I wanted to go to a nightclub for my birthday since it had been a while and stumbled upon this new club that's located off College St. In uptown. I decided to get a table as I heard and read reviews from other people that it does get crowded, so to be more comfortable, a table would be a better option. I'm so glad I did! First off, we arrived a little before 11 p.m., and there was no line outside. The outside does have some palm trees, which gives it a Miami feel to it. We walked up to the "host" stand, Gabe them my info, and let them know we had a table. She was super sweet and nice. Our table was right in the center and across from the DJ booth, which I loved because we were able yo see the whole club from our location and be in the middle of everything. The table was super spacious, and I loved how the club was decorated. Lights everywhere and sometimes when they would play a song, the music videos would be playing all around the club, which I thought was cool. Our bottle girl was super nice and attentive, and she made sure I had a blast and took care of every detail. Towards the end of the night, though, it did get super busy, so we lost her for a while, but it wasn't a big deal. Now, this club does have a small dance floor that gets extremely packed, so I do recommend that if you want to have your space and be comfortable, a table is the way to do it. They offer table service on the dance floor also. There is a parking garage right beside the club, so you don't have to park far and some on the street if you find a spot. Now this is a more EDM, hip pop, pop club so if it isn't your taste in music you probably would not enjoy it. I definitely will be back for sure.

But really want to point out the staff and how attentive they were and how friendly they were. It was a cold night and they were efficient in getting everyone in safely and were knowledgeable when providing menu recommendations and setting expectations. The venue does provide a more intimate setting. There is more standing room than seating. So be aware of that when you book gen admission vs. any premium or VIP package that may be offered by the artist/venue.

The guy even explained that he wanted to meet the band after and have them sign his poster. Too bad. They sent various other people back to their cars for other minor things too. It did not make sense or make us feel any safer. It just made going to a show feel like a chore. Once we were inside we all wanted to grab a beer. This is definitely not the place to do that! They had about 5 beers to choose from all of which I would never ever drink nor would anyone else in our group which is saying a lot because we all have pretty diverse tastes. All of the beers were like $18, even the garbage beers. I expect that price as we pay $19/beer at the hockey games but the arena offers a great selection. I'll pay $19 for a good beer. I saved lots of money at The Underground since they don't have any beer worth drinking. The bartenders at the bar on the left were not friendly and not interested in answering any questions. We ventured to the bar on the right and a few of us ordered mixed drinks.

We came for a house music show on a Saturday night, on the earlier side to check everything out. The bouncer and security staff were super nice - they were hospitable to everyone in the line as far as I could tell. They didn't really pad us down but we weren't wearing any baggy or loose clothes or had bags with us. I assume security eyeballs guests and makes situational calls. The inside was spacious and clean. The bathrooms were always attended to. The floor was a bit sticky initially but i think that was fixed before crowds rolled in. When some people spilled beer, the staff immediately came and cleaned. We felt safe with security staff in eyeshot. The music reproduction quality is OK; I think the crowd has a tendency to talk loudly and the volume should be balanced against that, but for the headliner, everything sounded great. Could use more emphasis on higher than bass frequency, but I'll take a solid bassline anyday. I did not feel the need to wear earplugs like some NY venues, probably due to the smaller size of this one. The lights are awesome, if a bit on the intense side since they are just above the stage, aimed at the floor. I would wear sunglasses next time to give my eyes a break. The bartenders were quick and attentive. One issue: they tried to swipe my chip-cards to open tabs (we tried a couple) and those were blocked by our banks for security purposes. Those cards should be chipped for payment gateway acceptance - hopefully the point of sale can support that. Closing each tab everytime worked fine, though, and the bartender did not embarrass us with the decline card response - we noticed others at the bar had the same issues. The outdoor space is super nice. Everyone was dressed casual but clean - and no one smelled bad or was unfriendly/aggressive. We will definitely continue coming back here for performers we like - please keep bringing in great house and techno producers!

While we were there, a guy was harassing my female friend for about 5 minutes with no security anywhere. A random male had to step in just to stop it, and then the two guys started fighting. Security didn't do a single thing -- WE HAD TO TRACK THEM DOWN OURSELVES, and when we finally found one, she was just standing by the bathroom doing NOTHING. The short female security with a white stud was extremely rude, clearly didn't know the policies, and took my vape even though I'm 22, not even letting me take it to my car -- something that's never happened to me before. Meanwhile, right after, I saw a dude hitting his and another group smoking a blunt inside the club. They pick and choose who they enforce rules on -- personally, I've gotten free shots from the bartenders while other people get punished. Speaking of shots, they're overpriced and barely poured the correct amount of liquor. On top of that, there's tons of underage drinking, with underage girls getting into the club with zero issue, and I even heard rumors about human trafficking connected to this place -- completely insane. I used to be a regular and loved this place, but after this level of negligence, favoritism, and outright danger, I will never go back. Management needs to get their shit together immediately, because this place is unsafe, poorly run, and a total joke.

Prices are on par for Charlotte. Parking is always issue so you'll probably have to walk a long ways or get an Uber. I'm really glad the owner of the trio in Charleston decided to open the spot in Charlotte. There's always plenty of restroom stalls in the women's restroom and it's always been clean when we've been there. The employees have been really respectable and nice each time we go even though I'm in the over 50 crowd, I don't feel judged when showing up at an EDM event to dance for four solid hours. Okay Mr #Iknowtheowner- please bring Armin Van Buuren!

We weren't bothering anyone or causing problems, but apparently having fun in a different way than the people doing the same routine over and over again was an issue. The lack of space awareness on the dance floor was ridiculous. People were literally pushing others out of the way/off the dance floor just so they could have more room to dance. People were constantly bumping into our chairs, and not once would they apologize or even acknowledge that they had hit someone. If you looked at them afterward because they had just slammed into your chair, they would actually give you an attitude and become rude toward you. The whole atmosphere felt incredibly cliquey and hostile. Instead of people being respectful and making room for each other, it felt like certain regulars believed they owned the dance floor and everyone else needed to get out of their way. And then there's the fact that they do the same line dance to practically every song. There's barely any variety, so if you aren't interested in doing the exact same routine over and over again, there really isn't much else to enjoy. For a place that is supposed to be about dancing and having a good time, there was a surprising lack of basic courtesy and respect. Between being told we couldn't have a dance circle, people pushing others off the floor, constantly bumping into chairs without apologizing, and the rude attitudes when you dared to look at them, we definitely won't be coming back.
