We had Sandoval Roofing come out and fix the area of our roof that showed leaks after it'd rain. Especially under where we had solar panels that weren't attached very well thanks to Sullivan Solar (Sullivan is out of business now). We really liked what the owner had to say, in regard to how they do the work, and why they do it so well, along with their warranty. Another reason we chose Sandoval, is because they stuck to what they do best (roofing), and partnered with a small, really knowledgeable, solar company that they worked closely with, who reinstalled our solar panels better than they had been. I contacted Sandoval roofing to check out a leak that I thought was coming from my tile roof. Raymond, the owner, came and quickly diagnosed the problem as a leak in the sliding glass door frame. 6 months ago, we hired Sandoval to replace broken tiles on our roof and seal all pipe flashings and seal cement around roof penetrations. At the end of the job, we could still see a couple of broken tiles so they sent someone back to take care of those. A month ago, we had a leak in the upstairs bathroom so we called a few roofers to come give us an estimate. Imagine our shock and surprise when they told us that many of the seals around the pipes are already cracked and the 2 dormers were never repaired. In addition, we were told that just placing cement around the pipes is not the correct way to do things. A metal flashing should have been placed instead of sealing with cement, which is the old way of doing things. We also had a lot of cracked tiles that were just sealed with silicone (these were on areas of the roof that we could not see from the ground). The tiles Sandoval used were not a good match with our current tiles as they do not interlock and therefore, now have gaps. After hearing similar reports from different roofing companies about the "work" we had done just 6 months ago, we feel the work quality provided by Sandoval was not worth the money we paid. It would've been nice to hear other people say, "Wow, your roofer did a great job with your repairs." Instead, we're left feeling like we got scammed. read more

We had Sandoval Roofing replace our aging composite roof. Raymond Sandoval provided a competitive quote, helped us with the material selection and got us scheduled. They were pretty busy at the time and I was a little surprised at the lead time, but then the other roofers we contacted were quoting similar lead times. The wait was worth it. Raymond came out about week before the start date and walked us through what was going to happen, the areas where he needed to access the roof and put us at ease about the process and what to expect. Our home is two story and about 2800 square feet. His crews showed up early Monday morning and were complete by Wednesday afternoon. His crews were well staffed and didn't waste anytime. The clean up was excellent and there was no damage to any of our landscaping. Raymond's quote included the minor amount of decking and facia board that needed replacing. Raymond suggested that if I provided the paint he would have his crews roll it on the facia board to provide a little more protection under the new flashing his crew installed. This trimmed out the roof and really gave it a nice new look. We were very pleased with Raymond's work and his personal interaction with us. When we called with questions, he answered right away or got right back with us. No waiting for a response. Neutral on this company. We were on schedule to do the repairs on our roof. We got the call that they are ready earlier than expected, great! Unfortunately we were not going to be home due to work schedule. I asked if they coming during while not being home would be an issue and they assured there wasn't. Within a few minutes of arrival I was called with issues... during work. Sorted it out... shortly after more calls and then the alarm company called saying there was an alarm set off. Supposedly they removed part of the roof, entered the attic and then entered the garage. That was fun to sort out while giving a class for work. The owner did call after my "not very nice message" to them, while trying to work. He explained what happened and said it would be ok. Definitely not an easy feeling while conducting work. Work completed very quickly. 1800 later with about 4 hours of work. I don't judge on specialty work but was surprised on price compared to work preformed. This could be normal so I am not basing this review on that. We have had a rain storm since the work was performed and we didn't notice any obvious leaks. This is the only reason for a 4 star instead of a 3 star. read more

Had a roof leak from a roof mounted exhaust fan, called another company first for an estimate, then called Sandoval. Ray insisted he won't smear sealant but replace the fan and fix it for good. His estimate came in lower. His men did the job quickly and were thorough. When it rained a few weeks later he texted to ensure no leaks.
