Took my daughter here for an early dinner and to cheer her up since she's had a rough few months…read more As the bad mom that I am I encouraged to order a margarita or piña colada but she was raised right and declined, saying alcohol won't improve her dreaded situation. Proud mama!!!! She ordered water I got tea. The service was friendly, fast and uninterrupted. We ordered carne asada and nachos. I can't remember all my daughter asked as toppings but it looked great! Food was good it came fast and hot! The steak was cooked to perfection. The only thing was that no cheese was mentioned on the menu but it did have it melted over the beans. It wasn't queso fresco; I couldn't tell what kind of cheese it was, maybe white American, but it was awful! I pushed it aside. My daughter said her nachos also had the same cheese on her nachos and she didn't like it either but the rest of the toppings were fantastic. lol when the chips were placed on the table with it were two bowls. One bowl was clearly salsa and the other was white so I dipped thinking it was queso. Yuck !!!! It definitely wasn't queso!! The restaurant could be cleaner. There were smudges on the windows and back door of dining area. The wall by kitchen you can see stains, dirt. The ladies room full length mirror had smudges and the center stall has a broken toilet seat. It was well stocked with paper towels and toilet paper and a soft fragrance. The outside signage wasn't very visible from the shopping center entrance. I had to loop around the parking lot toward the car wash and behind it, it was on that end. Don't know if there was a cross contamination with an allergen but after I left I had to take an allergy pill. I felt nausea and a scratchy feeling in my throat. Unfortunately I will have to eliminate Mex food from my diet it doesn't sit well.

The place is very clean, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I got the carnitas platter; it…read morecomes with rice, refried beans, cheese, tortillas, chips, and salsa. There was a lot of food, and it all tasted very good. Now, I didn't get limes for the carnitas or cilantro, and what threw me off the most is I got a side of ranch (I didn't know what to use it on). I paid 28 bucks for all that plus a soda. Overall, it's very good, and I'll be back again for sure.

What a hidden gem !…read more This little Mexican Restaurant is located inside of the El Agave Market Store. There are about 6 tables and the space is decorated really nice ! We were cheerfully greeted and presented menus and we just wanted to grab something basic and quick, we ordered the chips and salsa along with the 4 taco plate. Our server took time to explain everything, explained the various meat selections and so forth. Our food came out hot and extremely fresh and very nicely presented ... The assortment of tacos were awesome ! Fresh and Full of Flavor and in true Mexican fashion. Could not have asked for better ! You gained 2 new customers and we look forward to dining again and trying different plates. The small store is really neat, they offer such a variety of Mexican foods, breads, candies, drinks, really nice western boots, hats, and the list goes on ! Staff are very friendly and helpful !! If your in the area, stop in and enjoy some food, you will not be disappointed Highly Recommend

We live just a few minutes up the road from here but have never tried it until today. I cannot…read morebelieve we didn't try them sooner! The chips come out PIPING HOT and are fresh fried, as they should be, but seems to be rare for Mexican restaurants in the area these days... the salsa is incredibly good. It is a touch spicy with a little sweetness, but we loved the flavor. The first basket is free (also not always the norm around here) and a second basket is only $1.50 more - that's amazing! We also got a queso con chorizo to share and the small size was PLENTY. We both decided on taco platters and that was a great choice - we got to try a bunch of meats that way. The al pastor was amazing, as was the carne asada, carnitas, and shrimp taco. The tacos were topped with an amazing guacamole sauce. I got corn tortilla tacos and they were perfectly griddled and warm. My husband enjoyed his flour tortilla tacos. The rice and beans were fresh and hot and delicious too. Food came out quick and exactly as we ordered, even with some modifications! We didn't love the additional red sauce in the squirt bottle that you can add to your food, but the salsa verde in the squirt bottle was good. I ordered an extra salsa to add to my tacos instead. For drinks, there's agua frescas and an extensive soda selection in a case to choose from. My husband was happy to see Mexican Coke. Service was great! Overall, we had two taco platters, queso, two drinks, plus an extra chips and salsa for less than $40. You can't beat it. We will be back!!

Décor was the typical Mexican, with over-the-top paint colors. The dining area was spacious. The waitress greeted us with big smiles. We sat ourselves by the window. Immediately we were offered a complimentary serving of chips and salsa. The chips were well made and the salsa was tangy and very appetizing. I made my order almost in no time for the Mole Poblano; my wife ordered Pechuga en Crema con Champiñones. The food came out in about 10 minutes; both dishes came with 4-5 tortillas. Now, the long-awaited mole sauce -- thick, dark, and complex. I watched a YouTube video on how it's typically made, so I had a level of respect and appreciation for it. It tasted like the popular five-spice bean curd jerky Asian snack -- bold and strong. I liked it very much. My wife's cream chicken, while moist, was bland in comparison. If you're like me, you'd be a bit confused when the bill came. The amounts were different from what the menu showed. Basically, the figures on the bill were the inflated prices that included surcharges for paying with a credit card. If you pay cash, you pay the menu prices instead.
