First off, ask if ur room has a dresser. My initial room did not with a family of 4 & there was no where to organize clothes for a week stay. they comp'd my 1st nite & moved me into a room with a dresser in the "new tower" the nxt day. They also gave me a bottle wine since we are the top tier members. Nice hotel. im not a huge fan of the area & all the kids in thongs at the beach but .... it is that side of Fl. i highly recommend the Saint restaurant in downtown st augustine main strip. Do the carriage ride. its very informative

Restaurant. Castaway Cantina - St. Augustine If you're looking for a laid-back spot with great food and beachy vibes, Castaway Cantina is a hidden gem tucked inside the Embassy Suites in St. Augustine. The place serves up a Latin-inspired menu featuring fresh ceviche, crisp ensaladas, hearty tortas, and of course, tacos that are hard to resist. They even have a grilled Beachside Burger if you're craving something a little more classic. The setting couldn't be better -- you get ocean views, a cool breeze, and you're right next to their sprawling pool. It's the perfect place to relax and soak it all in. I tried the margarita (highly recommend!) along with the shrimp tacos and vegetarian tacos. Honestly, the vegetarian tacos were so flavorful, I almost forgot they were meatless. They really nailed it. They also offer steak tacos and a few other options if you're in the mood for something heartier. The Cantina has a full bar with plenty of drink choices, and you definitely can't go wrong with their happy hour -- great deals and a perfect excuse to linger a little longer by the pool. Overall, Castaway Cantina is a fun, easygoing spot to kick back with good food, good drinks, and even better views. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Dirty and disrepair

Wearried in our room to find our barefeet black after walkung about. shower tile broken and fallen off, shower handle loose and lits of mold in shower. Lobby sofas need cleaning, showers need a facelift, room floors shouldbemopped every flip instead of just dust mop, sheets and all bed linens were pilled and need replacement. very disappointing wecomplained about dirty bed and shower and did not get the issue resolved. new sheets on top of dirty mattress pad, dirty coverlet remained, floors were nopped butshower never cleaned. we wore our beach flops to shower. property needs some inspections by HILTON

The beach and view were a pleasant surprise! I didn't expect the white sand and beautiful water. The atmosphere was tropical with delicious pina coladas and margaritas! Prepare to spend a large tab each is about $15-20. Beer was $7. The hotel was upgraded and I would suggest a main floor room. Live music and free breakfast. Buffet with made to order omelettes. Surf lessons on the beach. Would stay again!

We had our wedding on the sunrise lawn this week and it exceeded expectations on everything. We had a private family dinner the night before, ceremony, private family brunch after. The set-up and execution of all events was perfection. I cannot say enough good things about Sierra Popp (event coordinator) and team. Best customer service I have seen in a long time. Our wedding was magical

Every moment from start to finish was incredible. We come here almost every year and choose Embassy for many reasons. Prime location, food options, pool access, beach access, staff professionalism and cleanliness. We adore this place and look forward to next year. My heart stays at Embassy Suites by Hilton St Augustine Beach. See y'all soon!

I was on a business trip and enjoyed my stay and would come back for a vacation. Lots of dogs! Spacious, clean, comfortable rooms. Awesome open hang out areas with views of the ocean. Excellent location on St Beach with restaurants nearby and a beautiful beach to walk.. I enjoyed the included breakfast (with lots of options including made to order omelets) and the manager's reception in the evening. Cantina lunch was great by the pool. But please make stronger, more flavorful coffee!

I was really disappointed by my recent stay at Embassy Suites St. Augustine. I specifically chose Hilton for an important trip--one where communication and service were truly needed. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in several areas: 1. Communication Failures (Before and During Stay): Before arrival, I needed to coordinate sending items to the hotel in preparation for an event. Corporate Hilton advised me to call the property directly--but no one ever answered. Once I checked in, the issues were even worse. Phone calls from my room were never answered, and by the second day, the room phone was disconnected entirely. Every request--towels, silverware, wake-up calls--was something I had to physically go to the front desk for. 2. Valet Service Didn't Work: The texting valet system never worked. All car requests were done in person, which led to delays and made me get on the road late. 3. Subpar Customer Service: On my first night, I was told to get my own silverware from the kitchen--and when I asked where it was, I was met with attitude. I understand what it's like to be understaffed and overworked, but that doesn't excuse a lack of basic hospitality. Expectations were simply not met. 4. Not Suited for Business or Quiet Stays: The hotel was very loud and filled with children. It's clearly family-oriented, which is fine, but not ideal for solo travelers or business trips where peace and quiet were needed. 5. Disappointing Follow-Up: I had booked the most expensive suite and expected some level of accountability or gesture of goodwill. After submitting my concerns, a manager eventually responded--but there was no apology, no offer to make it right, and no compensation. For a high-tier stay, that just isn't acceptable. My folks visited me on the last day and although they enjoyed the views, they said switch back to Mariott! Will do!

We decided to stay at this beautiful beachfront hotel on St. Augustine Beach on July 4th. The check-in process was really easy and quick, even though we checked in early. Thankfully, our room was ready early. The room is very nice with a living room area and a bedroom, along with a balcony with a view of the beach. The bed is comfy. The lobby is beautiful with a beachy feel and plenty of comfortable seating. The outside area also has plenty of seating. The pool is big with plenty of chairs and a great view of the beach. They had free snow cones today at the pool. There is a free happy hour from 5-7 every day. The lobby also has a restaurant and a Starbucks, as well as a gift shop. There is also a fitness center. Great property.

This hotel had everything we were looking for in terms of a vacation stay - great pool, on the beach (with easy access), complimentary breakfast and evening reception. Overall, everything was great, but there were some things that were misses. The room - ample size for a family of four. The beds were comfortable and we had a great balcony. The cons - there were no dressers - just one small closet. It made it hard to unpack and organize a family of 4 when you're on a long vacation there. A dresser would have made life a lot easier. We also didn't have shampoo/conditioner or anything like that until the last day of our stay. Facility - great pool, great beach access. You get complimentary towels during your stay, and 2 beach chairs. Then they nickel and dime you by charging $15 for an umbrella on the beach per day. Go to Walmart and buy yourself one to bring. Valet - this was the worst part. You have to do valet there at $35 a day. Now, the valets are nice and you have in/out access, but it was super steep when you have no other parking options. They also don't clearly disclose this on their website when booking, which is also frustrating. We enjoyed our stay, but be prepared for the extra costs that you have to incur during your visit.

Don't mistake St Augustine Beach for St Augustine Florida. They're two different places about 20 mi apart. I'm not saying St Augustine Beach is not a good place, it's just not a great place to visit in the winter. Prices here were significantly lower than in St Augustine.

We -- along with six other families -- were left waiting in the lobby for nearly two hours past check-in, with staff unable or unwilling to provide a realistic estimate of when a room would be ready. Simply stating that the hotel was at full occupancy is not an excuse -- it is a failure of planning and management. This situation reflects inefficient and lazy management. Late checkouts were clearly oversold without regard for incoming guests, and there was no urgency, accountability, or proactive communication. Guests were left in limbo while management avoided taking responsibility for the problem they created. For a Courtyard/Marriott property, this level of operational disorganization and disregard for guests is unacceptable. We will not be returning and would caution others to reconsider staying here if timely check-in matters.

She worked with me effortlessly. Poof! We made the date and off we headed to her BNB. Ernie was surprised and happy. That was my goal. I'd like to share a little history of this beautiful home: This magnificent oceanfront home was built in 1914 by Louise Wise Lewis Frances, the niece, and heir to the Henry Flagler fortune. When this house was built it was a social gathering place and still is to this day. From the pinewood floors to the beautiful antique hand-carved mantel around the fireplace, this house retains the elegance of a bygone era. The warmth and hospitality of Kimberly the Innkeeper is beyond compare. You'll feel welcome the moment you arrive and you'll be making plans to return before you leave. Kimberly cooked a wonderful breakfast for us two days in a row. She seemed to really be happy and good with what she does. Thank you again Kimberly. Ernie and I will see you again. Pros: There are three levels of rooms to choose from. Everything was comfy and clean. Great breakfast. Right on the beach. Restaurants in walking distance. Friendly Innkeeper(Kimberly). Cons: Parking can be tight, but doable. Stairs are hard to climb. We got used to them after a few times. Check her place out soon! PS: I forgot to leave the key to our room. I discovered it when I got home. Kimberly was so understanding about the mishap. I mailed the key the very next day. It all worked out ok.

We were steps from the beach which was perfect for us. We were a short drive across the Bridge of Lions to get to St. Augustine and St. George St. We were also not far from Vilano Beach. Everything was convenient for us. Our bed was comfortable in the Safari room. It was the pet friendly room so we had our own patio and it lead to the back yard. The bathroom to us seemed like it was bigger than the bedroom though, but it makes sense, they put a wall in the room to separate the bedroom and the bathroom. It made the bed kind of narrow when walking to get to the bathroom. From reading up on the history of the House of Sea and Sun, we found that our room was said to be haunted, and people would wake up to hear dancing and music. This is where they would dance back in the day. This house was built for one of Henry Flagler's family members. They said it was completed around 1914. There are 6 bedrooms in this home. It was nice to get to see all of them before I left. You can tell they nicely kept the old character of this home. Our breakfast was alright the first day, and got better the next day. They had pancakes, eggs, and ham, danishes, orange juice, and coffee to name a few. They also have an afternoon snack of crackers and cheese, and fruit as well as wine if you let them know in advance. It was definitely a relaxing nice stay. Since they are dog friendly, they also have 3 resident pomeranians. It definitely makes for an even more fun stay since our shihtzu Mocha Coconut can play with them once he is got use to them.

THE OCEAN GALLERY REVIEW: 310 PREMIER VISTA WAY…read more In planning for our one week yearly summer beach getaway to St. Augustine, we came across a lovely beach condo at the Ocean Gallery. It was the most expensive rental place for us so far (over $3000), but it had a beautiful view of the beach and looked very nice in the pictures. What we found upon arriving was the exact opposite of what was in the ad. All of the things wrong should have been caught if the complex was managed well and they checked each unit BEFORE it was rented to the next guest! Let me list the many things that we found: The bathroom sink in the second bath barely drained. Th toilet in the second bathroom was loose and the maintenance people said they needed to replace it, so to be very careful in using it. The toilet in the first bathroom ran all the time. The screen porch screen was off its track. The closet door was also off track. The door to the patio was broken and could not be locked. Broken baseboard pulled away from the wall in the main bedroom. Old, stained, and torn furniture on the patio. (I have a great picture). Along with all of these problems, the kitchen and the glass patio doors were SO FILTHY that we had to go out and buy cleaning supplies to wash the doors and cabinets in the kitchen before we would consider putting our food in the cabinets or enjoying the patio. Because it was LABOR DAY WEEKEND, we were not able to talk to the management the day that we arrived. So we enjoyed St Augustine as best we could, but a few days before we left, we spoke to Anne, the manager of the Ocean Gallery. We were very unsatisfied with her response...that is the main reason I wanted to let other renters know that this company is ONLY interested in getting your money but not in keeping you happy! It should be the responsibility of the rental company to check our each unit BEFORE it is rented! The renter should not have to bring such a long list to the management while they are trying to enjoy their one-week beach vacation! This is NOT THE TRUE GEM that I always look for and I would say RENTERS BEWARE OF THE OCEAN GALLERY!! It is NOT MANAGED WELL!!!
