I loved how varied the menu was and how easy it was to interpret (i.e., burgers, tacos, salads, etc.). The tacos were delicious, and the fish sliders had a great crunch to them. My favorite was the sweet potato fries! The service was great. I really admire how the owner was attentive to us, and I was really impressed that he was the person doing all the cooking! The raspberry lemonade was sooo yummy; you could tell it was freshly made. S.O.P. is located inside of Urban Eats. SOP is situated in Urban Eats, a small food hall in South City. I really enjoyed the SOP burger with spicy ketchup. As someone who used to pass on vegan food, I was very happy that this tasted like a regular burger. The only issue I had was the bun was ashy and should have been toasted or warmed up a bit at least. Never just throw a store bought bun on there without greasing her up. The menu had a variety of items, and they also sell tacos. The sweet potato fries were also really, really delicious. They were cooked well, not too mushy and not too firm. It was slow when I went so my order came out quickly. The owner was pleasant and brought my food to me. I really wanted to like this place. As a 30 year vegetarian, I want more eateries like this on the scene. But they really need to work out some logistical issues here. Long wait time with no indication... my hubby ordered from a near by place and was totally done with his food way before I had mine even tho there was no line when I placed my order. Lots was sold out. Plus when I asked questions about what was deep fried the gal at the front didn't really know. The item I ordered was fried even though I asked about this and was told it wasn't. Very disappointed in this. Fortunately the base of the soft tacos which was made by the chef were tasty so it wasn't a total loss. But I'm sure I won't be back for another visit. I really enjoyed Da Picky Vegan. I visited late on a Saturday about an hour before close, still a pretty busy time for them. I chose Da Picky Combo, the burger was very filling and I enjoyed the aioli sauce, it added a little spice, nothing too much but added flavor. I appreciate the option for a gluten free bun, I would not have gotten the burger if it was an option. The sweet potato fries were as expected though the maple flavor to them was unique. UPDATE on 27Jan23 - I went back after being informed that they were initially using Quorn for their chicken, which is vegetarian, not vegan. I spoke with the owner/chef and he apologized profusely. He immediately switched to the Impossible brand instead. He said he plans to alternate between Impossible chicken nuggets and Beyond Meat popcorn chicken. He allowed me to see the packaging for the chicken and the caramel sauce (the bottle said "Vegan"). He isn't vegan but his partner is, so this was a learning curve for him. He also had to clarify that the bread, in fact, does contain wheat, so this is not a gluten-free establishment. Please proceed with caution if you have gluten allergies. I do not know how the mistake was made with the ingredients, but I do appreciate their quick response to rectify the situation. They remade the chicken wings (buffalo flavor) and Chicken Hero for me. Both still very tasty. I plan to continue to support (and educate) this new business in the vegan game. read more

Located in West County Mall in the food court, you will be pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant that is not your run of the mill chain. I visited here during a lunch rush and the owner was: taking orders, cooking, prepping, and cleaning. We ordered the maple sweet potato fries and a "burger." The fires were delicious and had a very unique flavor. I would have never guessed to add maple syrup but it worked exceptionally well. This place is a perfect example of why my struggle to convert to vegan is so difficult. I am repulsed by meat and animal by-products, but every time I try vegan meals it tastes like garbage (is it even real food)??? This place said "picky" vegan so i gave it a shot. Worst idea ever. So disgusting that i threw it all away. The ingredients are so bizarre and make no sense and just don't go together whatsoever. They probably should remove "picky" from their name.
