Oak + Bean (which I keep wanting to call Oak + Brew) is located in the quaint downtown of Oswego. There's a parking garage nearby, which is very convenient. There aren't really any fun shops nearby, but there is a very nice park just a short walk away. That's a nice place to enjoy your coffee, although the interior of Oak + Bean is very nice. Plenty of seating inside with nice chairs, plus outdoor seating. We ordered a cappuccino and an iced ube latte. The cappuccino was served a bit hotter than normal, so I had to be patient before sipping. However, the milk foam was great, and the coffee tasted pretty good as well. My wife enjoyed the ube latte. Pricing was reasonable and service was friendly.

Great coffee, and the bacon Gouda breakfast sandwich is awesome! Also a nice selection of wines in the afternoon or evening (or even morning if that's your thing). Local owned business, friendly staff.

What a nice surprise in Oswego tonight. Went for the Wednesday night wine tasting and was introduced to a rose that was offered at $7 for their Happy Hour. Great menu as well, the fresh pasta on the Caprese with egg sandwich was sublime. Will be going back for breakfast to try their coffee. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable about the wine. Great mix of seats, free wifi and outdoor seats.

Chill coffee-house vibe with bar seating. Friendly service with wide seating area. Solid food options with gluten free alternatives. Cleanly environment, but it does have gnats inside

Goat-Spinach sandwich- the pesto is great!

Love having this coffee shop in town! The French Madeline latte is so delicious. It's on the sweeter side but it's so velvety smooth and tastes just like a madeline. I tried the goat cheese spinach egg sandwich and it's really good. The pesto tastes great and bright and is a great option that feels both healthy and indulgent. Service is always friendly and it's a cute space.

Love that there's a coffeeshop in downtown Oswego with a lot of open space inside and plenty of seating. Their mocha latte is delicious, and they have a variety of alternative milks. I tried their goat and spinach sandwich (w/o tomato) and loved it! Great space to come with a group and chill or come by yourself and do work!

Had some time to kill before church. Wanted to sit in a coffee shop to enjoy the morning sun while getting my coffee fix. Remembered this place was near where I was at and decided to come check them out. I was helped out right away and my order was taken immediately. Coffee, a muffin and a relaxing and cool vibe. Exactly what I wanted. I ordered an iced vanilla lavender latte. It was delicious. My coffee was strong and it had a hint of sweetness. Exactly how I like my coffee. The banana and chocolate muffin was delicious. They warmed it up and the chocolate chips melted into gooey goodness. The shop is bright and airy. I had no idea that they are also a wine bar. I will go back for happy hour during the week and can't wait until it's warm enough to sit outside.

Love it!!! Wonder space & while it's January I want to come back in the spring when they roll up the "garage doors" that frame the building. Lovely spot to have a cup of tea and chat w a friend. The space is very comfortable and service is excellent!!

Amazing coffee and wine! This place is cozy and welcoming. The coffee is delicious and I love how wide the opening to the lid is. Service is always quick and polite. I have t tried the food, yet, but it looks so good. They also have a happy hour, live music and tasting.

This is our books club's regular meeting spot. Whether we order wine, tea, or food, it is always delicious. The baristas are friendly and efficient. The strawberry iced tea is a favorite. The avocado toast is a great portion, and you can also get it with pistachios! I had a big bagel with cream cheese tonight, and it hit the spot! It's a perfect place to meet for a nice conversation or a quick cup of joe. If you are in the area, check it out! Convenient parking in the parking structure right behind.

If you're looking for cool and unique, this is the place to go for a cup of coffee or for more. The service was outstanding very friendly staff and the ambience was just very very cool. Easy to find close to other businesses great coffee and a nice stop when you're in town.

This place is great! Wonderful place to get together with a friend to grab coffee, tea, or even wine. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about the options. 2 items were new on the menu. Honey Lavender Latte with Macadamia milk and I had a sweet roll. Let me say, when you have the option of Macadamia milk this is not your average place. Definitely a gem in the area. Would recommend to check out and enjoy! Cant wait to go back!

We sat on the patio, they have shaded or sun and lots of tables. I had the Chardonnay and it was really good! We had the smoked salmon appetizer and the potato skewers. I'm not a fan of salmon, but with the sauce they provide, it was doable. The potatoes were so good, crispy on the outside, but they explode into creaminess when you bite them. We didn't have them this time, but the calamari appetizer is my favorite! We were having such a good time, we decided to stay for dinner. I had the Coq au vin and loved it. I usually get the Beef bourguignon because that is also really good. My husband had that and it did not disappoint. Service was great, as always! One of the best restaurants in Geneva.

Time was (in the not-too-distant past) you had to go downtown to have an upscale or…read moreoff-the-beaten-path dinner. You know, when parking was less than a car payment? It took a number of years but enterprising restauranteurs laid claim to appropriate buildings and neighborhoods opening places where you could actually get something interesting to eat. Hell, even BERWYN has a fine-dining joint (or 2)! The "3rd Street" corridor in Batavia is prima facie evidence this crusade is thriving, as there are a BUNCH of great places on that Rue to stuff your face in style, (and drink accordingly.) We've been working our way down the street; as I have been in the mood for French, Le Cochon was high on the list. It was late afternoon when I and a foodie pal of mine visited. The rooms were at once light, open and airy, yet personal. The bar was adjacent and it looked heroically stocked. The waiter was personable and pleasant. The menu shouted "Bistro", and actually was sort of irritating, 'cos even after poring over it online before, everything looked so good I couldn't make up my mind! But rules are rules, and I have mine. When I go into a place for the first time, I always try to get the specialty of the house. As this is a "bistro" I finally swung with the Escargot and Steak Frites. Cliche'd, I know, but c'est le cuisine. My pal bucked tradition and went with a Burger. I should say here the house is known for a Pork Belly dish, but Belly of Pork (unless it's cured into Bacon) is a protein I will not eat. There's not much I won't stuff down my gullet, but Pork Belly is one. I just don't like that much fat. The good news? More for YOU! But I digress... The 'Scargots were classic in prep and top-notch in quality. As expected there was a lagniappe course in sopping pieces of the excellent baguette provided from the bread service in the garlicky butter remaining after munching the snails. It was a Hanger Steak wot arrived on my plate replete with an herb-y compound butter. I ordered the steak "Rare-Bleu", and it was the perfect temp, even with serious char marking. The steak was chunk-cut when served. I blessed the chef for seasoning the steak deftly. The Frites came with ketchup and aioli, they were great. There was nothing out of the ordinary about my pals burger, but he IS a knowledgeable foodie and reported it was delicious. Burgers are pretty easy to do, but to get one of championship quality takes skill. Notable were the two rashers of excellent, thick Bacon hanging over the sides of the sandwich. The chef here hit the mark! The Predominantly French WineList is dizzying expensive for bottles. My pal is an experienced oenophile and says the list shows care, but Oy! the prices! He's a very successful businessman, and even HE thought the prices were high. In contrast, the "per glass" prices were normal. LeCochon IS in a posh neighborhood, after all. I had a glass of Rhône blend which was hand-in-glove with my steak. Flavors outasite! Fine coffee and a classic Crème Brûlée for afters. I know somewhere behind the bar they prolly had a Calvados, which would have topped the meal off with a gold ribbon, but I was driving, and there are many miles between LeCochon and Stately Breakwind Manor. A wonderful feed, and a surprisingly good value considering the high quality. I'll bet that "light and airy" vibe turns quite romantic after dark; but know the tables are actually quite cozy together. There are a few booths available-try to snarf one of those if you're on a date. Throwing 5 for this super boîte. Eat here soon!

It was 5:45, I didn't have a reservation, a they didn't have a table available until 7:30 but there were spots at the bar which they said was full service. My friend and I cozied up to it and ate there. What a surprisingly good experience. The staff was super friendly and that bartenders had great suggestions. I hate when people at the restaurant say everything is good. Not these young ladies. They made some sound suggestions which we followed. French onion soup and the steak frites were both excellent and priced well IMO. They have a really good whiskey/bourbon selection with a few hard to find bottles. I settled on a Blantons neat. They had Pappy, but I'm not wasting money on that anymore. Food came out quickly and we ate and watched a baseball game. The locals at the bar told us about their membership program where I guess for a small mo they fee you get a bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate once a month. Seemed like a pretty good deal. I don't live anywhere near there, but if I did I'd certainly join. In any case, if you live anywhere close, this is definitely a worthwhile restaurant to visit. Seems like there were quite a few singles there as well if you are looking to meet someone. I have no idea what the dating scene is like in Lemont, but this might be a good spot to try.
