I'm so happy that there is an empanada place in Lancaster. I'm obsessed with empanadas. First off, I love the friendly service and simple decor. My boyfriend and I got the rice and bean, steak and Uruguayan empanadas. They were delicious. We bought them Saturday afternoon intending to have them as a snack before a wedding, but in the shuffle we weren't able to eat them until Sunday evening. They were still absolutely incredible. The steak empanada was so tasty and tender, it's an instant favorite. We don't always go to Lancaster, but we will always go to Empanada Gourmet when we're in Lancaster.

Really enjoyed our empanada sampling yesterday. We arrived right at 11am, when they opened, and apparently weren't the only ones waiting for some early lunchtime empanada goodness - there were at least two couples ahead of us at the counter, and a third group walked in right behind us. We ordered the beef and cheese, rice and beans, ham and cheese, and the Uraguyan. Since they were all put in paper bags for us to take home and enjoy, I lost track of which ones were which, but they were all delicious. I couldn't tell the difference between the Uraguyan and the beef and cheese, but the ground beef was seasoned well and the melty cheese was everything I had hoped it would be. The rice and beans were equally flavorful and well cooked - sometimes rice in empanadas gets over cooked and mushy. Not the case here. And since they're baked, not fried, we weren't left with greasy fingers or that heavy feeling in our stomachs after our meal. Also really enjoyed the sauces they served along with them - a salsa verde looking one and a slightly more spicy red dipping sauce punched up the empanadas just a bit in the spice department. Looking forward to visiting again and trying more of their options - there must've been more than a dozen on display, something for everyone.

The empanadas were excellent but a little small for the price. I did not find the "spicy" sauce, spicy. We the the Beef one was our favorite

Malisimas las empanadas. O muy saladas o sin gusto aparte de minimas x el precio. No vuelvo.

The food was flavorful. I got the goat, and morcilla (blood sausage) and my partner got the beef, platanos, and yuca. His beef was fall-off-the-bone tender, platinum, and yuca was great. My goat was a bit chewy, and morcilla a bit dry, but still very tasty. I'd definitely come back to try their other à la carte dishes. There are so many choices even if I went back every day for lunch for a week, I still would not be able to sample all that they offer. I couldn't take a pic of my partner's plate as it was so good he inhaled all of it, I barely got any, and that's how you know his plate was amazing!! Service was awesome as well, the lady was so nice and helpful.

Walking in, the vibrant walls and the lively energy of both staff and people inside made me feel as if I were back at the beach . It was surprising to find this vibrant spot open at 10:30 AM, ensuring my meal would be fresh and flavorful. I chose their pork with rice & beans, and sweet plantains. I couldn't be more thrilled. The juicy pork, drizzled over the rice, was perfectly cooked--not too oily or runny--and settled comfortably in my stomach, which, as a truck driver, I greatly appreciate this, while being a driver you find out later while going down the road if the food was real good or not! If you catch my drift I was also delighted to see that they offer fun games for kids, making it a family-friendly spot. And if you have a sweet tooth, stay tuned--you'll be pleasantly surprised by their desserts including flan or caramel custard, it's popular in French, Spanish, and Latin American cuisines. I didn't get a chance to taste the pastries however they looked very delicious. So next time I do visit the Lancaster area I'll make sure that I stop here first for a pastry
