This morning for brunch we stopped by Ellen's Kitchen, a classic diner in Neptune Beach where the regulars and the staff greet each other like old friends. The room hums with easy conversation, the kind that makes you relax before the coffee even hits the table. I went sweet with the Crescent City French Toast. Thick slices of brioche, soft in the middle with just enough structure to hold the weight of bananas, caramel sauce, and maple syrup. It was unapologetically indulgent and did exactly what brunch should do, it made the morning feel like a small celebration. My wife went savory with the fish and eggs. A simple whitefish fillet, seasoned and grilled on the flat top, paired with fluffy scrambled eggs and a side of baked apples. The fish was spot on, clean, tender, and quietly confident in a way diner fish rarely is. Places like this earn regulars the slow way, by being steady. Good food, warm service, and no pretense, just breakfast done right. 4 out of 5 A dependable neighborhood diner that makes mornings better.

I've been coming to this place for years and have been keeping it secret lol! Two blocks from the beach and such great food!!! The staff is the best and have hardly changed over the years and is essentially a family restaurant. Everything on the menu is amazing!!! They have the best pancakes, they're are soo fluffy and you can even add chocolate chips!

Outstanding hole in the wall restaurant. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The food is made with love and tastes fabulous. I've had the breakfast numerous times, but the Cobb salad with blackened chicken is amazing. The chicken is made to order. With so many breakfast/lunch restaurants in the area, this one is by far the very best. Quality ingredients, delicious and well seasoned.

I want to start by saying the staff here is SO FRIENDLY!! Everyone we talked to was wonderful!! A+ service for SURE. When it comes to food, I was underwhelmed. I think I would just order something different next time though. I got an omelet, and everything was stuffed inside versus cooked into the eggs, which I did not prefer but I think this is totally preference. I also imagine I could have asked for it the way I like, had I known. My mom's hash browns were perfectly crispy and and the bacon was so good!

Inside. Is very pleasant. Food was good. Service was amazing. Nothing really special about anything. If you are just looking for breakfast with good service and pleasant atmosphere this is the place.

Late lunch - got there 30 minutes before they close at 2pm. Just a few customers left as staff began their cleanup. I had the Reuben sandwich with fries. Everything was great. Nice hot fries (like they should be) and a taste Reuben. Wife had breakfast tacos- 2 on the order. Good but have had better. Andy took excellent care of us. So I'm thinking it's a 5.

We came for a quick impromptu Taco Tuesday date night, as we were trying to eat at another restaurant near that had a long wait time. We were quoted 20 minutes to be seated when we arrived but were pleasantly surprised when we got the text that our table was ready only after 5 minutes of waiting. The waitress was friendly, and helpful with the menu with us as first timers. Chips, salsa and queso all came out super quick! Better than that, our food came out quick as well! And the food was amazing!!!! I had three tacos ( Blackened Mahi, Blackened Shrimp, & Filet Mignon) that blew my mind. I have been thinking about these tacos ever since I had them, trying to plan my next visit. The margaritas are great as well, not watered down like a lot of these other Mexican spots! Tacolu has a lifetime customer out of me!

Some non-Mexican people trying to make a spicy taco and they just have the fixins mama left them. My companion ordered a brisket quesadilla. So greasy. He ate half of it. We threw the rest out. I ordered a couple of tacos. Meh. This was so disappointing. We will not be back.

TacoLu - It is nicely designed on the interior. However, the low ceiling makes for a noisy experience when it's busy here.

It's your typical Southern breakfast/lunch spot and all the staff are so friendly. There is a bar area, dining room and an outdoor patio that is enclosed. I like the bar area or dining room best. Our go to dishes are the omelets, breakfast burritos, breakfast platters, or pancakes. They do offer daily specials and my son had one on Saturday that he loved. It was a Duval breakfast/lunch platter that was huge. I love their mimosas and usually do the mango one and or the bourbon sugar one. Very casual restaurant with table service and on weekends there is typically a wait. Check them out.

The pancakes were fluffy and delicious--not grainy, as they sometimes can be at other places--and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I'd absolutely come back and would definitely recommend the restaurant. The only thing that kept me from giving it five stars was that, with a name like Orange Blossoms, I was hoping to see a little more orange or citrus-inspired creativity on the menu. For example, the pancakes had the usual fruit topping options like blueberries, strawberries, and bananas, but I was secretly hoping for something like candied oranges, an orange compote, or even marmalade. A citrus-infused glaze on the beignets would be fantastic too. Even the coffee menu could have some fun with the theme--an orange-flavored latte or a chocolate-orange mocha would be outstanding and would give the restaurant something a little different from the usual breakfast offerings. This isn't really a complaint--more of a suggestion, because the food itself was excellent. I'll definitely be back!
