We were pleasantly surprised to find out apps were 25% off- which meant we had to try the pretzel. I think it may have been the biggest pretzel I've ever seen in my life. The outside was a melt-in-your-mouth fried texture with the inside being soft and doughy in the best way. Paired with any of the 3 dips, it made for the most delicious appetizer that essentially filled up our entire table itself. Special shoutout to the arse sauce & their honey mustard- sooo good. The table also tried the buffalo chicken wrap (YUM), caprese sandwich (good!), and penne alla vodka (somewhat mid but better as leftovers). Sweet potato tots were the perfect side. This was my third time here and they honestly never disappoint. Service & food always hit. My go to spot when visiting Plainfield!

You blow away a sure thing now for an unknown later. So if I wanted to be seated, served and done within an hour we would've went to McDonald's. Of course it's not really an appetizer if someone has a whole bunch of these watching a game. There's also a meatless version for those looking for plant based hotness. A big place along with a chaotic feeling. It's got options if not wanting to stay. There's a separate entrance for takeout. Of course many come here to watch games. There's tons of TVs on the walls. Also beers. It's $9 for the Anchor Bar Lager. This comes in a big ass glass though. A lot of levels of spiciness for the wings allowing for all preferences. It's about $15 to get the Meatless Wings. Kind of small but there's a good amount. Then choose how hot to get these. Famous brand that has a few locations across the country. It's got plenty of extreme spiciness. They even have versions okay for vegetarians.

I got the boneless wings (for sauce I chose garlic Parmesan & one off the menu that the waitress recommended and said was comparable to a teriyaki). The wings were SO over breaded, they were hard and both of the sauces were terrible. Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I agreed that these were easily the worst wings we've ever had, we each only ate one of each flavor and had enough. My boyfriend got the pork tenderloin. He asked about size and was told it was pretty large, when it came out it was the size of a thin chicken patty. He said the taste was okay, but nothing special. The fries were good. For appetizers, we got fried pickles, cheese curds, and pretzel bites. They were all about what you would expect for bar food. Although, our food was not great, the burgers that other people were eating looked delicious. We would definitely come back to try those, seemed like burger was the way to go!

I figured it was about 2,000 calories - a whole day's worth of food. It was very good, and at $5.50 it was an incredible value. I didn't spot any nacho cheese sauce, just melted cheddar, which is much better for nachos unless they're the ballpark kind where you just dip the chips in a pile of gooey nacho cheese sauce - which also can be very good but is an entirely different thing. The avocado looked to be about half of a medium avocado, very ripe and fresh, and the pico de gallo was also fresh and plentiful. There were enough black beans to balanced the dish, and a huge dollop of sour cream, which for some reason I love on nachos even though they have a bunch of cheese. Of all the restaurant experiences I've had in the last ten years, this is one of only a few that have been outstanding in quality and value. I'll try the Wednesday pizza next - I'm a bit of a connoisseur of that, too, and it's half-price on Wednesday.

(Posted a video, not sure if it will show up on our review but you should be able to find it when searching images) The mild wings were really yummy! They were very flavorful! The garlic parmesan sauce was not my favorite... kind of blah and did not taste like there was any parmesan in the sauce... however the chicken wings were still cooked to perfect. Juicy chicken with a crispy coating.. the wings also were trimmed nicely.. no cartilage or gummy pieces. I would definitely dine here again! Mike & Denise's is one of several restaurants the owners have around town it seems. For certain this location is the best known. The prices can be kind of high on some things, okay for others. The inside dining area is also kind of hard to get through. Has a patio. There's a good amount of seating. Most people seem to get beers. Pretty expected with these going great with pizzas. It's about $9 for one of their seasonal cocktails. We got a couple including the Lucky Charm. A classic. This is made with coconut, Malibu coconut rum, orange juice, and pineapple juice. It's about $12 to get a personal pizza with a few toppings of your choosing. We got the build your own option. A great option is giardiniera because it's like a few toppings in one to be honest. The owners are great, they hire lots of local students and support local sports and organizations, and when the Bears pulled off that win over the Packers in the wild card, they were out of town but bought a round for the whole bar!
