Ginger Ice Cream!!! I have never seen it before but I had to have it! It was tangy sweet and spicy! I loved it. They do offer samples disregard the posted signs!! I think I sampled a few options but the ginger was top choice. The older gentleman working was nice and helpful. All ice cream is homemade and prices are comparable. Small creamery in Charlotte that is worth a visit. They had about 30 flavors to pick from offer cones or bowls for ice cream.They also offer milkshakes and you can order cakes too! It is small with a few seats but they do have a bench outside where you can sit to enjoy! We were able to park on the street right in front of the store.
A little difficult to find, but the maple pecan ice cream was good. I was disappointed that the waffle cones weren't fresh, but overall it was good ice cream.
Delicious ice cream, great prices, and a welcoming local vibe. Service was great. Perfect spot to support a local business! :)
I really enjoyed this ice cream shop on a hot and humid charlotte's summer day. The ice cream and waffle cones are homemade and the price tag is just right.. $3 for a single scoop in a cup or cone. Fresh made waffle cones are $1 extra. I appreciated the flavors here.. mint Oreo was my favorite! Some other notable ones are the cake batter (with sprinkles), Reese's, and butterfinger. The owners seem to work in the front and back of the store.. they are very committed to their product. I definitely recommend getting a scoop of in the area.. and supporting a local business!
I feel like this was Charlotte's original ice cream shop, so I had been meaning to give it a try. I'm a sucker for the unique flavors at Two Scoops and Golden Cow though so it took me a while to make it here. We had lunch in the area and decided to stop by after. It's a small shop with a bar that has a few seats. You can park on the street right outside. They have a good selection of flavors. While not quite as creative as some of the newer shops in town, they still have a good variety that you don't find at your average ice cream shop. They only let you sample three flavors which is a little annoying when there are so many to choose from. I decided to go with the cake batter and the pralines and cream. Both were very good. Everyone else I was with also enjoyed the flavors they got. I got a regular with the two scoops which were a little small. I definitely wanted more when I was done! This is a good little ice cream shop that I definitely recommend checking out if you're in the area.

Cute little ice cream shop off of the walkable Elizabeth Ave. The inside is tiny, but does include some high top seating, benches outside are your best bet. The best part is the homemade waffle cones-- including chocolate dipped ones. Yummy flavors like Reese's, brownie fudge, mint Oreo, heavenly hash (with 'mallows and peanuts) and cake batter. It's a little pricey, but delicious and with it to support local!
I love Ice Cream and Elizabeth Creamery hit the spot! I had heard they had moved locations, but am not in the area too often so was so excited when a friend recommended we stop in after dinner. Located behind Carpe Diem in a small, but quaint little spot, we ventured in on a Thursday night. The location is small so it was a little tight since there were four other customers in the shop. After looking over my choices, I did ask to taste two, coffee and mint chocolate chip. The mint chocolate chip was so good, the mint flavor hit the spot. Prices are reasonable and the ice cream is handmade and you can tell. A definite treat if you are in the area.
First time getting ice cream here after hearing about it for years and loved it! No samples right now because of covid (which seems ridiculous), but man working there was super friendly. Will absolutely be back!

A cute little charming ice cream shop that is in walking distance from the uptown area. If you take the free trolly train up Elizabeth and get off right past the college, it sits to the left on the side of building the other resteraunts are on. Just google it with walking directions. I git the one scoop orange sherbert cake cone. It was delicious. Can't wait to go back. read more

Exactly as advertised. Homemade ice cream tucked away in the cute Elizabeth area. I ordered the black raspberry with a waffle cone. Both are homemade at that location which I love. The ice cream was so creamy and really flavorful. The waffle cone was crisp and sweet, it was like having a cookie when the ice cream was gone. I love that this is just a no-frills establishment with good product. There is minimal seating indoors, so visit on a day where you can stroll around the area and enjoy! read more

We were just driving around and wanted ice cream. Wow I'm so glad google maps lead us here. The outside is unassuming but when you open the door you're in ice cream heaven! They have around 20 flavors but being the ice cream purist that I am, I opted for vanilla in a waffle cone with sprinkles. My husband got blueberry cheesecake in a waffle cone. Let me tell you - WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! The vanilla was not overly thick, just the right amount of cream and fresh. But the waffle cone was the highlight. I have NEVER tasted such a light, not overly sweet and flaky waffle cone! I am so glad I got that and not the cup. I'd go back just to get more cones! This is definitely a hidden treasure. I will be back for sure!!! read more
I thought this place was just okay. I've had much better ice cream at other places in Charlotte (and for waaaaaay cheaper prices when you consider the scant quantity they give you). In addition, I found a hair in my ice cream. I will not be coming back to this place. Maybe they were just off their game? As there are plenty of other glowing reviews on this place. Unfortunately, this was just not my experience. read more

This ice cream is tasty, there is no denying that, but I, basically, think all ice cream is tasty. Because I'm obsessed. For the price, I left feeling like I should have gone to my favorite local spot to pay the same amount and receive, what seems like, double the quantity. The gentleman behind the counter, presumably the owner, was not big into conversation. He allowed me to sample a few flavors which I appreciated. For 2 scoops costing about $6 I expect more ice cream. I won't be rushing back in for me. I had the cake batter and it was decent - not overly sweet or overwhelming with chunks of cake, which is a positive to me. The flavors do not change often and I was assured they will NOT have pumpkin this Fall, which essentially means I won't be back for a while because I love pumpkin ice cream and will certainly be heading where pumpkin is available as soon as I can! I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars but the value just wasn't there for me. read more

Elizabeth Creamery is located behind Carpe Diem, in an area that is bustling and filled with restaurants to try. My colleague and I were in the area eating and running errands and decided to make the quick walk over for some ice cream, given it was relatively warm outside. The first thing I asked when I walked in was if they make their own ice cream. I'm a fan of ice cream shops that actually make their own ice cream versus places that order in bulk ice cream from somewhere else. Seems like Elizabeth Creamery makes their own ice cream - you can kind of tell just by looking at their ice cream and containers. They allow you to sample up to 3 flavors. I tried the grape (which tasted exactly as I thought it would) and the cake batter... eventually went with a single scoop on a regular cone (wish they had sugar cones) of the cake batter ice cream, which was pretty much like a birthday cake ice cream without the frosting swirls, but with plenty of sprinkles! The ice cream was soft and smooth and tasted exactly like cake. It was a bit more on the soft/melty side than I'm used to, but I'm glad it wasn't icy. The cone was the basic kind of cone that had no flavor - wish I would have noticed that they also have waffle cones. The service here was okay - the guy, which could have been the owner, was more reserved and not talkative whatsoever. Maybe he didn't like the fact that I pointed out that there was a visible hair in their ginger ice cream. Regardless, I would return! read more
Does 3 stars reflect poor quality of service to yelpers??? I hope not cause this place is decent but it's just aight. I got the Reese's ice cream as a milkshake and maybe it was just the ice cream... maybe I should have just gotten this on a cone. I mean... it's just aight. But I'll give them another chance. It's down the street from my job so on another hot day I'll walk over and try another flavor on a cone. No issues with the service. Location is cool. It's just aight. read more

Wicked good homemade ice cream! The Kims can definitely whip up some tasty treats! All the flavors I sampled were really, really good. Banana, Coconut and Pistachio! Wow! I settled on Mango and Black Cherry and did not regret it...until I tried my friends Green Tea. Incredible explosion of a "not too sweet", delicate tea flavor that lingers on your taste buds! Dang! Don't you hate when the person next to you has food that tastes better! A single scoop is $2.99 but a double is only $1 more - so you have a good excuse to just go ahead and get two! read more

Not.* Will keep this simple & sweet, like Elizabeth Creamery. Tiny cute place run by a pleasant yet reserved couple who make some of the best, creamiest homemade ice cream I've ever had. Fresh ginger is a staple in my home, so chose that flavor, and turtle. The ginger ice cream REALLY tasted fresh grated from the root. Turtle had sweet globs of caramel throughout. Because of the stark contrast of each flavor, was slightly concerned about them blending together as they melted on top of each other. No need. Had no idea side by side double-scoop cones even exist! Brilliant! Born with an affliction-like fascination with the "how" of everything, I asked permission to photo the making of the waffle cones. A man immersed in his craft is a sacred thing, so I stood back in reverence. They were tickled by my interest. May I try every single flavor before I croak. read more
This was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. It's a smaller space but I didn't mind. They had chairs inside and a few outside. You can tell it's family owned and I really like that. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Answered our questions and was quick at checking us out. They had a large selection of flavors too! I got the vanilla scoop with a regular cone. My friend got the chocolate scoop and really liked it. Everyone else loved their ice cream. We will definitely be back! read more

With so many ice cream shops in Charlotte it seems like everyone is just jumping on the wave of ice cream shops. Unfortunately this shop is not worth your visit. The attendant wasn't friendly and at no time offered us a sample of any of their old stale flavors. I had the butter finger ice cream which had a very faint taste of peanut butter and the ice cream is definitely OLD! read more

Its about 3.50-4.00 for a single waffle cone. But their single scoop is a LOT.
