If I could give this place 10 stars, I would without hesitation. This was hands down the BEST…read moreexperience I've ever had at any medical office--period. From the second I walked in, everything felt next-level: the staff was incredibly welcoming, the office was spotless and modern, and the entire visit ran like a perfectly tuned machine. But the real MVP of this experience was Ashlyn. I cannot say enough good things about her. She didn't just provide great service--she completely elevated the entire visit. She was unbelievably kind, insanely knowledgeable, and made me feel like I was the most important patient there. She explained everything in a way that actually made sense (which is rare), answered every question with patience, and somehow made an eye exam feel like a VIP experience. You can tell she genuinely cares about what she does and takes pride in making sure everything is perfect. That level of attention and professionalism is hard to find anywhere, let alone at a doctor's office. The doctor was also fantastic--thorough, efficient, and took the time to make sure I understood everything about my eye health. I walked out feeling confident, taken care of, and honestly a little blown away by how great the whole experience was. I don't usually write reviews, but this place absolutely deserves it. If you're looking for an eye doctor, stop searching--this is the one. And if you get the chance to work with Ashlyn, consider yourself lucky.

I've been coming here for my eye exams for about 6 years now. I've always had pleasant experiences…read morebooking the appointment, receiving reminders, checking in, and the actual visits. Because of my sensitive eyes, I opt for the retina photograph instead of getting my eyes dilated - just let the front desk know upon check-in and the tech that takes you back. It's an out-of-pocket cost, but worth it. The techs take you to a different room to have your eye pressure checked and retina photos. Once in the exam room, it's usually a quick (& thorough) visit with the optometrist. I see Dr. Baziz - he's always patient and ensures I have a good understanding of what he sees/looks for. The front desk, techs and Dr. Baziz are all kind and knowledgeable individuals which is why I can't recommend them enough to my family/friends in the area. Though I've moved away from the area, I am happy to make the commute to this practice because I am confident that I am always taken care.

I have an eye condition which makes hard contacts medically necessary. I have had this for over 10 years and have never had issues. I love Dr. Williams and his team. But this time around I was told that my insurance would not cover the fitting and that I would need to pay out of pocket ($600 bucks) which I did. When I went in they treated me like I had never been there before, made me fill out paperwork I had already filled out, charged me for the OOP charge after explaining to me like I was a 5 year old that I would need to pay (which I did). I met with their optical department director after the visit and was given reassurances that they were working on things. I communicated with my health insurance company and they said it was a mistake that I was charged (year, like no crap it was a mistake). I tried to call Katzen multiple times and have left voice mails, heard nothing back. Sent an email through their portal - again, nada. So along with them treating me like I was 5 ,charging me when they shouldn't have, I have now been waiting to hear when my contacts will be ready for 2 full weeks with not a word. Their service has dropped through the floor. If I wasn't so trusting of Dr. Williams (Again, I have seen him for over 10 years) I would leave them. DO BETTER.

At first, I was dazzled by the seeming thoroughness of all the tests, seduced by the glamour. I was quickly whisked through all these diagnostics with no idea what was really happening, until I was presented with a bill for well over $1,500 on my first visit. Then, seeing things broken down, I realized that 90% of the tests had just been done elsewhere, and that I had been given the chance to even explain, or have records transferred, many of which went back a good 5 years, from Johns Hopkins. After this began a series of assurances that my vision could be corrected without any discomfort (such as hard contacts, typical for this condition) and this promise kept changing as the visits went on: At first, it was a dubious recommendation for expensive soft contacts (hardly ever effective to treat this condition), along with prism glasses; then, it was these pricey eye exercises. None of this helped, at all. I ended up in at least $5,000 of debt due to this place, none of which insurance would cover. They may seem kind, caring, and to have all the answers, but, at bottom, they ended up giving nothing but false hope, while hoovering up piles of money. Azman is a show-boating shyster, with a lot of hocus-pocus and smoke and mirrors, ready to bleed your wallet, purse, savings account and lines of credit dry.

They gave me no warning of the costs, & were quick to offer me a 3 mo payment plan, but never gave me an opportunity to decide if the cost was an issue. I plan to follow this up w/ my insurance, & I contacted their office about my shock in this type of seemingly ambush type practice. At the time I had 2 separate vision insurances & medical, which should have covered most if not all of this. To add further insult, the tests were mostly inconclusive & they referred me to an actual glaucoma specialist, where all the tests were covered. If I could give "0" stars I would. Your better off going to the mall for an eye doctor that isn't looking to scam you.

Despite having completed all paperwork online a few days in advance, no staff acknowledged me during this time. When I was eventually spoke with someone to be check in, I was brought back to see the optometrist. Who I overheard him stating to the other man, Lamont, that he would not be seeing any additional patients and could not complete the exam for another family who was already waiting. Concerned, I approached him to confirm my appointment. He informed me directly that he would not be seeing any more patients, including myself, even though my appointment was scheduled in advance. This experience was very disappointing and inconvenient, especially after arranging my schedule and traveling after work. If patients are allowed to book confirmed appointments, they should be honored. Otherwise, the scheduling system should be updated to reflect availability and prevent situations like this from occurring. Before driving off from the store I spoke with Lamont who communicated he was the supervisor at this location. He was amazing in trying to fix the situation but unfortunately another doctor on staff needs to be provided.

They are well aware that some will take their prescription and have the contacts/frames purchased online. But (be warned) they charge much more for the exam itself if you do not want to get their contacts/frames. Because I'm the worst at buying my frames online I just went ahead and bought my glasses from them. I love them! They are totally my style and, the best part, flex spending covered it all...so yay. That said, it was still about $300 so ouch. Kinda the reason I hadn't gotten new glasses since 2017. Either way, if you are overdue for glasses and have some money to spend. We enjoyed the place in Cockeysville
