No response no when requesting a call back Also quality of work is poor .unprofessional work First .they came out to do a stoppage Claimed that we needed a toilet replacement .alao we were told that the main line had a belly and need to be fixed. Concrete 15x8 area cut with a 4" grinder.no straight cuts and crack connected concrete area All dirt and concrete were placed right on top of the surround concrete until I provided a trap. They did run new sewer and water line Poor quality of work shower drain not center ,pex was used for new water lines All li e were short and needed them to be extended Hole made for the 3/4 pex were 1/12 hole I need to strap each hole down, Know tile is done and finding out shower valve is To deep into the wall. This company can't get their scheduling and dispatch together. When I had sent for a repair request, at first a guy called me and said they will come 7/13/25 between 1-3pm. On the phone call, I provided my name, address, and email to confirm the appointment. Then couple minutes later I got their text message saying they can come 7/12/25 between 10-11am. I replied "sure". Then IMMEDIATELY after that, they sent another text saying they can come between 12pm-1pm. Again, I replied "sure". Then they bombarded me with multiple text switching back to the 10-11am slot, then I got ANOTHER text saying the appointment couldn't be completed and I need to call the office. I then called the office, and the lady said she didn't see my appointment so she asked for me info (which I provided again) to book me for 10:30am - 12:30pm. I waited till 12:45pm and nobody showed up. I called the office and the lady told me they had an emergency job and need to reschedule for tomorrow. At this point I'm like ?????? Worst communication, scheduling, and dispatch combined all together. Honestly if they can't even get a simple appointment booking and dispatch task down, how can a customer trust they will fix your plumbing issues? Wasted 2.5 hour of my time between calling, waiting, replying texts and then finding out that the technician all of a sudden can't come due to an emergency work. Hello fellow Yelp! users, I'm posting my message here since Elite Rooter management has refused to speak to me directly regarding my complaint. I called their answering service at least a dozen times and always got the runaround. Here's the situation: We had major plumbing work done back in October 2025 to fix what we were told was a sagging sewer pipe. Mind you, what we called them in for was a toilet that was not flushing well. Their diagnostic suggested the problem was with the sewer pipe and not the toilet. They charged us ~$12K to excavate through the bathroom and bedroom floors to fix a "sagging sewer pipe". My mistake for not supervising the project closely and getting a day to day run down on what was actually being done for this fix. Nonetheless, they finished the job, closed up the ground and poured cement to patch up the foundation. I asked the workers why the cement level in the work areas in both the bedroom and bathroom were not flush with the rest of the existing foundation. They told me, "oh, that's alright, your flooring guys will take care of it". I was rather naïve and was eager for them to finish the job since the work had dragged into a second week and didn't question further. Aside from being negligent with restoring our foundation to its baseline, they did not even bother to re-install the toilet to see if our original problem of the toilet not flushing well was even addressed. Again, I should have been on this but one would expect a reputable business to do this walk through with the customer to show that the root issue was indeed resolved. The flooring contractor came in to re-install the floor. Sadly, communication was very poor with this contractor and they did not tell me they were charging me $2700 extra to sand down the foundation before they could re-install the laminate floor in the bedroom and tiles in the bathroom. I did not get the itemized bill until after they had completed the flooring job and re-installed my toilet. The floor was closed up, my son's toilet is still not working, and I was stuck with paying an extra $2700. Elite Rooter refuses to refund me the $2700 and tells me that I should have notified them and they would have come back to sand down the foundation. My question is why didn't their guys do it right in the first place? When the manager came to see the continued problem with the toilet, he said to me, after pouring a 5 gallon bucket of water through the toilet successfully, "oh, it's your toilet, it probably needs to be replaced". Again, why was this not evaluated at the outset or at the end, when they closed the foundation? I am posting this here with the hope that Elite Rooter "management" takes this complaint seriously and reaches out to me to resolve this issue since I don't want to escalate this further. All I want at this point is for my son to be able to use his toilet again. read more

Booked Elite Rooter online for a clogged kitchen sink and they showed up within 30 mins of me submitting the request. Jesus and David were super helpful and got straight to work. They offered the $69 special even though I didn't have an accessible clean-out, which I really appreciated. They also offered a camera inspection, but I declined since we'll be moving soon and didn't feel the need. Everything's working great now. No one showed up so I called the company and was told now that the driver had a tire blowout and would not be able to come to my house until 3:00pm. !!! DO NOT TRUST WHAT THESE SCAMMERS SAY!!! I'm so thankful that we caught them in their lies when we did. We had a clogged pipe and called Elite Rooter to figure out what the problem was. They charged a $400 deposit, dug up our pipes and LIED about how the pipes were clogged. They wanted our family to move out for a week to break up our floors and redo the piping and would take out a loan in our name to cover a $62,000 job!! When asked if we could see the problem they refused to show us, rather showed a fake little root and explained that the pipe was clogged to the brim. After personal investigation we realized that it was all a lie. We ended up calling our family friend to help us and they were shocked by what Elite was asking for and telling us. It turned out to just be some dried toilet paper that they were able to snake out in no time. I'm so upset at the time that was wasted and inconvenience that was caused for my family by Elite Rooter (specifically Rafa & Dion) so I warn you all, PLEASE approach with LOTS of caution! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I originally had Elite Rooter snake the drain for my toilet which turned out to be a temporary fix (not their fault). Had them come back out a couple days later for the same issue and put a camera down the drain. Found out I needed all new drain pipes and scheduled the repair, putting down a deposit and financing the rest. I got a second quote a day later that was much more reasonable and included additional repairs so I canceled the service with elite rooter. I've now been trying to get a refund for the services not performed for three months. I've called every single week, and each time I'm told by their call center that my issue has been escalated to a manager, the accounting department and someone will call me. I have yet to ever receive a single call or email from them and had to start a dispute over the financing payments I was being charged for. Once again, they can get someone out to your house, but don't expect anyone to ever follow up with you if there's an issue. Look elsewhere. read more

I received their information from the horrible app called thumbtack. When they messaged me we had scheduled an appointment for 4:00 p.m. On the appointment day they called at 4:47 p.m. & said that they will be there in 22 minutes. The worker/driver didn't apologize or even have an excuse as to why they were going to be an hour and a half late. I actually thought they weren't even going to show. There were 2 employees who were polite and answered my questions. When they tried cleaning out my drain, they said the cable was hitting something. I asked if they were able to get at least some of the "gunk" out & they replied "the bare minimum." I wasn't 100% sure what that meant. But I thought since I was paying $70 maybe some of it will come out and I can wash my clothes without the backyard flooding with gunk from the washing machine & kitchen sink drain. When they were finished they mentioned the hydro jet service and how I would need that to clear out my drain. I asked a couple questions about it and the price of it was pretty expensive. They did offer me a coupon and a discount on the hydro jet service if I were to get it. Overall the service was ok except the part where they were about 2 hours late. I won't be using the thumbtack app anymore. I just don't think I should have been charged $70 for what they did...because as soon as they left I washed a load of clothes. During the wash, the flooding of the drain into my backyard was exactly the same. So the cable that was used, did not fix my drain clogging issues at all. read more

I too had a horrible experience with Dion and Elite Rooter. My project took approximately 7 mo.started in June 2023. Completed the middle of January 2024. I will name a few problems. 1. Workers would come work a few hours ,say they had to go get parts not come back that day. 2 .Dion lied to me about a permit. Never got permit until 2 weeks after he said job was complete. Approval from City took 7 months. 2. Dion accused me of having spies report to me on his workers. Dion accused me of making complaints to yelp this was back in July.This is my first complaint that I have ever made. During this 7 mo. Of time I had 2 leaks,that had to be repaired. 3.appointments was made 5 times with the city for approval.the contractor had to be there,either they wouldn't show,equipment was not functional, there were leaks,so on the 5th try and 7 mo I got the work approved. 4. Once work was said to be completed,they said the hot water tank was old and they couldn't get it to work. Wanted to charge me$3000.00 for a tank. I refused and got another co. To install for $1000.00 less than their quote. I finally had to put in a complaint with the State of Cali. contractors License Board. I agree Dion is not truthful,over charged me . Called again and she sounded surprised someone still hasn't called me back. I also saw how many people your company has scammed when I looked you up on Better Business Bureau. How many people Dion has screwed over. Heard from multiple people that this is what your company does. I would like the $1,400 back that I initially paid and for the $6k you charged my credit card refunded. No work was completed. All that I was left with was a huge mess of concrete all over my hard and cigarette buds. We've used Elite Rooter a few times in couple of years. They are always suggesting things to have done (up sell) they convinced on a hydro clearing. $1200 to clear. I don't know, but they had to be here another time this week, and claimed I needed additional work done.. they were supposed be here again on Friday. I called on Saturday to see if they were coming, and they said Monday. Well, I called a different Plummer and they claimed elite rooter is notorious for these kind of tactics. Said it was an easy clear. If you use them, or use them, see if they try to up sell you on things you don't need. read more

FOR YOUR SAKE, DO NO HIRE ELITE ROOTER OC FOR ANY JOB, and ESPECIALLY AVOID DION--he is the ultimate fraudulent business manager and cannot be trusted. Numerous previous reviews have stated that Elite Rooter creates its own fake, good reviews (which is much more believable now, after dealing with Dion over the last 5 months and receiving contradictory texts that flat out lie about the project). Elite Rooter over charges for their work, does not completely it timely, expects the customer to constantly reach out and follow up, and will promise appointment times and never show up as you waste your day waiting for them. Our outdoor drainage projected started in early March 2023, with a promised finish date of 3-5 days. The initial work was completed in 2 weeks and was done completely wrong--everything was done incorrectly. Dion argued with me several times about the project, claiming it was done correctly, until after several weeks he admitted the entire project was wrong. Elite Rooter fired one of their workers who told me directly "to be honest, this is a last priority project since it is a re-do". It has now been 5 months and no final walk through was conducted, including verification of the drain system or correction of financing that was promised to us. Dion has strung me along for over 5 months with promises to show up to the property to get things done, but has never done so. Those promises included "having all documentation ready to correct financing" and documentation outlining a discount to the total price due to the numerous issues with the work. After 5 months of telling me this and no-showing to appointments, Dion claims that now he can't do anything. Which, means he was lying when he scheduled appointments over the weekend claiming to have all the documents ready to go. I encourage all customers of Elite Rooter who have gone through similar fraudulent and workmanship error experiences to reach out, as I will be filing a lawsuit directly against Elite Rooter OC, and Dion individually, for their actions. read more

First let me say I have no issue with the quality of the work that was done. Where I do have issue in communication and what felt like a bait and switch (although I was not totally informed). I needed a really basic service that was not even so bad as to be absolutely necessary. I needed a bathtub drain which was draining slowly cleared. That seemed simple enough. I called 4 companies that clear drains and finally settled on Elite Rooter. Over the phone I was told they had a coupon for $69 dollars to clear a drain. Of course I knew that the problem might be larger (but it was not). The appointment was set for about 2 hours later. The tech arrived on time. Unfortunately, I was not there (my tenant was taking care of this for me), and I was not reachable during the appointment. The tech informed my tenant that the coupon was not valid. I wanted to know why the coupon was not valid so later that day I called Elite Rooter and left a message. I received a call back perhaps within an hour. I certainly appreciated that promptness. Over the phone it was explained that the coupon only applied when there is an "accessible clean out." In the plumbing world that means one thing, and to me it meant another although I did not see the wording of the coupon beforehand as I was informed about that over the phone. To me, what is more "accessible" than the drain in a tub or a sink. I was informed that "accessible" does not apply to sinks and tubs (why is that not made clear?). It means some other drainage port. Okay, that was my error for not asking about that upfront (although how was I to know), and yet I wish that had been made clear. Then the charge for the simple basic clean out was their base hourly rate of $225. I could have had it done for less than half that. I understand they have a base rate, but that rate is high for a cleanout. Had I been there, I would have thanked them for the call and sent them on their way. (They advertise a "free" diagnosis.) I wish they had informed me that the base rate was $225 when I spoke with them on the phone. If that had happened, I would have hired one of the other less expensive services. I get that $225 may be their going rate for general plumbing, but for my needs that was too much to pay. I hope if you have read this that it will help you to know what you are getting into whether with this company or another. Also, the person answering the phone does not have detailed information so if you want to get clear information ask to speak with a tech or someone who knows. read more

I contacted about 11 plumbers for my backed up kitchen drain here at home Elite Rooter came back with the best pricing and availability so we booked an appointment with them. Rafa came by just slightly after the time window but he more than made up for it with a great attitude and customer service. He wore booties to make sure he didnt track mud and dirt into our home. He assessed our situation and tried to use the cable to clear the kitchen drain but it wasn't effective. He recommended the next step up - hydro jetting the line. Although we didn't sign up for the hydro jetting due to cost we were extremely satisfied with the visit and the fact that he didn't charge since there was no fix, very honest business from Rafa. He also did check out our bathroom line for us because we were having issues with that as well. All around the experience was one I would recommend to any of my friends. read more

First off, I want to say that this is a very very trustworthy and skilled plumbing company. I'm a homeowner with a large home that has a lot of plumbing and I had a seriously tough clogs that despite my best efforts I could not handle by myself. I was really excited to see just how kind and professional Jaime was when he arrived. I always ask my wife if she would feel safe in the house with a technician by herself and she resoundingly said "Yes". I could tell that Jaime is a very experienced and hard working Plumber and because of that Elite has another loyal customer bc thisclog was a doozie. I I have no doubt that this is a field where aspiring for five star reviews is very difficult whether it's because people don't have a very good idea just how much work can go into it or because their expectations are not realistic or whatever but they definitely earned the five stars. I had to swallow my pride and despite my best efforts with various snakes and bladders and air pressure, every possible remedy I could think of, could not beat this clog. In fact they had to call in for an even bigger drain snake and within minutes, it was delivered. I know the feeling and they pulled it off. it's especially important that a company is at least big enough to be able to maneuver and work the logistics the way that the management has here the staff that I spoke with assured me that I'd be getting a call the morning of about half an hour beforehand and I did, and they were very helpful in allowing me to pay telephonically using my credit card. likewise the Plumber that assisted Jaime passed all of the same professionalism tests that I had, and I wish I knew his name because I would definitely mention it here. Thanks again to everyone at Elite Rooter, I owe you one. I'm thankful and impressed that they will charge what is advertised which is becoming a rarity these days and because of that made sure to tip very well and definitely know exactly who to call in the future whenever I have any plumbing issues.
