Everything was going good with the person that was assigned to do my pedicure when he wrapped my feet in towels and walked away to do someone's nails. Another guy came who mine you was doing a pedicure on someone else and was wearing gloves. This individual decided to try and grab my feet with the same gloves! I said you aren't changing your gloves? And he just looked at me with a puzzled look... then he "painted my toes" y'all I could've done a better job at it with my non dominant hand. I had to speak up and the sweet lady tried to fix it but there was no fixing that she suggested I get another color and proceeded to bring me some options. She re did my whole pedicure but still looks like crap! I will not be going back EVER!!! I'll leave some photos! Maybe with gel polish they are better but with regular HECK NO! today i went in there with my friend. the pedicure was horrible and even walking in was a nightmare. we got greeted by TERRIBLE service. while the pedicure was happening, the guy doing it was hitting on my friend the entire time. which i understand she's pretty but it is not very professional to do that. i will never be returning to this place ever again and this isn't even the worst part. the actual pedicure that i paid $55 for came out worse than a 6 year olds paint job. i definitely do not recommend coming here since there is a better one across the street. read more

I have a terrible experience. this place needs to be closed. Or hire workers who know how to do manicures . Came in for a gel polish removal and powder coated manicure service. Came out after gel polish removal and manicure service. I didn't cover it with powder because it looked terrible. Mine are in the photo right after the manicure, after removing the gel polish, the gel polish is still on the nails. my fingers ached from the pain and nail files. As for sterilization, I generally have great doubts about the cleanliness of the instrument. The photos may explain my worst experience of my life - visiting this salon. people who do manicures should at least take several courses and have an idea of ​​what nails are and their structure. and do not file your nails with a cutter; this is done with a nail file. The service was amazing! I walked in not knowing what exactly I wanted, I just told the gentleman my favorite colors and he with another lady did a wonderful job! They took really good care of my nails and made sure I was pleased with them! Review from August 2023. I've lived in Denton for over 20 years and this was the worst experience and pedicure I've had in town. I guess the fact that I was the only customer should have been a clue. First of all, the pedicure bowl sprayed up into the seat onto me and my purse. It was like a cartoon. The man doing my toes was just nonchalantly trying to trying to turn it off. Not urgency at all. I was soaked to my underwear and literally poured water out of my purse. The pedicure itself was horrible. It was all over my skin and my cuticles were not trimmed, so the polish was just sitting on top of them (it later peeled off a week later). The guy also decided to bring up how Covid wasn't real as he was doing my toes. The manicure the woman gave me was fine, but then she went to massage my shoulders. She was about one inch from my face and just kind of shimming my shoulders back and forth. It was like an episode of Punk'd. I highly recommend going somewhere else. read more

OMG, horrible outcome. the guy kept saying I had a lot of skin around my cuticles which was odd because I just had a manicure 2 weeks prior. When I left, my cuticles hurt, I am bleeding and the gel has a chip in it. He painted gel on my cuticles and my toes look like a 3 year old did them. Never going back here again. Oh and he seems nice but all he does is talk about how bad Covid is and doesn't shut up. If I wanted to talk about the misery in the world, i would watch the news. Not relaxing at all. read more

I happened upon this salon as a mistake from my Groupon purchase. I couldn't be happier with this mistake! Though probably pricier than what you could find elsewhere so close to a college campus, the services paid for were soooo worth it! I had an organic Mango foot massage/pedicure and gel manicure. Service was quick as they had two girls working on my simultaneously, and the pedicure was so relaxing and exactly what I needed. In my hasty visit, I didn't get the names of anyone who helped me, but everyone who helped me was extremely friendly and professional. The gentleman (possibly the owner) was especially friendly and helpful. I was the last guest in the salon and was waiting for my Uber outside as the employees left, and the aforementioned male employee saw me waiting and offered me a ride home, (mind you, this was my first visit and I am by no means a regular) which just showcases how they go above and beyond for their patrons. Incoming: this is long. This is almost 10 months late, but hey, I've been busy. So here it finally is. I thought I could trust this place because I had a good experience a couple of years ago. Either management/ownership has changed, or they really don't give a crap anymore. I, along with a bridal party of 5 I was with, went here late March 2018 since two of us had good experiences the first time. We had an appointment, and it was several hours before the rehearsal, so no rush. My friend, the bride, chose a nude plain polish for mani/pedi with no added spa treatment. She's not really a get-your-nails-done kind of gal due to having very sensitive nail beds and sensitive, fair skin as a natural redhead, but she decided to do this with us because it was her wedding. Right off the bat they hassled her about needing to do gel. She was insistent that they stay with regular polish so she could remove it in a few days, but she caved with enough persistence on their end. She made sure to warn them of her sensitive skin and nails. We were chatting it up and didn't realize they completely got the color wrong. It was dark blood red. She was disappointed but took some of the blame for not seeing them apply the wrong color while we were talking. She asked if it was possible to remove it and reapply the correct color or if it would be a hassle. "If not," she said "I can stick with this color." They assured her that reapplication was easy and quick, but they gave her no insight as to what they would do. Some guy then comes out, seeming pretty put off, and he proceeds to jump right in to dremeling the gel polish off her toes. She was crying out in pain while apologizing for the commotion the whole time. My friend is sweet, soft spoken, and very non confrontational, and there she was with a beet red face, occasionally yelping with tears streaming down her face, all while apologizing to a guy who occasionally sighed in frustration. When he was done, you could see bloody areas on her toes where he had been too aggressive and dug too deep into the nail and skin. He reapplied the correct color, and he moved on. All in all, her process of basic manicure, pedicure, and redo took like half the time of everyone else. Other girls got full sets, I got full mani/pedi spa treatments from their fancy menu, but the bride didn't opt for more than their most basic package gel mani-pedi. She was told her total would be like $30 something for each. But when we went to check out individually as we finished, two of us decided to buy the bride's services separately, unbeknownst to one another or the bride. The dremel guy, who I can only assume is a manager/owner, did the checking out for all of us as we came up. A charge of $55 was added for her services to my own, and I thought, cool, he gave a little discount to apologize for gouging through her toenails the day before her wedding. Well upon further investigation once we left, unbeknownst to any of us, another bridesmaid offered to buy her services and had the same fee added to her bill. $55 per service is about what I paid, and my services took double the time to complete, including the redo. So either this guy just didn't check with her original tech to verify what services she got, he intentionally overcharged us, or he charged an extra fee for having to redo the mistakes of someone else. Either way, no discounts or apology were ever given. If anything, my friend was made to feel like a total jerk for having that done. Keeping in mind that, we were in no rush--so an acetone removal would have been just fine, she made sure to tell him about her sensitive nail beds many times, and she was only asking about changing the color if it was possible. He could have told her what he was going to do, and she would have stuck with the original incorrect color. So we paid over $110 before tip between two of us bridesmaids just so the bride of our group could get little more than a quick dunk and a scrub, a gel nail polish she didn't want, emotional and physical abuse, and a day of agony the following day at her wedding as her toes throbbed in her shoes. TL;DR Never again. These people don't listen, they're unnecessarily put off the moment something is wrong, and they may try to scam you. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would this place is terrible the man that did my toes did a sloppy job on my pedicure that I paid $40 for and when it was time to check out he tried telling my boyfriend it was $45 instead liar trying to get people out of extra money. I had to ask him to repaint my toes because multiple were not completely painted and the same night when I got home I realized my toes were already ruined. The lady hurt me trying to dig under my toe nail... she cut the sides of my nails and now they are all uneven and miss shaped, I have polish smears on my foot and on the sides of some of my toes. This place use to he nice but has really gone down hill along with the service. The massage chairs are very old and have a pink towel over the back end of it where you cannot see where it is very worn. The remote to the chair did not work so the massage chair did not work. The guy talked nonstop and will not let you relax. All he did was talk about another high maintenance customer that comes in every two weeks. It is May and they still have Christmas decorations up. I'm very upset that I had to pay $45 for the service I received. The gentleman who painted my toenails is also the guy who gave me my pedicure, his idea of painting your toenails is glopping the nail polish on so thick and then coming back through with nail polish remover to get it off your skin. Prior to all that he took a nail drill to my toenails and there was no reason for that. Most nail places buff them up. Do not go here!!! I went to get my nexgen off and a "polish change" and when i went to check out she told me $25 because it was a manicure. I told her I did not ask for that. Also I don't know what they classify as a "manicure" but all she did was slap lotion on and then took a hot towel and rubbed it all of, defeating the purpose of the lotion. After an hour of leaving the salon my nails were already chipped and breaking. While she was doing my nails she filed them down so much it hurt and the nails were still left frayed and uneven. I've never had a worse experience at a nail salon. For one, I went after I got off work and just wanted to relax. The guy kept asking me 50 million questions and said "huh" before I could even open my mouth to speak. Couldn't tell if I wanted to cry bc of the headache or bc he kept cutting me. Then when he was done with my 50 layer dip I had to beg him to stop using a cuticle cutter to cut off my skin and the left over dip powder he left all over me. Well, that was a total disappointment! Had my nails done this Morning at Elite Spa & Nails in Denton (see picture). The nail technician is a quiet, professional man that does a really great job and he is nursing my damaged nails back to health. However, the other "ladies" at this establishment are neither professional nor are they quiet. The noise level rose higher and higher. The technician asked them to keep down the noise while I was washing my hands and these other ladies laid into him in a really disrespectful way. On my way back to the table I stated that yes, it is too loud and the disrespect displayed is not correct. One of the ladies flew off the handle, telling me to mind my own business and that she gives a "f$$k" of what I think. She was belligerent, nasty and threatening. Once I was finished, I took a picture of them (see attached) and I will report this establishment. On my way out, the nasty person called me a "bit$$" and gave me an obscene gesture. Now, I'm a paying customer that is looking for good service, relaxing atmosphere and pleasing surroundings. This place gets an "F" in pretty much every category. However owns this place, you better get control of the staff! An official complaint will be filed with the city of Denton. read more

Yes yes yes! If you are looking for a fair price and people who know what they're doing, this is your place! I have been going here for 2 years and I have never been disappointed. If you are looking to get an eyebrow wax that is relatively inexpensive, they do them for about 10 dollars and they ALWAYS do a great job! I have very thick brows and they know just how to make them look presentable! They can be a little sarcastic sometimes but it's all in good fun and don't take it personally! They say they open at 10am on Monday's, so I got there at 10:15, tried to open the door and it was locked. Then as I was about to get in my car to I payed $25 for a horrific fill. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE We have been here a handful of times and usually have a fairly good experience, but today was different. My daughter wanted to get her nails off so we went back to the place that put them on and I decided to run over to Target instead of waiting. I returned about 40 minutes later to find my daughter still soaking her fingers in acetone. I asked if someone was going to come and take off the nails (they had already started on others that walked in after us) and a man came over a few minutes later. He sat down to start my daughters take off and proceeded to tell me that no one likes to do this. To which I replied just because they don't like to do it doesn't mean you leave someone there for almost an hour soaking in acetone. He must not have liked what I said because he told my daughter to go wash her hands and when she came back she said lets just leave. They just lost some good tipping customers because we will never go back. read more

I have had many many mani-pedis and this one was the worst. The place looked great for a nail salon but that's it. I am expected to look decent when I go into work and I think everyone should be the same way. And typically I don't care what people look like, but what you look like when you are at work is a direct reflection of who you could be when it comes to working. There were three people there that I thought were actually wanting to work. An older lady and what looked like to be her two daughters. Unfortunately my boyfriend and I did not get any of them. They got really busy and I believe because there wasn't enough staff they just wanted to rush everything. We had two other girls. The girl who did my toes did a decent job. Typically when I get a pedi I get really good foot rubs and that did not happen. The hot stone massage maybe lasted 2 minutes total for both legs. The owner of the place did my manicure that lasted 5 minutes not even joking. He soaked my nails really fast, "fixed" my cuticles, put a bottom coat and called it a day. No hand massage, NOTHING. He tried to get me to do gel, but I said no, he replies, "it's not my fault if your nails last 3 days. Don't come back and blame me." Thanks dude this isn't my first rodeo! The same girl who did my toes, finished applying my nail polish. My boyfriend who had his first experience said it wasn't worth doing it again and nothing like what "girls" talk about. His lady didn't even want to be there from what it looked like. She barely scrubbed his feet, his toe nails looked almost the same as to when we walked in, and he didn't even get his hot stone massage (we mentioned it twice and she asked what we were doing...also I was sitting right next to him??) I watched her do someone else's pedicure and she barely was doing anything. She wasn't even paying attention to what she was doing. My boyfriend was also supposed to get a manicure and they forgot. When I mentioned he was supposed to get one also, she was just like oh, and someone else did his nails. He has awful cuticles and those didn't get worked on as much as they should've. He didn't get a hand massage either. She asked if he wanted the clear coat and I jumped to say yes. She then asked if I wanted it on my toes, and on his. I got a pedicure with a color, what happened to my clear coat in the first place? It was just plain lazy. I was pissed. Worst experience for me getting my nails done, and definitely a first bad experience for my boyfriend. In conclusion, if you want to get a GOOD mani/pedi don't go here. While they were doing my nails, I asked if they were putting on the next gen because that is what I specifically wanted. The guy straight up lied to my face and said yes and then I found out later he was giving me solar acrylic. Thank goodness they were the same price or I would have demanded a refund. I called and they were very unapologetic and told me to clarify next time (even though I did!! Before they started and during).
