Edit as of 8:19pm, the same day as I posted this review. They sent an EXECUTIVE to my house to "apologize" UNANNOUNCED but it really felt manipulative. All of this could have been done via email or messaging through Yelp. She went on and on about "oh that's not following protocol etc etc" since we have a NO SOLICITING sign. 5 mins of my time turned into 15 mins and she kept going on and being pushy, trying to get me to accept a gift card. No thank you. This is harassment at this point. ----------- This review was for a window quote only. Someone came door to door and scheduled us a free quote. I needed to reschedule that appt and was told it could be done. A salesperson, Damien, showed up anyway so I went with it. My husband was not available, which I think he took advantage of. He did his normal sales tactics of building rapport. He was basically reading off of the PDF in front of him. I did learn a bit about windows, but the entire "quote" process took 2hrs! It was my mistake to let him stay as long as he did. This was basically my first encounter with a door to door salesman. The quote was $55k. Obviously, we aren't going to pay that. It's absurd. As soon as Damien leaves, he's able to get it down to $39k. Still absurd. Now come to the day that I had initially rescheduled for (and cancelled due to Damien showing up already). Someone STILL shows up and starts being pushy about why we didn't go with them. Ok so our house was already like pretty much smooth finish but we wanted it cleaned up by a professional stucco contractor. When we first found elor energy we thought maybe they were more for windows and stuff but then the salesperson was really informative and showed us their catalogue of all their other products and everything. It was really nice knowing we were working with a larger type of company rather than just like a handyman or something. My neighbors have horror stories of their handymen or small outfits really butchering their houses so we really didn't want that experience. We are closing on a new house and are currently in escrow. I wanted to move forward with the window project and planned to make monthly payments after completion, but I insisted that no credit inquiry be made until after we close escrow.
