We cannot recommend Eliminite highly enough! We had done significant research before selecting a company to inspect and treat the termite damage we had seen in our covered patio. We weren't wild about the idea of tenting but did also get a quote from a traditional termite company... their customer service was mediocre and they overestimated the extent of the damage/infestation. We also considered X-Termite but had heard too many people talk about repeat infestations after using them, so we had Eliminite come out. Our initial treatment was provided by several Eliminite techs and included a very thorough inspection, treatment of all areas showing any cause for concern, and replacement of wood where it was needed. The work was impeccable and the techs were all very friendly. They even took the time to educate us on what to keep an eye out for going forward. Even more importantly, they warranty the entire house after they treat. Termites are persistent little critters and we have noticed evidence of new infestations several times. Each time, we've contacted Eliminite and they've addressed it within a day or two. Our tech for these ongoing calls has been Ty, who is wonderful! I called Eliminite two weeks ago knowing I had termites. (Frass easily spotted.) I called, was greeted very cordially and was set up with an appointment for an inspection. Gary (great guy) came out and went over the procedures for termite eradication. I scheduled the appointment for today 6/18/19. Ty (patience of a saint) came out today and went over the procedure step by step. I even got to see how the termite tracker worked and watched Ty work as well. Very, very thorough! The owner, Barry O'Gorman, came to my home and did the pre-inspection and explained in detail what he found (5 areas of infestation) and what the "Orange Treatment" entailed. I am so impressed with this termite family owner company! Over the last 50 years of home ownership, I've never had to deal with termites living in the Inland Empire and High Desert. So now moving to Oceanside, CA my wife and I bought a condo in the 55+ Senior Community of Oceana. I'm very pleased with the service I got from Eliminite. They came out a couple weeks after checking for dry wood termites. The tools they used spotted an additional trail from the attic down the studs thru a bedroom window. The entire house was treated with the orange oil. I'd highly recommend getting an estimate from these guys first, especially if you're planning on tenting. This is a much cleaner way to go. This is a great family local business that provided us the friendliest, most efficient and environmentally- and pet-friendly way to go. The father-and-son team of Barry and Gary is personable and they tell you honestly everything that's going on with your termite damage, yet they don't do anything you do not need or pressure you in any way. We reached out to Eliminite in a last stitch effort to avoid tenting, but keep our refinance on schedule. I had about three hours to decide whether or not to double bag all the food in the house and find somewhere the indoor plants could sit in the yard and get enough shade to live (during the hottest week of the year), as well as find accommodations for my household for the next two nights. I called Eliminite's office and explained my time and financial constraints. They had their inspector John at my door within a half hour. John asked if I was handy or had someone around to help & recommended I make the repairs myself to save on labor so I could just pay for their Orange Oil treatment. With that advice I easily saved $1500 (on the cost of tenting) as well as acquire the tools and know-how for future jobs around the house, and their work is warrantied for two years. I am writing a followup review to my initial review of this great company after 2 years of service from Eliminite. I want to say that we never had issues with termites in the same spots treated by Eliminite during my two years with Eliminite. When you initially pay for their service you get a 2 year warranty that includes an annual inspection at end of year 1 and year 2. Both inspections were done professionally and on time. When they found some new spots, they injected their orange oil treatment and used there touch up paint or my extra paint so that you never noticed the spots where they drilled tiny holes into your exterior wood or stucco to inject their orange oil special treatment solution. The servicemen and the owner Barry were always very friendly, personal, honest, and took the time to explain what they did and if there were any concerns about wood that should eventually be replaced. I called for my annual inspection just before my 2 year warranty was up and Barry (the owner) was kind enough to make sure I was not charged for the treatment and inspection even though he was unable to get someone out until a few days after my 2 yr warranty expired. He also let me decide at the end of the treatment/inspection whether I wanted to continue their warranty services for $350/yr. Ty Wiggins was the serviceman sent out for the 2 year inspection/treatment a couple days ago. He was really kind, respectful, honest, professional, and knowledgable. Just like Barry, it was very nice to hear about his life stories, be so personal, listen, and get honest opinions on my termite situation. Ty did not pressure me at all to continue the warranty for $350/yr. He answered all my questions and was simply just honest with me about my current termites spots that were treated and the risk/potential of more termites coming back. In the end, after weighing the pros of paying $350/yr vs the risk of not continuing their service warranty, I decided to not continue the warranty. However, I will eventually use this great company to replace some trim along my roof where my gutters are attached and have been damaged by termites and wood root. Also, I will recommend them to anyone looking for termite treatment that is waaaaay better than typical tent chemical treatments (no need to leave the house for a couple days, wash all dishes/clothes, remove/throw out food, expose kids and pets to chemicals, etc.) and much better in service and quality work than Xtermite (who is the only other company in San Diego area using the orange oil method to treat termites. I also plan to use them and recommend them to anyone who needs a termite inspection and treatment when dealing with selling or refinancing your house. It's always nice when you find a company that you can trust and provides an effective service where you don't feel taken advantage of or upset with the service done. Gary inspected our house, discussed the advantages of orange oil treatment and a service agreement. Gave us an excellent price. Cesar came today to find out if termites were chewing away at our house. He found some in the attic above the bathroom. He also used a sensor to check walls and attic spaces that were inaccessible. He treated in the attic with orange oil and a non-toxic solution of boric acid that can last up to 8 years. He was prompt, friendly, efficient and amazingly quiet. He was done in a couple of hours. No tenting. No fumigating. The company will come back for two years to re-inspect and take care of any subsequent termites. After that we can renew the service contract for a reasonable fee. As a retired business person for many years I was extremely impressed with this company from my first phone call to them. The woman who answered my call was very polite and listened to my request and set me up right away for their service. The crew of 3 showed up exactly as promised, on time and ready to go to work. I immediately noted that whey drove company trucks with names on the trucks. To me this means that they are not subbed out to anybody with an old truck. The trucks and equipment were spotless and tools arranged nicely. Neat and orderly. This matters to me. The first gentleman on site got right to work checking the lower part of my home for termite damage. No need for a ladder but when a ladder was needed another worker stood and held the ladder until the man came back down. This is good safety protocol which also means a lot to me. When the drilling, spraying and patching were going on they placed tarps to protect my patio and surrounding areas. This matters to me. One other tech checked all the interior walls for infestations. He was quiet and polite and explained what he was doing and even how the instrument works. That matters to me. They spent quite a time in the attic where most of the infestation was and told me on the way back down " they are dead, all of them are dead". LOL, this mattered to me of course. All in all I was very impressed with this company and would recommend them to everyone I know or come in contact with. OH, by the way, before I even called them I read ALL of their feedbacks on Yelp. All great then I come across one, and only one that was so negative that I actually had a good laugh. As I said, I was in business a long time and yes, I know the type sad to say. I have used Eliminite since 2016. They do come out and do the work but you literally have to beg them to come. They offer a contract that says it renews every year with a fee but they never send a notice that you need to renew. Then if by some chance you remember it is too late to renew. They might make an exception. The whole service is based on them coming out and checking once a year for termites yet they don't instigate the calls to come out. You have to. Thee are no emails or online accounts you can keep up to date on. Besides that I have had some problems with the actual service. Particularly oil dripping out of the ceiling or other areas. The person who I spoke to said "well sometimes I remember to call people and sometimes I don't". read more

Even though they were booked many weeks out they rearranged their jobs to accommodate me. They were professional and couldn't be more helpful in explaining the process.
