They can forward me to the manager but I basically just need to wait for Sena to come back. Terrible customer service. Unreliable. I chose to take my business elsewhere. If a company is 100% reliant on one designer --and doesn't have a backup to help customers -- I can't imagine if I did do business with them and something happened that needed mediation. Who do you go to? Who is the next person to step in? Basically you just wait...I support smaller businesses. If they called me to explain and kept in communication it would have been better. But when i called they didn't even know about my appointment.

We finalized everything, signed the contract...and then entered remodeling hell. The individual assigned as "project manager" was incompetent and spoke virtually unintelligible English. The workers were rude and left the worksite a disaster each day. I heard them complaining about our dog (and we were careful to keep her away from them). After one day of chaos we left to stay with family for a week and things rapidly deteriorated. Problems popped up (as they will) and I was left dealing with the project manager and their broken English, only to learn they felt I was the problem for leaving the house in their hands while the demolition took place. They ordered the wrong flooring tile. They mismeasured cabinets (leading to a SIX WEEK DELAY due to their error, with no compensation for the disruption). I watched as they laid the floor tile, asking about proper backing board as the previous owner had retiled without the proper backing board. I was told all was fine. 6 months after the project was done I found five cracked tiles. The workers they hired to paint - idiots. They messed up edging of paint leaving crooked lines. In one place, the color I thought was correct (okay, my error) was obviously not correct but they said nothing. The only contractor I thought was good was the electrician and shortly after "completion", I had to call my regular electrician to reinstall a power outlet that kept pulling loose. We HAD planned, based on our initial experience, to use this company to remodel two master baths. At the end of our (3-4 week estimated) 4 month plus project we just wanted them out of our house. We would never use them again, let alone recommend to our worst enemy. Stay away from this company. Stay far, far away.

The collage also shows additional floor, wall and baseboard tile work accomplished in a third bathroom. This time around we had the same designer/program manager team Feliz and Nick, but the onsite production manger was Milton who only had a minor roll in the kitchen remodel. We were initially skeptical in this change, due to our prejudice for the outstanding success of the kitchen project. Our fears were almost immediately allayed, and we are so impressed by the results of Team Milton. The quality of work, functionality and aesthetics of the two remodeled bathrooms exceeded our expectations. Additional credit is due to Milton's expertise, recommendations, and patience with us. It is of significant note that this was a totally different production team and validates that Prime Custom is not a one pony show. I found them here on Yelp and I obtained 3 quotes for the job. I had the quotes reviewed by an independent contractor who told me L&R's quote was what the job should reasonably cost. I called 4 references who all had a similar and very positive experience. Lawrence always communicated with me about schedule which had not been the case with other contractors. They were there working on my job every day, not showing up once or twice a week like some others. Any fluctuation to schedule or budget was discussed and agreed upon by both parties. We had a couple of unexpected plumbing delays but that was due to the original build not being up to the current code. I changed direction on a couple of design decisions and Lawrence was right there with me. The work was exceptional and the end product is amazing. I have had the nightmare contractor experience so was very cautious. This was exactly as the process should be and I plan to have them back in the fall to do more work. Often he called to say something would be much more money that he had originally quoted us. It has been a few years, and we had a leaking skylight, a bathroom fan that was never connected to the electric source, the dryer vent in the attic was not reconnected and it took a year before we discovered all the lint that was there that we had to clean out. The new Hardie Plank siding had a small gap hidden by a downspout that had resulted in a water leak in our wood kitchen cabinets that we could not find. Finally, a sharp roofer who repaired the other leak and a leak in the downstairs bath, (again due to poor sealing by his roofers), found that missing section of siding. We filled it in and sealed it. It had been leaking for over 2 years and we could not find it. We also had clogged drains in bathroom sinks, gook that they never cleaned out on installation. One vanity was completely destroyed when they tried to install it and had to be replaced. Our builder had measured and told us what sizes to buy and we did. Oh, by the way, did I mention that we bought ALL the tile and bathroom fixtures, lights, tub, sinks, toilets, etc.? This was not a cheap job, and now after a few years, our great electricians, plumbers, roofer have been here many times fixing his mistakes. Don't be fooled by his charming hype.

REVIEW FOR YELP DREAM DESIGN…read more The Dream Design Construction Team was Awesome! We wanted to remove the wall between the dinning room and kitchen to open up the space. We researched many, and obtained quotes from three contractors, one less expensive and one more expensive. Luckily, we decided on Dream Design Construction. Design We had a specific (non-conventional) design in mind, i.e. not the typical big island layout. Additionally, we wanted to add a full bath, a custom pantry, barn doors, and new kitchen windows, flooring etc. We stopped by Dream Design Construction and Yong engineered the design we envisioned that day! Allowing us to see it in 3D. He included things we had not thought of like a pot filler, and coffee bar area. The customized outcome is beautiful. Yong came out and took measurements to finalized the design plan. The Design becomes the Blue Print - - Note: Make sure when you sign the contract that you Know which cabinets will have drawers/ no drawers, pull outs, glass doors etc. or a change order may be required. Contract Their contract was very straight forward which helped us to sign quickly. It stated the price and allowances, installation, demo etc. Yong stated his goal is to ensure 100% customer satisfaction, and he honorably did so. Demo After emptying and packing up the kitchen - Demo was quick! The Team put up plastic zipper walls to cordon off the family room, foyer etc. to limit the amount of dust in other rooms, as well as covering vents. The wall between the dining room and kitchen came down! Mr. Nam was great . The team was here by 8 each day and made sure everything was put away each day and left it as tidy as possible. Construction The build out began and the first inspection was passed. I believe Mr. Nam was key to the success - following Yong Yi's drawing/plans Jose did a great job painting, especially the stove hood/vent - just beautiful. Tile Work is extremely beautiful both kitchen and bathroom. Mr. Nam worked hard in so many areas, requesting input for location of cabinet hardware and providing guidance for light switch locations etc. Mr. Lee framed the windows beautifully, and thankfully Bruce encouraged me to include multiple pendant chandeliers which look absolutely beautiful. Mr. Yong was Very easy to work with and assigned Mr. Kim to perform all the "Finishes" ensuring a perfect result. Final Walk thru/Result Inspection #2 The final walk-through and Inspection were flawless with 100% satisfaction! Just when you are tired of construction...you're done! The remodel was completed AHEAD of schedule, including our last-minute alternatives. BOTTOM LINE: EVERYTHING turned out impeccably beautiful! Dream Design was very accommodating with change items that did not affect the Design footprint-like adding an outlet and moldings for wine fridge, as well as barn doors. They were just so easy to work with.

I was merging into the right lane with my turn signal on to make a turn into a grocery store, and the driver of their van who had a long grey beard aggressively sped up to block me from merging, almost ran my car off the road. As he passed, he was yelling at me through his window. I had my kids in the car. It was reckless, aggressive driving that put me and my kids in real danger. I was genuinely scared and kept distance from his car and passed the grocery store to not go near him. No one should have to worry about being intimidated or endangered by someone representing a professional business.

We recently had Schroeder replace our old sun porch with a 4-season room, and overall we are very…read morepleased with both the process and the end result. During the design phase, the architect, Jessica, was incredibly helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns. We also threw in a curveball only a couple of weeks before the planned start date when we asked them if they could add a basement room underneath the new room; the original plan had been to have just a crawl space. They rolled with it and amended the plans and permits in record time. When we had trouble coming up with how we wanted to use the new room, we met with Jessica again and she had a great suggestion that we ended up going with: make it our living room rather than a home office as we'd planned, and turn our existing living room into an office, with a wall and door added to create an entryway separating it from the front door. Despite all the last-minute changes, they started on schedule and completed the bulk of the work in about 3 months, including several unrelated add-ons we requested. There were some challenges along the way; for example, when they removed a set of sliding glass doors, the wall above them dropped a half-inch because the doors turned out to be load-bearing. But the end result is everything we hoped for and more. During the actual building process, the project manager came to our house often to check on progress, answer questions, etc. Towards the end, the company promptly addressed any issues we had. We are very happy with the work overall. The new living room and home office look amazing, and we now have an extra basement room. No company is perfect, however, so there were a few negatives. For instance, we had a minor flooding issue in the basement due to a hole made during the digging, and there was a painter who seemed to show up only when they felt like it. And we had some confusion over the financial side when we couldn't make a draw on our HELOC immediately due to the invoice being issued during the holidays when it was impossible to schedule the required inspection, and the Schroeder folks kept on calling us about it despite our telling them there wasn't much we could do to force the bank to release the funds given the timing. However, all of these issues were resolved, nothing was damaged by the water that got into the basement, and the project was completed on schedule. We tend to judge a company not on whether there are problems (because that's almost inevitable, especially with a large renovation project), but on how they handle such issues when they arise. Schroeder was responsive to our questions and concerns, and we would absolutely work with them again; in fact, we plan to hire them when we get to the next update we want to do in our home, probably in another couple of years.
