Terrible experience. Definitely won't be back. Avoid, avoid, avoid!! Unfriendly service and unwelcoming atmosphere. Too worried about underage kids to worry about serving legal paying adult customers. read more

They are only getting a 2 star review because the food was pretty good (after waiting a total.of 2 1/2 hours). This is a new establishment so I wanted to give them the benefit of doubt. But the whole experience was aweful. We waited an 1 hour and half for our table which was tough but we still had high hopes it would be worth it. We got our appetizers pretty quickly which were good but very small portions. Then it went bad to worse. Right before our entrees came out they let us know they ran out of buns for one of our burgers. When the food came out, they actually ran out of buns for 2 of the entrees, so those burgers got slices of white bread as the bun. We were still there for the long haul, but then the waitress let us know that one of our meals wasn't coming out at all. So, after waiting an hour plus for a food they tell us when the food comes out that one of us aren't getting food. After all of this the dessert came out(funnel cake fries) missing the caramel dipping sauce. So, at the end of this all, we kindly asked to speak with a manager. And this is when it went way South. The manager, who was actually one of the owners, deflected the blame on the waitress and ended up being very condescending, and even taunting us that we couldn't try their "specialty beer" they had on draft. They did give us a discount of the meal, which we appreciated, but how condescending the owner was, it still didn't help our experience. We won't be back. read more

Best patio in Elmhurst by far!! Great food and awesome beer!! My favorite is the new beer called elm hefe but there are so many great ones to choose from. They know what they are doing! Definitely my favorite place in town. read more

They have really good food and beer but the plate sizes are getting smaller and smaller and the food selection isn't what it used to be. The meat and cheese plate cost $16 and only comes with tiny pieces of meat and two small pieces of cheese. Ridiculous prices for small amount of food. I am Disappointed because I used to love coming here with my husband. read more

Visited on 2/13/18 around 6:10 pm. Great place! Great burgers! Great service (Crystal)! Great value! Would have been a solid five stars butI have a tough time with a brewery establishment being kid friendly. Unfortunately, our table backed right up to the kid area with three screaming kids; parents sitting right next to us, but didn't do much to curtail their kids. I get that they wanted a night out, but so did we! We loved the place and the food, though. We'll be back, but will make sure (even wait) to secure a table away from the "kid zone." read more

The food was good! But very bad service, after waiting longer then a hour to get a table we were seated and then it took another hour to get our food in which one person did not get because they were out and told us at last minute. Then two others burgers came with bread instead of buns because they were out. read more

i grew up a few blocks away from this place and it's really an awesome addition to the neighborhood. the outside patio has a great ambience for summer nights. the beer selection & flights are amazing. need to come back for the food!! read more

Great vibe, delicious flights, committed & friendly owners. A bit pricey but a great venue for date night or meetup with friends.

Excellent beer, great food. The service was excellent. This was the first brewery I have been to that I thought all the beers were good. The bbq chicken flatbread was outstanding, and the Italian sausage sandwich was also very good. Nice outdoor seating also. Great solid beer and food. We will be back many times. read more

I have visited Elmhurst Brewing Company on three occasions for different reasons. My last visit was the first time that I ordered food. The food was good, but I would have liked to have seen a few more options on the menu. The service was great and the food was served quickly. I was on the patio once over the summer and it was great. I'm looking forward to sitting out there again in the summer. It is definitely family friendly, at least early in the evening. read more

Met with friends and loved the atmosphere. Started with a few 4 oz to see what we'd like before getting a pint. Waitress was friendly but brought out our beers and spilled some on the table getting the menus soaked. Never apologized or brought a towel. Didn't come back much afterwards and they were not busy for it was about 2pm on a Saturday. We decided to skip food and more beer and left. Gave the extra star for the beer. We'll give another shot for we always know everyone has a bad day. read more

Great decor and friendly staff. Beer is nearly undrinkable though. Please figure out the beer as I can't recommend this place with awful beer. read more

I have been here a couple of times, but this is my first review. I had some AMAZING wings here with a great glaze and for some reason, the ranch was especially good (homemade I assume). They were so good! They were out of a few beers but that happens, sometimes things are just popular! I had a Julius squeezer and a westy IPA and they were both awesome. I live in the area and I'm starting to think I should go more often! read more

Great addition to Elmhurst! I have been disappointed with so many of the other new restaurants and bars opening in the area that this really exceeded my expectations! Family friendly (my kids loved their dinners), our entrees were great, drinks delish, great service. We will be back for sure and probably often. Cool space, kids area in back, will have outdoor seating in the summer. Excited for Elmhurst Brewing! Definitely check it out. read more

The only good thing about the place was some of the beer was decent. Other than that, everything was downhill. We went on a Friday night and had to wait 30 mins which was expected. But there were lots of empty tables while we and other customers waited. When we got a table and ordered the food, it took forever to come out. We ordered pot roast tots for appetizer and they came out cold and at the same time with the other food. Our 2 kids were complaining about being hungry. I ordered the lager burger and wanted it medium rare. It came out almost well done. My wife ordered the breaded pork sandwich and the fries were cold. Our kids shared a kids mac and cheese and it tasted funny. Our kids really wanted ice cream so we ordered rainbow sherbet and waited 10 mins for 1 scoop of ice cream. Horrible service and food and never going back. read more

It helps that Pete Dolan, one of the owners, is a close friend. But after seeing the Pub constructed and then coming back this past Tuesday night, we were impressed by the ambiance and energy in the place. Peter and co-owner, Fraser, are tuned into their customers and have a talented brew-master. Loved my drink, a Margarita, and then the selection of beers. Had a tasty flatbread and an assortment of appetizers. Peter and Fraser are committed to finding what pleases their customers. Be sure to check in with them when you are there. read more

We came here after a birthday party and it was a perfect place to go after dinner. The service, atmosphere and beer were good! It's great to have a more hip and trendy place in Elmhurst, finally! We had done flights of the beers and some were good and some were so so but that comes with the territory. Our favorite was the Schwarts black lager. Keep it up, Elmhurst Brewery! read more

Wow- what a new gem in Elmhurst! We held a party on the second level (Private Space) and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The owner of EBC happened to be there and was so hospitable. The food/drinks/service during the event was top notch. Can't wait to go back. read more

Great bar atmosphere if you don't mind some kids. Nice selection of draft brews. Personally I found the flights to be a bit on the small side. I had a lager burger which was decent. The fried pickles were amazing. With so many bar choices in Elmhurst this one offers a little twist on the usual. Worth checking out if you're bored with your regular watering hole. read more

Good beer, food ok. Short on staff, appetizers come after meal here. Had a burger, it was just ok. Kind of dry. Probably won't go back, other than the beer. read more

The people here are the nicest! My sister and I have been going at least once a week for their crowlers. The beers are awesome. The campfire Nutella is amazing. It says stout, but don't be scared! It's not dark: it's sweet and like a summer treat in a cup! Just a warning, if they say sour beer on the menu, they mean SOUR beer. It is not for the faint of heart, but I love sour beer so I think it's delish! (My sister, not so much.) We tip in cash when we we go and the workers always seem super appreciative and friendly. They never give us a hard time just for ordering beer or try to push the food to get us to spend more. Currently, they can only take orders and cards over the phone, I wish there was an online system, but they're so friendly, we don't mind calling. Go hit them up and support local business! Hopefully when this is all over, we can go and enjoy some food on their patio! Looks like it would be fun. read more

Attentive staff and great burgers! Fantastic beer selection! I recommend trying a flight. Nice play area for the kids until 7pm. We'll be back! read more

I love the food and beers here. Great service too. Beers have incredible flavors that pop.

We have dined here with kids and without and both options are great. Great food and fantastic beer options. Beautiful outside space and kids love the kids area. We also hosted a large private party here and the service was impeccable. Setting up the party was seamless and we were very pleased with the food and drinks as well as the private mezzanine space. read more

We said we would never return after a fish and chips misadventure, but we did. Came back for the beer. The food is better at Red Arrow, though the vegetable flatbread here is very good (and the fish and chips has disappeared off the menu.) But Red Arrow doesn't have Fools Gold, golden sweet stout. That alone is worth the trip. read more

This one and only Brew Pub is definitely a great addition to the Elmhurst community. Outstanding beers (Go To Helles is my personal favorite) to choose from and the food is outstanding. Great atmosphere and a friendly staff make this my new "go to" place in town. read more

My wife and I were in for a visit from TX and went to Elmhurst Brewing Company for dinner and drinks. Top notch venue from the decor, atmosphere, and staff. The food was amazing and I tried several beers and did not find one that I didn't enjoy. My favorite was the #4 Lost City. I wish the owners would open a location in Frisco TX! read more

Despite advice from friends who tried this new local restaurant and did not recommend we thought we would give it a go. The service was extremely slow and the staff inattentive. When food arrived some of the order was incorrect and the food was lukewarm. Very disappointed at the quality and quantity of food considering their prices. We won't return nor would we reccomend. read more

Love this place to the beer, the food, the bartenders and the owners, both of whom have stopped by to chat. Great addition to Elmhurst

I expected good beer and EBC delivered but was really impressed with the variety. Grapefruit DIPA was my favorite and 13th tap Pastry Stout was a nice sweet surprise and good way to finish. Tried several appetizers and all were great. Lots of flavor in the pot roast tots. Good pricing on all and family friendly read more

I was excited to try this new place out. I live in Elmhurst and was hoping to find a new favorite closer to home. We want on a Saturday close to 6pm and got seated immediately. Surprising. Until we ordered and tasted the beer and the food. It was not terrible, but certainly not worth recommending or returning. I had high hopes, but was let down. The concept is good, but the food menu needs a complete redo. read more

The lagers are good, but PLEASE learn to make a proper IPA.

We came here for an unconventional baby shower on an extremely hot day this summer. The shower was planned for outside and I was preparing for the worst - I don't care how cute a patio is when it's approximately the temperature of the sun outside. Luckily, the mama-to-be felt similarly about melting in the summer sun and the brewery kindly moved us inside, upstairs for the event. It's a cute space - the upstairs is by no means huge but it is nice, with ample table and chair space, a small bar, room to move around and chat, and even a couple of lounge-y chairs around a small table. We received tickets for drinks and I tried a couple of ciders - not brewed in house, but still absolutely delicious and a brand i'd never seen before. I had a pear and a hibiscus flavor and both were amazing. There were small bites of course too, and the flatbreads we had were delicious - the bbq chicken had a nice zip to it, and the veggie one had perfectly roasted vegetables upon a chewy, delicious flatbread. The service was super attentive and lovely, and they were receptive even when it was getting a little hot upstairs to making sure we were comfortable. All in all a great place to hold an event and I'm sure a fun place overall to stop in for a beer and bite. read more

Great food.... Best experience was our server Tomi... Very friendly and helpful with the menu. Oh and by the way Tomi was not bad on the eyes.... read more

Only restaurant I've been to that penalizes you for being a party of two. The back half of the dining area was completely empty and they made us wait because the tables were for four. We stood and watched as bigger parties were seated. After we complained, the owner/manager did seat us but was very condescending. We will not be in a hurry to return. read more

We live near here, so we thought we would try it out. Very disappointed. For a place that wants to have a credible beer list, they serve in cheap plastic cups? Menu was limited to sandwiches. Sandwich was good. Would not put on the Cubs-Sox game, just rugby? Cavernous, warehouse like feel. Oh well read more

Great experience on first time visit with family that lives in Elmhurst. Beers sampled were very good. Tried the Helles and the Underpass Ale. Food was good quality with variety for adults and children. Great value for price. Will be back on my next visit to Elmhurst. Employees were helpful and friendly. read more

Finally a unique bar/restaurant in Elmhurst. The food and beer is excellent backed with friendly staff and management. Definitely will be going back. read more

Play area for kids in the back is an amazing addition that I wish more places had as my 20 month old is not the best at restaurant behavior. Maybe chaotic if you didn't have kids, but we loved it. Pickle fries were the best I've ever had - sliced into match sticks and fried for just the right bread to pickle ratio. read more

Best food in elmhurst I have had! Good options from burgers to great salads. Not the normal elmhurst bar food. Definitely recommend the flight of beers, all top notch!! read more
