July 2020 COVID19 review…read more I've always enjoyed this location for Katzen Eye Group. THe staff is always patient. WIth the Covid outbreak, I was a little upset with having to use a kiosik to enter and update my information and scan my cards, as there was no publicly available hand sani at this station. Glad I had my own, but everyone who walks in there to register apparently has to use this and may not be as aware or cautious with this deadly virus. Some chairs were turned inward to force social distancing guidelines in the waiting room. The bathroom faucets are onces that you have to touch and hold down for the water come out. Again, no hand sani by the door to use after you open the bathroomo door to use, and the soap in the bathroom came out in small fuffly pumps. One pump was barely enough for a child's hand wash. Dr. Gianni's is FANTASTIC! Takes his careful time to make sure you leave with the proper vision, explains everything and is cautious! Not a great selection of frames. The woman who helped me with my frames was super nice, I don't remember her name but she had a beautiful chocolate complexion and was extremely patient with me and helped me to understand my insurance benefits.

Customer service and information matters. Website and Google reads the clinic doesn't open until…read more8:30. Clinic makes an appointment with a customer for 8. Patient shows up at 8:15 because the clinic doesn't open until "8:30." They apologize for the "website being wrong" and state "it's been an issue for a while and happens all the time" but then won't let the customer keep same appointment (even though they were admittedly in the wrong). If they can't get their website and appointments right, then communicate with their patients that known website is wrong and then won't honor a patient's appointment when they were in the wrong, why would I want them to look at my eyes? Let's start the patient/doctor relationship on a good note. Thankfully I just need a routine eye exam and it's not an emergency! I'll be finding a different eye clinic to have my eyes checked out! Johns Hopkins, do better, your patients have busy lives and our health matters, our time is valuable to us and to be treated poorly from the beginning of the relationship is very disappointing.

They go the extra mile to make sure that you are getting the right glasses, and their prices are super competitive.

This Doctor is horrible with children. I took my 5 year old to be seen there. The first appt was…read moreok. although after giving her steriod drops he told me we did not need to follow up. I ended up taking her back to see them becasue after 12 days and still problems with her eye something needed to be done. She threw a small fit in the office and cried of course she is in pain. He threatened her telling her that she had to go to the hospital and the were gonna put her to sleep and strap her down to a table to examine her. Of course that made matters worse. He then stood up and grabbed the papers off her chart and tore them up right in front of me and her. He told me my daughter was out of control and needed to be sedated in order to be examined. I did take her to GBMC and they treated herwithout a problem. She was not out of control but did everything the doctors asked. Please do not take your child to this man.

I tried to schedule appointments with him but he denied all my calls. Please don't get surgery with this doctor. Not to mention while in surgery I kept waking up and could feel all the pain of him cutting flesh off my eye.

My…read moreparents have been coming here every year and now I have been bringing my mom since she is by herself- I am not a patient. The doctor and care is excellent for her, BUT they really need to overhaul their appointment procedure. When you have a 9:30 appointment you expect to be seen at 9:30 or shortly thereafter. Every year without fail, the doctor shows up hours later beyond the appointment time. Usually we are here for at least 3 hours total which the majority of the time is spent waiting on the doctor. No one wants to waste a half day just at one appointment- it is unacceptable.
