Extremely unprofessional and unorganized. I purchased online one evening and never received a…read moreconfirmation number or email so I immediately called the next morning. After finally reaching the owner she claimed that there was no email confirmation or certificate to prove that I had made a purchase, it would just be in her files and I would just need to state my name when calling to schedule. She assured me that it would work and I trusted her because after all, I had proof of payment through my credit card. 11 months goes by and I call to talk about scheduling and she claims my minutes expired, although she didn't know who she was talking to. She suggested I could be one of three people who made purchases before her business practices changed. I actually wasn't one of the three people she mentioned, so apparently there are several of us in the same situation. She was very rude when I wanted to discuss with her what had happened. I never once asked for my money back, I actually wasn't able to ask for anything because she wouldn't even allow me to speak after I said I wasn't any one of those 3 people. Eventually I even gave up on the idea of floating at her establishment because of her unprofessional manner in the way she talked to me. I was just going to simply give the business owner my opinion on the way she dealt with the matter because I personally feel you need to confront the owner with the problem before writing a poor review. She would not allow me to talk and was very irrational when I asked her to please let me speak. She hung up on me and therefore I feel writing a review is my only way to let her know that it was very unprofessional to deal with a client in such a manner. First, she could have sent a simple email confirmation with rules, restrictions and proof of purchase. Secondly, listening to a customer before one gets defensive would be some wise business advice. I wasn't even upset and just wanted an explanation but she wouldn't even know that because she instantly assumed I was angry and started ranting before I could even talk. I wasn't asking for any money back, I actually wasn't asking for anything other than to be heard. I wanted to let her know of my disappointment that I hadn't received an email confirmation or certificate with proof of purchase. I simply trusted her by relying on my credit card statement as proof of purchase and I took her word on the fact that she would have it on file when I called. I regret the choice of trusting her as a business owner. To be honest, I have never dealt with a business owner with such bizarre behavior and business tactics. Research your float options as there are so many great float establishments throughout the United States and Fredericksburg Floats is NOT one of them.

Stacey was great and explained the whole process. Once I was ready it took me about 10 minutes to get used to it but once I did it was amazing. I was so relaxed that I feel asleep until the session was almost over. Once out I felt like I had a full body deep tissue massage but without residual soreness of having the stress forced out. I will definitely be back.

This was my first time and the staff member explained everything and answered my questions patiently. I really enjoyed this experience and feel it will probably be a monthly thing for me. I was nervous about floating but needless to say I hoped in and the next thing I knew I was waking up! lol I felt very relaxed. I also enjoyed the hot tea. I would've enjoy it more if they had some sugar to go with it though.

I'd used one of the four visits when the pandemic happened. So my first time back was in November 2020. At this visit, I was advised that the other two prepaid visits would expire if I didn't use them within two weeks and there was no way to extend the expiration. I would need to contact management with any further concerns. The location was nice, the float was great, and the relaxation room was relaxing, but I feel bamboozled for buying the 4 float package that 'never expires' only to be told they would expire. I absolutely do not recommend prepaying for visits without getting the details IN WRITING. IMHO, nice float location but the sales tactics were a little shady, though it could have been just one dishonest employee. Beware!

The owner April was so helpful showing me around the place and explaining the benefits and procedure for the booking. They have two bathrooms for changing, tea, showers to rinse between the sauna and cold plunge and nice towels. The whole place is simple yet trendy and relaxing. Starting with the sauna, I enjoyed that it was hot but not overwhelmingly so. The shower in between the sauna and plunge was fancy and got hot quick. The cold plunge had two different temps- one in the 50's and one in the 40's. You can decide to do a 1,3, or 5 minute plunge and I was able to stick it out for the 3 minute one. April kept me distracted and time went by so quickly. Overall I really loved this spot and hope to add it to my routine!

When it first opened, everything was great: clean, shiny, well functioning showers and pods. My one minor complaint is the water temperature of the pod. Granted, I run a little colder than most being anemic, but the temperature is lukewarm at best. I know it's not meant to be a sauna, but I would really prefer a warmer temperature. You do get used to it, but particularly in the winter months, I want my water heated past indoor pool temperature. 84-88 is the temperature best suited for aquatic therapy and this seems more like it's in the high 70s. Thankfully, my showers have always worked though the last time I was present, a customer was reaming out the employee as her water pressure was super low and the water was ice cold. Personally, I'd have left the room during the pod to be moved to a different room rather than enduring but that's just me. Nevertheless, the employee still handled things with grace and professionalism. My pod experience this last go round was different than that first year. I can tell that the pods have seen a lot of use; it shows. The interior handle used to open and close was missing. This made it more cumbersome to slide my doors close (or open them at the end). The finish is peeling and all in all, it looks like some maintenance is overdue. The lounge area could stand to have an additional oxygen bar since there are only two tanks and matching cords. I've noticed when people come out, they sit in those pods but don't always get the oxygen. Maybe directing these people to the back orientation room would be better and allow the lounge area the ability to provide oxygen to more folks? All in all, it's an okay experience. I do feel a bit more rested coming out but I usually always follow this up with a nice soak in my tub afterward.

I noted in other reviews that it's mandatory to arrive 30 minutes early for first float orientation. This fact wasn't emphasized when I called to make my appointment so I can see why there might be some confusion. Perhaps setting first appointments for 1.5 hours might make this more clear. Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly staff person who requested I put on plastic slippers and leave my shoes begin. This was a nice touch. Later I noted the slippers are soaked in a cleaning solution. I appreciate this as the slippers can then be reused. Next the staff person gave me a quick tour and showed me to the video room. The video was one part advertisement, one part orientation and one part sales pitch to buy a franchise. This last bit seemed a little much given I hadn't tried the float yet but i understand this is business. I returned to the lounge to wait my turn. A previous floater had just come out and the staff asked how things had gone. Apparently the shower didn't function well but the float was good. My turn came up and I was escorted back. I noted there were multiple float pod rooms. I was given a quick orientation to the room. The staff person opened the pod and said "This is where the magic happens!" All I can say here is there must be a generational difference in this phrases meaning. The staff person left and I turned on the shower. Ice cold water streamed out. I fiddled with the tap trying to get some warmth. Eventually managed some lukewarm water after a great amount of time. Then I couldn't shut the tap off!! My float time was beginning as I heard the narrator began her instructions. Finally got the shower down to a trickle and stepped in. The water here was warm clean and comfortable. It took my shower jangled nerves a while to calm down but when I did I had an excellent float experience. The end of the float was signaled by a loud door chime tone. The shower situation was no better. This time it was scalding hot water. Really took me right out of relaxation mode pretty quickly. I left the room for some oxygen bar time. The staff person set me up quickly and asked how the soak was. I noted all the shower issues. She acknowledged them and said she could add a note to my file so I would be in a different room Next time. This part mystified me. Why not give new customers the best experience this time? Additionally she noted that the prior customer had said the same thing about the shower. Apparently we had both been in the same room. There were other rooms so I don't understand why subject customers to a non working shower. Overall the float was great, staff was kind, the place was clean, but I wouldn't return based on the shower issues.

We showed up early as instructed, only to find the door locked. Lights off. No staff. Nothing. Their sign said Sunday "By Appointment Only," yet apparently even when you have an appointment, no one shows up. I called their Bethesda location, and the first receptionist claimed we weren't in the system--even though I booked on Wednesday at 2:22 PM (I checked my call log and took a screenshot). Someone took all of my details including my credit card, but somehow my appointment "didn't exist." Then the owner got on the phone and said she actually could see me in their system but didn't know what happened. She blamed a software switch on Tuesday... but I booked on Wednesday. So that excuse made no sense. Her only solution was to ask if we could come tomorrow. No, we actually can't--because unlike her business, we plan ahead. I took the weekend off from my real estate schedule to celebrate. We booked a hotel in Tysons, hired a dog sitter, and made a whole day of this. And it was completely wasted. What really stunned me was the total lack of care. No apology that felt meaningful. No attempt to make it right. No offer of a complimentary service. Nothing. I'm a business owner myself, and I would never handle a mistake like this this way. Our anniversary plans were basically ruined because this spa didn't bother to honor our confirmed appointment--or provide any real remedy afterward. Don't waste your time or money here. If they can't handle a simple booking, I wouldn't trust them with anything else either.
