If you are in the Aurora area it is worth stopping in Brother Chimp. The brewery is much larger than expected with two areas , one with games, a stage for music and seats. The other is the bar with tables. We walked in an d were immediately welcomed. Unfortunately, I did not ask the gentleman his name, but he was so nice and welcomed us as first time visitors. I had a cider and my husband had the Tropical Chimp and the All for one. They serve snacks and we order the cheese flight . For $15 it was 3 cheeses and crackers in plastic wrap. We were a bit surprised when it arrived, but the cheese was not bad . The entire experience was welcoming and relaxing. Their beers are available at several local tap houses. When in the area we would visit again.

Lots of pride touches for this June ‍

Solid beer options with a gorgeous wood elements. We were here on a quiet Tuesday night but they clearly have a ton of events going on. They have some snacks but it's mostly bring your own food. Also always love it when they offer a flight with an easy carrying tray. Well done for that

Brother Chimp in North Aurora is a cool brewery with a coziness. It isn't as big as some others. Lots of styles. A lot of activities like live music. They have snacks and food trucks. Came in after doing business around here. It seems like a very chill place. There's a bar and a few tables. It doesn't have a lot of room inside so it's not good for big groups. This is best if only bringing a few people. I got a seat at the bar. Wanted to try a few beers but had to choose one because I had to drive home sadly. I had a Brigadoon. It's $6 a pint. This is an extra special bitter English ale, but wasn't that bitter though. I also snacked on a bag of Pretzel Crack. It's $3.99 each and they have several flavors including Dill Pickle. These are made over in Warrenville so they're really representing local stuff. Fun atmosphere but it's kind of subdued a bit. It has quite a few beers to choose from. They have good snacks and there's food trucks on weekends.

In Aurora for a night after going to the Christkindelmarket. We decided to search for some local breweries and discovered Brother Chimp! What a cool place! We walked in and were greeted by the pop-up restaurant worker who was there, as well as the kind man working. A great atmosphere!! Light snacks can be purchased there, which we did - having one of their cheese boards. We had their Christmas Ale, and went home with a four pack of it! A great place that we'd highly recommend!

Outside seating at Brother Chimp waiting for you!

New to the area and it has all the great things needed for success. A vision, a mission , great products, service that is customer focused and exceptional. Unfortunately, started at the worst possible time due to COVID but did not blink and dealt with the shutdown while providing great beer curbside. Now with the limited relaxing of business rules take the time to visit outside and enjoy the taste of the brewmaster.

There was a good size crowd there which added to the experience because everyone was enjoying their delicious beers and it was great meeting people. It felt like a community gathering place. It's a big place so it can handle a lot of people without it feeling overly crowded. There was live music on the upstairs level that everyone was enjoying. The beers were fantastic. It's a challenge to decide what beer you want because there is a lot of delicious options. I went with the ESB because it's a great style of beer you can't often find. Others in our group recommend their Hazy IPA. Easily a 5 star rating. Make sure to visit this amazing brewery in Batavia. Russ & Jan Livonia, MI

A good amount of choices, whether it's light or a strong one that will kick ass. They also have a food menu, with basics such as pretzels and snacks. For the most part it's good. It's located in an old building downtown that has a couple levels. The upstairs is often used for private events like parties. If it's not available then it's hard to get a seat anywhere. The seats at the bar fill up, and there's only a few tables. It's about $7 a pint. There's a few of the more stronger ones that cost more though. Best one we had the last time was the 3 Amigos Imperial Stout. Full bodied and thick as a brick too. There's notes of ancho chilis, cacao nibs, cinnamon, and vanilla. Also got something to eat. It's $8 for the Bavarian Pretzel. Helps to absorb the alcohol. They also have chips and salsa among the food options. Got to add it to the list of breweries that seem to be everywhere in this city. It's located on Shumway Avenue in a historic old building full of history. This is a popular place to have private events or whatever.

It doesn't look like a brewery would be there. Actually it is. They specialize in fruity ones and sours, so not beers that are hoppy obviously. Beers are typically hoppy to some point, but these aren't. It's for sure a type not many are used to having. These all have a lot of fruit, but what's unique is the fruit is added after the brewing process. Adds a lot of fruit flavor. These often have the consistency of a smoothie. It's about $8 a can. They brew in pretty small batches at Church Street Brewery in Itasca, and serve these at this taproom. Best we had the last time was the Bistro Pineapple Strawberry Habanero. This is a Berliner style weisse. Consistency was thick like a smoothie would be. This had a lot of fruit flavor, but it also had a tartness. For sure we could try some of these beers again. Thankfully there were a couple of canned options available to sample. Their prices are comparable to other specialty pint prices. I'll definitely be back when in the area to try out another fresh option.
