I'm so glad I brought my family here! Unlike the Prospect Park, this location has benches and…read moretables, which is huge! Easy to find, several port o potties available and a separate area with an ID check for alcohol, where you can bring food inside (there are picnic tables inside here as well), but cannot bring drinks out. This year there were so many Japanese vendors, which were incredible, some places just serving drinks like coffees and flavored lemonades, and several dessert places. Come hungry and with $$$, as you'll be paying food festival like prices. I can't wait to come back next year!

So many different vendors, foods, flavors, and all round experience. Just imagine the aroma in the air of all those different flavors and spices. Service was surprisingly quick for the most part. Only had one almost an hour long wait. Lots of workers moving around and making sure the place is kept clean, which was really appreciated. Some venders were a bit overpriced for the portion/sizes but that's the festival prices I guess Vendors I tried: The Monkey King- tried everything on their menu and enjoyed it all. First time having "fuchka" and I love it, especially the spice and flavors in the dipping sauce. Red Hook Lobster pound- had the lobster BLT. Soo good just maybe overpriced for the size Pig Me Up- moo grob. Really yummy melt in your mouth fried pork belly with crunchy ends C Bao- had the duck and pork baos. Really good flavors and the pork was huge inside. Just think maybe some sauce would've been good since the bao bun is dry (though soft). Oyster co- oysters were nice and fresh. Vermont Maple Lemonade- had the passion fruit lemonade which was nice and refreshing!

I've been going to Smorgasburg since the beginning when it was small and coupled with a farmers…read moremarket. The farmers market is gone and now there is so much food to enjoy. Some of my original favorites are not longer there, but there are plenty of new ones to keep me happy. Tosh's Patty's serves up Jamaican parties and they are delicious. I grabbed a beef one and it was so good went back for the chicken curry version. The fillings are well seasoned and the pastry is light and flakey. Very good. OUA Thai Sausage specializes in sausage from Northern Thailand. It's filled with aromatics and it's wonderful. They have a bunch of options to how it is served, I got the Bao version and it was heavenly. Jase BBQ had the longest line of the day and serves Caribbean inspired BBQ. They had a plate for $25 which included 2 meats and 2 sides which was a great deal. Both the brisket and pulled pork were excellent, so succulent, tender and perfectly seasoned. The BBQ sauce had a nice tang to it. The coleslaw is creamy and refreshing. The cornbread is an excellent version. Yakitori Tatsu serves Japanese meat skewers cooked over charcoal. I don't know how they do it, but they just melt in your mouth. Home Frites, you can't go wrong here, they serve delicious crispy fries and have a bunch of sauces to choose from for dipping. They also have some good lemonade. 88 Coffee serves up some delicious and bold Vietnamese Coffee. Baonana offers classic banana pudding as well as Ube and Cookie Butter varieties. It's light and creamy and scrumptious. Prices tend to be on th high side here, but the quality is there. Most vendors accept cards.

Honestly .... What's not to like about Smorgasburg? Tons of vendors with all varieties of cuisine…read more Varying price points. Some of lines are long and you have to wait to place an order but that comes with the territory of a food market. Ambiance is great. Everyone seems to be there for a good time. Lots of families, couples, friend squads. Def recommend if looking for a fun NYC activity.

Did I just pay $25 for a 32 oz. jar of sauce? You bet I did! No regrets…read more It's not just any ordinary sauce -- it is the ultimate Sunday Gravy! I first tried this down at South Street Seaport right by the New Amsterdam Market on a cold, rainy day in December. South Street Seaport looked absolutely dreary after Hurricane Sandy had wreaked havoc, but there was still a ton of local vendors who were absolute troopers trying to revive the area. My friend and I decided to split a serving of Sunday Gravy over pasta, and it totally hit the spot! The pasta had the perfect consistency, and the sauce (ohmygod the sauce) was just PACKED with pork, beef, sausage, meatballs, tomatoes, & basil. It was actually so hearty that I had to ask for another container to double up because I didn't think one plate would be able to support it all. After making our rounds to the different vendors, I HAD to return to get that large bottle of Sunday Gravy! It was calling my name. With every 32 oz. bottle you purchase, you get a pound of pasta. The bottle has a shelf live of 7 days, and even when I made it in my apartment, it was still amazing then. Sunday Gravy does NOT skimp on the meat! Another review says that the people who run it weren't very friendly, but the guy who was working when I went was so nice! He even said that I was his second favorite customer (only second to another customer who ended up buying 7 large bottles and fulfilled his quota for the day, so I'm not bitter about not being his first favorite). He was making conversation and still had a smile on his face despite looking like he was freezing. I'm only docking a star because $25 is a lot of money to pay for a large jar. Although I would want it again and again, I'm not made of money and would likely only buy this as a gift or every once in a while to treat myself. The quality is amazing, and I highly recommend you get your fix if you see them around.

Had this at smorgasburg and was some of the best, most homemade tasting stuff ever!…read more Everyone that worked there was super awesome, food was great and fresh, bought a jar to take home! Must try wherever you can find them!
