Had some great pasta and pizza from this happening place in Oswego that's always crazy. It has plenty of seating but there's always a wait it seems. Riverside Pizza & Pub is one of the better hangouts for those having good times. A wait is worth it mostly. The prices are okay for the big portions. Coming in here it was a few minutes before getting seats at the bar. It's often a longer wait for getting a table. There's often games people are watching. A great place to come for it. Has plenty of big TVs on the walls. It's about $8 a pint for local beers. That's kind of a lot. A lot of cocktails are cheaper at happy hour. It's about $11 for a martini. These of course go pretty great with Italian food and they're cheaper at the happy hour too. It's about $13 for the Build Your Own Pasta. You choose sauces and toppings. Of course pizza is the main thing to get. There's a lot of great specials Got stuffed eating so much from here. It's got a couple other locations which are pretty much the same things to get really. We both enjoyed our meals and commented on how much we liked the atmosphere -- sports bar, but nice and clean and still family friendly. I've had lunch here several times with co-workers & this place is very consistent in terms of food quality. They have one of the best wings in my opinion, crunchy on the outside & tender on the inside. My other go-to is the super juicy, tender & tasty Pot Roast sandwich. Service is pretty quick (this is critical for lunchtime). That have plenty of seating & the environment is lively with a few monitors broadcasting sports. Our food was good and service was pretty quick and friendly. Hubs and I split the bruschetta chicken sandwich and pot roast sandwich- both very tasty and plenty of food! When my wife and I were trying to figure out where to through our daughter a graduation party, we look at a number of places. We became a bit overwhelmed, and decided to just go with Riverside due to it being close to home. After the party we couldn't be happier about our decision. The room was perfect size, the food was good, and possibly even more important, the wait staff was incredible. We were able to enjoy ourselves, mingle with our friends and family, and not once be concerned about the food or beverages. When the party was over we settled up the bill and I was amazed at the amount of food and service we had received for the price. Generally the food is pretty good. I like the monthly specials and half-priced days. *but, please train your servers that beverage cans don't go INSIDE the pint glass before serving them and you don't put the check tray in the take home containers. All those things carry so many germs. read more

First the good: The food was outstanding. I had a great Supreme Pizza for lunch. My wife had a huge bowl of salad which she enjoyed. The not so good: Wait service was terrible. It was lunch time and I can understand being busy and wait for the food was long but within tolerance. However, after the meal was delivered, our waitress never came by the table again until the bill. I finished my iced tea and was never offered a refill by her or other wait staff. When she delivered the bill, she said "be right back" and she didn't return. I paid by cash and walked with it to the counter after a wait. I handed it to another waiter who stared at me for a minute before offering to take it. Noise level from so many patrons was very loud. Ceilings are high and I would think some hanging baffles would do wonders for that. In future, any business I do here will be take out. read more

Where do I begin? Their food is awesome. Their drinks are great but tell me why the last few times we've been there. We've sat there for about 15 minutes before anybody came acknowledged us. Everybody else around us was getting served except for us. I finally had to get up and ask what was going on after that we had more people waiting on our table then we knew what to do with, but why should it come to that I noticed a person walked in and sat in the table behind us. The guy had his beer within minutes of sitting down. It's a pretty nice place. Just their service is really bad. I emailed them and they never got back to me about the situation and probably never will. The wife and I frequent that place multiple times a month and every time we go between drinks appetizers and food we spent closer to $200 every time we go. Needless to say we won't be back. So the pizza here is good, but it's just not amongst the best I've ever had. What's nice is that they are generous with the toppings, so you will find that your pizza will be thick due to the quantity of toppings on it. Please familiarize yourself with the specials available on a given night. The night I went rail drinks were available for three dollars. What really pushed this restaurant over the edge for me was the salad. I love salad and I'm picky when it comes to salad dressing. To me salad dressing is everything. Here it is especially good and it tastes homemade. I had a deconstructed wedge salad (possibly because it was chopped as opposed to in a wedge) which I prefer. I had a combination of ranch and blue cheese dressing and I absolutely loved having it in combination. I also asked and was provided with croutons. At some point I will get a pizza again, but I'm looking forward to trying something different like a burger. I also look forward to trying a different dressing like perhaps Cesar. She kept our drinks filled and checked in several times, making sure everything was perfect. Then came the star of the night: the Pizza of the Month, Coney Dog Pizza. It's described as beanless beef chili topped with Angus beef franks, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, finished with raw onions and yellow mustard. We asked for the mustard on the side, but honestly, we didn't even need it. The pizza was unbelievably good. The chili was flavorful without being overwhelming, the hot dogs were sliced thin and cooked just right, the cheese blend was spot-on, and the raw onions tied it all together. I am super impressed with what they did with the old Scoreboards! The inside is nice, clean, and spacious and the new menu has a ton of delicious looking options. They offer daily specials and happy hours. We went on a Tuesday early evening, which meant 1/2 price pizza and happy hour with $3.25 beers. The place was super busy, but we were still seated right away. Our waitress gave great service, and she made sure to check on us right before happy hour ended at 6 to see if we wanted to put in one more discounted drink. The beer was cold and the food was good. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and really enjoyed it. My family got a half sausage, half pepperoni and they seemed to like that as well. Came for dinner with the family. Great spot! Really enjoyed our food. Pizza is fantastic, kids loved it. We also got the Riverside salad, which was great.
