Excellent place for great tunes!! It's sitting in an excellent unexpected neighborhood. Food, beer, music, and a cvs....just don't park there, or else

Just a little hole in the wall bar and music venue. Kinda smells like an old building and pee.. went and seen a friends band perform. Nothing special.. the drinks were decent and basic. Had fun either way!

This was a late night stop. We enjoyed ourselves on the outdoor patio. I was super happy with the bar selection and the place in general. The layout is nice, staff and others were too. I'd definitely come back in the future

This is a house converted into a live venue by night and pub by day. I stopped in for a drink on a Sunday afternoon and there were ten or fifteen people just hanging out on the patio out back. On a nice day you can definitely take advantage of that. Drinks are a little high. Their lowest-end scotch was $5 but hey, party on the patio! Snug's definitely found their niche, in spite of only being open a few months, with their pirate motifs and low key bartenders. The vibe indoors would completely depend on time of day and who was playing. When there's no live band, you could go here with a group of friends and have a mellow time or by yourself and remain completely unnoticed and check out the juke box. There's no dance floor to speak of unless you're referencing the ten square feet in front of the tiny stage, but this is a live venue. So if a band you love is playing here you'll be able to see every dent in their gear which is kinda cool.

I keep finding myself here, for whatever reason - some band I dig playing, bored and wanting to drink on a night they've got some weird theme, Sunday cocktails to celebrate the Lord's Day, whatever. Great indie band magnet? Yup. Rad bartenders? Yup. Kick ass space? Yup. Open, like, all the time? Yup. Lately, they've extended their hours even further. They were even open on Thanksgiving (edit: and Christmas!!). Cover ranges depending on who's playing, but I don't think I've ever seen it exceed 8$, even for bigger acts. Only drawback - if it's pouring and crowded, there's really nowhere to go. The back porch leaks profusely and there's little to no awning out front. Also - parking in the paint shop's lot can lead to missing car stereos and such. Park either across the street in CVS's lot, or the shared lot down the alley a piece (on Thomas st.).

When I asked my friends if they experienced that, a few even said they had never been asked to show ID to go into the place. Perhaps we are Asian female and look strange. At one time, my friend came from other state and left her driver license in the car at my home. She showed that she had a copy of ID, We are all beyond 50's, the security said she had to have the real driver license. Come on give us a break? We had to drive home to get it. Last night, I went there myself, not only this guard examined my driver's license to see if that's real, check my bag and even asked me to open my jacket that was just an pullover. What authorities did he had? That's an insult to a female. Should this place hire a female guard for female as well? Someone is wrong with those guys. The ambiance early in the evening is relaxed outdoor seating needs to update the benches they're not comfortable and the woods starting to warp but, decent music, and a solid cocktail menu. It's the kind of place where you can actually hear your conversation and enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. However, as the night progresses and the vibe shifts into more of a "clubby" scene which ended up being a perfect combo but let's talk charges.. feels steep for what's essentially a modest venue without standout features. Drink prices were high like the cover but not in a way that reflects upgraded quality or service. For the area, there are other spots offering more for the same price or even less but with cozy comforts and inside seating, nicer facilities so it's easy to find things not to love if you come here to support a DJ friend like I did than pay the cover and mingle. It's not a bad place by any means, and the early lounge experience is definitely a highlight followed up with the banging DJ club scene after...it's just the paying premium rates for a relatively average experience for me.

We revisited this place on Saturday with some friends to see this cover band, The Camera Eye, for Rush...and they were so good, I think I'm now a Rush fan (like my husband has been for years). It was good to see that this place is still hopping. The place looked about the same (a bit worn down, of course), but many more bar chairs and tables than in the distant past. Think it's been at least 4 years since I've last been here? WOW. Although I haven't been here in a while, I've always loved this place. It's spacious with several levels...and has such a cool, comfy vibe. Also, the light show and the sound system is really good! I also thought the bar service was really quick. Despite the huge crowd, I got served right away! Not sure if they still do raves, dance parties and special shows like they did in the past, but I remember some of the best times here. After seeing the stellar cover band this weekend, I'm thinking that this place is a keeper...and I hope to have more good times here in the future!

Parking was a challenge because I didn't really understand where we could park. I originally parked in the lot across from the nearby hospital until a staff member told me they tow very regularly. The staff recommended parking in the lot directly across the street. I appreciated that while we were waiting in line a staff member did an ID check which made things smoother when doors opened. The Visulite theatre provides water for free and had a few tables and chairs which is a luxury I really appreciated. You're allowed to bring food into the venue and I saw quite a few people with Viva Chicken from next door. Seating is first come first served seating but my wife and I were able to find two seats. The ambiance is a cool vibe and my wife and I loved the disco ball in the middle of the theatre. The concert itself was very nice and I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. The staff was great and the other perks mentioned above is definitely enough for me to want to come back and see someone else in concert.

They had about 5 beers to choose from all of which I would never ever drink nor would anyone else in our group which is saying a lot because we all have pretty diverse tastes. All of the beers were like $18, even the garbage beers. I expect that price as we pay $19/beer at the hockey games but the arena offers a great selection. I'll pay $19 for a good beer. I saved lots of money at The Underground since they don't have any beer worth drinking. The bartenders at the bar on the left were not friendly and not interested in answering any questions. There's literally NOWHERE to park in the area for free. Th cheapest lot we found was around the corner and at the end of the street in a gravel lot and it was 12 bucks. Parking right at the venue is 40 bucks. 2. Drink and beer prices inside are way high. A shaker cup cocktail is 20 bucks and it's ALL ice. Refills are 17 bucks!!!! Another thjng I didn't like is that the box office is not attached to the venue and is up the street and they didn't take cash for tickets there.
