers, but it wasn't a busy day, so were in shock, and chose to eat anyway. However, we definitely won't be returning. Tremendously disappointed. read more

I love the idea behind the fair trade mission. Their staff are very friendly, and their coffee is very good. They have a great caramel latte. The sandwiches are nice too. I like to sit in the lounge area with the couches and the coffee bar. It's not meant to be Starbucks, so keep in mind it takes longer to get your coffee, but it's worth it. I also got a complementary snicker doodle with my coffee. You can taste the difference! read more

They had a yummy tasty latte and I love the cute cafe cups it was served in. The ambiance was nice and the waitress was friendly as well.

I've gone here several times and the food and coffee are always quite good. The service, sadly, is almost always terrible. Slow, like ten minutes to bring you a menu slow, sometimes friendly, sometimes not so friendly. It's hard to tell if it's under-staffed, poor training, or both. The outdoor tables upstairs are in bad shape and the outdoor tables downstairs are cheap and rickety. It's such a pretty spot, management should upgrade the outdoor seating. The inside space is quite nice though. A couple of weeks ago it took an hour to get a Rolex (egg burrito) and a juice. I asked for hot sauce three times before going inside and getting it myself. Go for the food, but not when you're in a hurry, and don't expect stellar service. read more

Funky little place. Endiro Coffee started in Uganda a few years ago. They have three locations there and Aurora is the first one in the United States. Friendly staff and good service. Was a regular here for quite some time, spending almost every morning here for one or several espressos. Unlike a lot of modern coffee shops' sour espressos (fruity beans are only good for pourovers) this place has a rich and 'normal' tasting old-world espresso. Seating is clean and loved working in the basement and springtime by the patio right at the riverside. All staff are friendly and hardworking. Moved away last year and I miss this place every day. The coffee shops in the bay area do not even hold an inch of ground compared to this place. read more

I was staying in Aurora for a few days on a job. I didn't get to see enough of the town to give a fair assessment, but I was lucky enough to be staying near to this cafe called Endiro. I made a few trips in the mornings, getting myself a few drinks, as well as drinks for co-workers. The coffee is direct from Uganda, as is the proprietor. In addition to the very good coffee offered (I only had coffee, so can't speak to the other drinks), she curates a selection of Ugandan collectibles, Ugandan honeys. Jewelry and other things. It's such a cool little shop you'll just want to peruse as you drink. But the kicker is that they serve hot food, prepared right here. It's far better than your average coffee shop, but isn't pretentious or overdone. It's just cozy, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food menu makes you want to stay longer. I had a portobello mushroom sandwich with a coffee balsamic. It was absolutely delicious, topped with a cherry pepper. I love cherry peppers. This place is a gem. If you're in the area, it's a very worthwhile stop. read more

Moved downtown a year or so ago and have been trying everywhere. Been to endiro maybe 6-7 times and they never satisfy, their chocolate milkshakes are just cold chocolate milk, and for an iced chai. they steep a teabag then put it over ice ?????????? Came here for scrambled eggs and it was just watery. Not going to be visiting again, gave it too many tries. read more

Luke warm, at best! My wife and I were excited that we had a new coffee shop in town, and decided to check it out after the gym on Saturday morning. We liked the the effort at the upbeat and trendy motif, as when we walked in. Our hostess, who was also to be our server, ask if we were staying or taking this to go... I just walked in the door and told you this was a first time here, gimme a minute! We decided to stay and she said to sit anywhere and the menu was on the table (note: there is one little menu on the table...prepare to read it one at a time). There was a big blackboard on the wall when you walked in, that I thought would have been the menu, but I don't remember seeing and prices on it, and at this time, I don't know what the heck it was. We sat and ordered breakfast (combo plate and coffee for me, eggs and toast and a Mango Jungle smoothie for her), and took in the scenery. Ok, so lets get to it...Be advised that they are taking after European styling, so a cup of coffee is not a cup of coffee, it's an Americano!, and its a pressed coffee not a automatic drip coffee so don't expect it to be hot when served. Mine sure wasn't, and I saw when the barista placed it on the counter for our less-than-happy server to bring it over with the smoothie that had already been sitting for a few minutes. I guess when you spend $3 for a cup of coffee, just coffee nothing else, you'd expect more....not the case. Flavor was average, temperature was the better side of warm, but not hot by any means...I expected better from a coffee shop, especially that roasts their own. Food is severed! The wife said it best as "the toast is stale bread, and you got a floppy waffle". It's true the toast was cold and might as well have been just stale bread. And my flop-affle wasn't any warmer. The sausage was overcooked and may have actually been a poker chip from the casino across the way. The eggs were unappealing. She said the smoothie had too much banana and she couldn't taste the pineapple. But, the bacon was decent. Knowing that this was a coffee shop and not a restaurant, I didn't dare ask Suzy Sunshine for a refill on the coffee. Overall, not a great experience. Really was hoping for better. Oh, and I almost forgot the loud, screaming music over our heads, that we had to talk over just to hear each other... read more
