This place used to be amazing but I believe terrible management and changing of staff has lowered its greatness. No one answers the phone for appointments. The deep tissue massage is no joke!! I'm an ICU RN so I have lots of tension and knots in my back, I left there with every knot worked on and gotten out. When I usually ask for a deep tissue, they start out okay then end up getting soft. With me being so tiny, I feel like they don't think I can handle the pain but she did an amazing job here. This place was horrible the masseuse kept leaving me exposed. She was extremely rough and I kept telling her she was hurting me and she would say "ok medium". She continued being extremely rough. To make matters worst when I was walking out she and the receptionist were talking and got quiet when I came out. The icing on the cake was when she asked me for a tip. I like using Groupon to try new things so I bought a Groupon for a 60 minute massage. Arrived and received a friendly greeting. Lobby is very clean. Marting took me to my room while she finished with another client. Once she began my treatment I could tell she was extremely experienced and professional. I like a deep massage and she regularly asked if the pressure was ok. She used several techniques that I was not familiar with, however, they relieved stiff muscles. I agreed to a body scrub and shower and this is something completely out of the ordinary for me. Again, Marting was professional and made me feel so comfortable so I agreed. I'm so glad I took the plunge and gave it a try. I felt so relaxed and was relieved of any tension. I highly recommend going to Encore Massage Spa and give them a try. I told her I purchased 2 Groupons same service, could my son use other voucher. Lady on the phone said ok. And if I wanted the Groupon price come and give her cash. I explained I already bought 2 vouchers. My bad, I should have bought the gift. Got there she redeemed one voucher then says my son can't use other voucher. Today was my second time here. The first time, I asked for a combo massage ($35/1 hr) and was told that wasn't an option that day and I could only do a full body massage ($50/1hr). I don't really understand why certain massages aren't available on certain days but whatever. Got the full body, it was great. Came back today and a different woman was there. This one required I pay before the massage which was fine even though I've never had to before at any of these types of places I've been to, but she also wanted me to tip before the massage which I declined to do. After the massage, which was good, I come out, she gives me a cup of water and I tip her in cash ($5) and she looks at me, scoffs, takes the money and turns around and walks away without another word. I won't be coming back. They're more expensive then other similar massage businesses and dealing with attitude like that isn't something I want to deal with. read more
