I wish I could give this place 0 stars, seriously. I got the worst pedicure ever. Took 1 hour 2 minutes to get the absolute worst pedicure I've ever seen. The guy didn't cut my cuticles at all. I grew my toe nails out 2 months past a break so that I wouldn't have nubs and he still FUBAR'd it. He cut my nails down so low that it looks like I bite my toenails. He did such a horrible job that I wouldn't let him paint because I have to go and get a real pedicure from somewhere else. Now I completely understand why the shop was empty when I got there. You would think that they'd have all the time in the world to provide great service because they have no clients. Instead, they're giving terrible service to potential customers. I was right about the service. Definitely quick and to the point, but I can see why they don't get much traffic through here. They are not personable. They want to rush the service to take the next cigarette break. I don't like telling people how to do their jobs. That's not what I pay for. I pay for efficiency and respect. Here just expect a service that may or may not be efficient. I've never been to a place where I have to ask for lotion or oil or a massage afterwards. I don't know if it was the tech or if that's standard practice. For the price it's not worth it. Apparently I lm still on a mission to find a good nail shop. This place should be packed with customers on a Saturday. I came in around 2p for a pedicure and there were three ppl ahead of me. A pedi sounds simple enough, or does it?? What I will say is that Yelp saved me from horrifically bad service. As soon as I thought I was being mistreated, I opened the app and my thumbs ran the length of the keyboard. The techs looked a little nervous, but I started taking pictures and waaahla, like magic, Kelly swooped in to fight enchanted nails losing battle. She corrected wrongs: oiled my feet, took off a charge, and talked me into playing nice again. I had on my "Don't do it to ya self" facial expression, ready to cut them with my razor sharp tongue (no cursing though, that's unattractive). Tonight I had my first and last experience at this salon. I should have walked out when I came in. I came to the salon around 6:50pm (closes at 8), and when I asked to get a gel fill in and eyebrow waxing, they said yes, after two minutes of conversing with each other (as if they were pressed for time and they didn't want to do my nails), I was their only customer at the time! but anyway, the lady waxed my eyebrows first. She did a good job, but only wax, nothing extra like tweezing (like they do at any other salon), but they looked nice so I didn't say anything. After I went out to get my nails filled, and the guy wasn't personable at all. He kept questioning the length of my nails, saying they were long, and they weren't even that long, but again, okay?! I guess. Anyways, my nails came out nice, but I go to pay and he charges me 45 for a gel polish fill in. The price on the list says 35 and when I questioned him, he said its 10 extra for a gel coat... again what?! I said okay, no argument, because my nails looked nice, I paid him and walked out. Moral of the story, don't go here unless you're looking to get overcharged and rushed out like you're not a paying customer. read more

Since moving to the area I have tried few different nail salons and I believe I have found a good one...finally. I had taken my baby and toddler and the staff was understanding and helpful. My nails also look clean and pretty...it was long due after having the baby. They also have a nice promotion (10 visits and you get % off or spend $30 and get a lotion). First, I'll say that this is my go-to nail place simply because I live in the condos behind the shopping center its in. Because I'm so close, I've never tried making an appointment, as I typically just get the urge for a mani or pedi on my way home from work and drop in. They've always done decent work; nothing overly awesome or note worthy, but not horrible either. The reason for the two star review is that the past few times I've walked in there, there's only been one person in the shop and I've been asked to come back because it would be a while before they got to me. I admit not having made appointments, but after 7 years of always being able to walk in (and having multiple techs there at any given day or time) I find this incredibly frustrating. Not having more than one tech there during high traffic times just seems silly and a way to lose customers. read more

Worst experience ever. The lady that helped my sis in law was great but the girl that did my gel set was horrible. She filed my skin til it bled and told me that I looked fat. She herself was chunky. She did a horrible job on my nails and they look like uneven flippers. I'm disgusted. She started out with a used file and I had to make her get me a new one. She was aggressive and her drill tools were dirty. I had to ask her to sanitize them. My nails look horrible but since I was with someone who receive a mani and pedi in the time i got one set I let it pass. I'm in serious pain and being a diabetic who needs to make sure places are clean I am very upset. My mother got her nails done at this place so we figured we would try it out for Mother's Day. The have a sign posted saying they open at 11 am on Sunday. My daughter and I showed up at about 11:12 and the doors were locked. What a shame. So I called Vivians nail spa which is right around the corner and they were open, took my name and what time should they be expecting me. I know I'm not reviewing the nail jobs here but as a business if your supposed to be open at 11, be open. According to some of the other reviews this is a normal occurrence so just go somewhere else. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Save your time and select a different salon!!!! I'm almost 8 months pregnant and haven't had a mani/pedi since my wedding. To treat myself I decided to stop by this establishment since it's 3 min away from my house but I'll drive 30min to a better place next time. I'm writing this review as I sit in the pedicure chair. I'd REALLY like to walk out but my toes look a mess and I have a ton of other this going on this afternoon so I'm sucking it up this one time but NEVER AGAIN. The massage chair was on when I sat down but it was vibrating (I like massages I just don't want to shake my baby around too much) so I turned it off. Then like 10 min later she looks at me and says "Sorry. No massage. It's $10" and proceeds to hit the on/off button but the thing is I already turned the chair off so it started moving. I said "I already had it off." So I hit the on/off button again to turn it off and she yelled at me "NO!" And I was like "I'm trying to turn it off. It's moving." And she kept yelling at me. I better not get charged $10 dollars for this crap. What kind of nail place charges for the massage chairs you're sitting in anyway?! Ridiculous! I think she realized how rude she was being because now she's trying to make small talk. "When did you get married?" " Does your husband love you?" What kind of question is that?!!!!! "When's your baby due?" "I don't have help with my kids." She complained about her life after every question she asked me. Another thing that I found rude was when I asked where the bathroom was she grabbed my arm and escorted me around the corner like a child. Then when I was getting my nails done she reached over and touched my cleavage asking me what a spot was there. I have sun damage from a past beach trip that happens to be on my boobs. Why on Earth is she touching anything other than my hands or feet?!!! The other woman on staff seemed nice but I'll never know for sure since I'm not returning there even if it's the last nail salon on the planet. I would not send a DOG to this place! Lee was very nasty and rude and didn't treat my daughter with respect! She was only there to a broken nail repaired and a touch-up on the others. She wanted to pry it off and my daughter told her after several attempts that it was hurting her and requested that she soak it off but she refused because it would take too long...really?? One nail, are you kidding me?! She then said that she had "other" customers even though my daughter was there first and moved her out of the way so she could work on another client's nails. I relocated to the area in October 2015 and needed to find a new nail salon. Since this place is right around the corner, I gave it a try. Worst. Experience. Ever. The place was empty on a Saturday, which should have been my first clue. I needed a French fill, but she was adamantly opposed to filling the white for some reason and would only do the pink, which left my nails with only a very small bit of white after cutting them down. She (Lynn, who I believe is the owner) kept putting my hands into two little heaters, one on each side of the station, which I found not only odd but also uncomfortable. Within 2 days the pink part turned red and the white tips of my nails were a mottled red. I paid $40 for a partial fill and it was terrible! I am from California, living in Arkansas, visiting the area and staying at a hotel across the street from the salon. I do not understand some of the negative reviews I have read about this establishment. I went in for a pedicure and a wax. Lynn helped me and she was very kind and did a great job. I have been to salons in a few states; California, Oregon, Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas, and now Virginia. I think the problem is not with the proprietor, but perhaps remarks written by competitive businesses or people just having a bad day. This facility is no different than any other I have been to. For those who wrote such negative comments, please consider the nature of the business and your attitude. They provide services of comfort and convenience. My rating for this salon would be in the negative if possible. Do not go to this nail salon if you want quality work and good customer service. I went in for a gel manicure, this was my second time going to this nail salon. The polish was placed on very thick and my thumb had small bumps all over it because old polish was used. Even though I was not happy with the overall manicure, I only requested that the one nail with all of the bumps be redone. (I am not a complainer, it takes a lot for me to speak up). The owner and nail technician agreed that the maicure was not the best, the owner stated, "it's because of the polish you choose." At the end of the service I asked the amount and was told 45.00. I asked why it was more expensive, the owner noted that it was because I had them redo the one nail. I told her that I would be happy to pay for the manicure but not the redo of the nail given it was not properly done. The owner proceeded to yell at me stating, "I don't want your kind in here!!! You will pay for the nail redo." I said, I will not, I will pay for the gel manicure alone." She then yelled many more unpleasant things. I paid the technician the full price for the gel manicure in cash, I did not pay for the corrected nail. I also tipped her and said this is for you, I am not paying for the redone nail. I will never ever go back to this nail salon again. My experience started off crappy from the start. I made an early morning shellac mani/pedi appointment and when I got there I was hustled to a station and the women started my nails. The water was very cold and she was rushing. I quickly was asked to wash my hands and then was hustled to a pedi station. The water was again cold! I had to ask the man doing my feet to please take it easy not once but twice. He rushed through the pedi and it was done very sloppy. My toes where not filed evenly and it was just terrible. I would have walked out but I had a wedding to go to that evening and I need my feet and nails done. After my pedi I was sent back to the mani station and nails were painted. My nails look decent but not great especially for the amount of money you pay for the shellac mani. I'm not a person with a chip on my shoulder but I walked in and they did not even speak or ackowledge my presence. However, another lady walked in and they greeted her instantly. I asked them why and they said, "oh, we wanted to see what she needed." So, I asked, "you didn't ask what services I needed or even speak to me". I immediately left and went elsewhere. Prior to that, I had been there twice. There are only 2 people working in there so the job is always rushed and they have zero customer service skills. My friend and I went here yesterday just for pedicures around 10:30 in the morning. We had to wait about 10 minutes as the tech who was there was by herself and already busy with another customer. No big deal except the water we were soaking our tootsies in was tepid...not so nice on a chilly morning. My tech arrived first and did a good job on my feet, with a long massage, but I wish more pressure was applied. She did a fine job, my feet are looking good. My friend's tech arrived about 5 minutes later, and he somehow caught up with my tech and they finished at the same time. My friend was very disappointed because she barely got a leg/foot massage, and I was offered the razor (which I love), but my friend was not. Also, it was not apparent that the tools were disinfected either before or after use. They were wiped down and put into a basket, and I am not sure what happened after we left. Now, here is the shocker...these pedicures cost $28.00 each!! I had sticker shock, for sure! I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg, and based on the reviews, the quality of the pedicure, etc,...that was NO $28 pedi. I will not be returning for price alone, as well as comparing the two services my friend and I received at the same time. By the way, the shop has no website and the prices were not displayed prominently. They were all listed on a small brochure next to the cash register, and almost all of the services listed were penned over to increase price. For that money, I will go to one of the nicer salons. I was refused service because I entered the location 45 minutes before they closed. When. I inquired why could I not receive service the nail tech told me because she was the only one working and she was finishing up a client but by the time she finished it would almost be time to close. I explained to her that I was in way before closing. The nail tech still refused me service. Every time I try to get my nails done there is always some excuse of why they could not service me. I am now here even again the third time just to see if I can get my nails done. As soon as I walk in there is one person in the pedicure chair . The nail tech tells me I can't do you right now can you come back? I say no. Do you do walk-in she says yes. I say ok I can wait. She say I'm the only one here. I say ok that's fine. My complaint is the tech can make the customer aware but just dont out right refuse service. This lady, truly needs help. This nail shop is 5 minutes away from my house. Went in for a simple manicure and pedicure. Cuticle was cut on THREE fingers and the nail technician didn't understand why I wouldn't allow her to put polish on the nails. Didn't realize the Enchanting nails and Gorgeous Nails are owned by the same person. Was cut during a pedicure at that one. I think i'll pass on service at these two locations in the future. Let me start by saying I do think the technician, Kelly is quite good. However, I think as someone mentioned on another review site, she is very rude and seems to have the attitude she is doing the customer a favor by doing her/his nails. Too many places around to go to deal with that kind of attitude. I made One comment about how I did not like the shape of ONE nail and she went off on me. It was embarrassing and not necessary. I love going there because of the tech (Snow). She is extremely professional and knows what she is doing. I am diabetic and it is very important for nail techs to know how to handle diabetic feet. She knows this and does my pedis with extreme caution and the end result is always very satisfactory. I had tried over 15 different places prior to finding Snow. Each time was more disappointing than the next. As far as refusing service.... I don't know what the heck LaVonne and some of these other people are talking about. Snow is the sweetest person. If she is the only one there working, not her choice by the way, than you need to make an appointment. Why are people so spoiled. Wow! To see the reviews a couple of people have written is really weird to me. I started going to Enchanting Nails back when they took it over from the previous owners. And I love Kelly and her brother Mike!!! I am very particular and try to come close to perfection when it comes to my nails, eye brows etc. I will not go anywhere else since going there. Especially my eyebrows! I only let Kelly do them! Mike takes care of me most of the time. He is a very sweet guy and does a great job on my nails and pedi! We have great conversations and may sing a little!!! I do understand everyone has their own perception of things, but most of the time when I see people come in they want to be taken care of "on the spot" not even wait 5 to 10 mins. But how can u ask for that when you have no appointment! LOL I don't make appointments but am always assisted within 10 minutes of coming in. I have no complaints! Horrible! I never write reviews but I am making a point to let everyone know how bad this place is. Went on a Friday to get a pedicure and fill/french tip. I did not have time to make it to Happy Nails in Woodbridge.Mike did both on Friday. My fill was a disaster! He started shaping my nails without asking what shape I wanted. I interrupted and told him "rounded square with 2 designs". He proceeded to give me the smallest, narrow, pointy, rectangular nails I have ever had. I told him they were more narrow than I wanted WHILE he was doing them and he continued anyway. When he finished I expressed my dissatisfaction. I asked for some of my money back and was assured that if I came back he would redo my nails WITH the design I wanted on another day. I went back the next day and again Mike began my nails. I showed him the design and he said he would do it. In the middle of doing my nails he switched with Kim and she began doing my nails. She asked what I was getting and I showed her my design. She wanted me to pay for the design because Mike had not charged me the day before. I told her Mike said the previous day that he would do them and didn't mention charge. I expressed that since I was inconvenienced I didn't understand why I would pay them more to fix what wasn't done right the first time. After all I had originally asked for this design. I told Kim that Mike did not listen to anything I asked for originally which is why I had to return and waste more of my time. After getting into a verbal exchange with BOTH Kim and Mike and being told by Mike that they "were doing everything to make me happy and I was being hard to please" I told them I would go elsewhere for my design. After yet another technician switch I was finished. My nails were given ONE top coat of regular clear polish and not the thick acrylic top coat. I asked was I only getting one coat and was told that this polish was "powerful". At that point I had already decided that this was the worst nail salon ever and wasn't going to fight it.
